Classic line spoken while scaling the frozen crags that comprise a veritable Tomb of Eternal Ice, en route to The Secret Crevice overlooking the glacial plateau nestled inside the (Himalayan?) crater known as the Roof of the World, in Episode 4 of TROC (aka: G.I. Joe and the Weather Dominator) BTW, hey Super 7, now that you have released the Arctic Rescue Vehicle, when are you yahoos rolling out those Sluice Sleds I've been waiting for so's that I can fulfill all my winter time tobogganing re-creation needs?
Buzzer, Ripper, Torch and Monkeywrench were the closest thing Cobra had for combat engineers, vehicle recovery and possibly rescue team until the Techno Vipers were launched. Their tools and skills cover most of these functions (okay, some imagination is required).
I have to admit I didn’t realize that he’s the oldest Dreadnok. Looks good for a figure made in 1895. You never know about those swamp boys lol. I am sad that mine is not complete. He has my favorite accessories out of all of them. Great video and as always you do an amazing job with your reviews. To be honest with you I love your new opening of your videos. Thanks for the smile can’t wait to see the next one.
Torch was my first ARAH baddie back in the day and I still have that figure over 35 years later. He saw a lot of action: He's missing both thumbs and the fingers on his right hand, his crotch is long gone, his shades are mostly flesh tone, his skull necklace is mostly black, and his knees are as loose as can be. And thank you, Hoodie, I can't not read or hear about Botany Bay without thinking of Mr. Checkov. Botany Bay? Botany Bay?!
i remember the tonight show where johnny carson and david letterman went through legal allegations with Judge Wopner over David letterman kept an old pickup truck outside his house so johnny carson had it towed away. At the time, takes on characters like Bloom County's Steve Dallas were the new cerebral next wave, whereas the People's Court were not very realistic. Especially from legal-ish standpoints. hope the comments are within line. loving that the reviews are back, keep them coming.
Great review and the Jay Leno bit was another sweet intro. Torch just gives me Lemmy from Motorhead vibes. I am so stoked to have the Dreadnoks and Zartan along with the Tundermachine in my GI Joe collection.
Sure there was one last appearance in the comics, where Zarana gets sick of CC and goes to meet the Dreadnoks and convincing them to go off on some adventure with her. Happened right towards the end of the line. Think it was immediately after CC brought Zartan, Destro and the Baroness back into the fold.
Bless Larry Hama! He obviously saved me from leaving the line for a few more years. Ewok-like creatures..... ugh. Sadly, he couldn't stave off the lousy ideas forever.
I must be old, because when I saw those Tonight Show curtains, it reminded me of Johnny Carson. Along with Ed McMahon and "Doc" Severinsen. HEY-OOOOO!!!!!!!
HCC I have enjoyed your videos for quite some time, but it is time I reveal myself , I too am a cobra agent so says the cobra officer ink I sport upside down on my inner left wrist . when I charge into battle it rides proudly in the air right side up .
Torch was never released here in the UK, I can only assume a character who uses a blow torch/flame thrower as a weapon is a No-no. In the world before eBay, I made contact with an American toy seller and got one sent over.
Been wondering why we didn't get him over here. Good point. We also didn't get Crystal Ball over here, presumably because he was such a low seller in the U.S?
WOW! 1895! You really go the extra mile for us, Hoodie. Fer srs, love your work. Keep being awesome. EDIT: My wife says you're more handsome than Jay Leno.
Leaving out a motorcycle when its three bikers is such a miss. Especially because they came out at the tail end of the motorcycle craze; that coukd've been a great tie in. And I'd have loved them to cross paths with Team America (a Snake-eyes/Marauder meet up was meant to be).
Torch just looked like a bad a$$ biker dude. Buzzard had a cool chainsaw, Ripper had a cool knife rifle and a mohawk, but Torch just looks the best.Boots, vest, skull chain. Just bad a$$. Thank you for the review Commander! Hope you had a good Happy Easter!
Great review for a perfect figure who was my second Dreadnok after Buzzer and all part of my fave faction of the entire Joe saga and that are all the most important part of why the line worked so well. Thanks for covering him so well and yeah as for Jay yeah-yeah-yeah I never got his humor or appeal. Dont forget he stole the Tonight Show from its previous host. So lets see the snake ink!
I think Jay Leno's humor was supposed to be safe, bland, and family friendly. He has a good reputation except for the way NBC bungled the Tonight Show switch.
I don't know why you sit there and tell us what the characters like we obviously see that we can see that he has Greg loves we can see that he's wearing glasses like we can see that you don't get a pointed out and say it it's obvious
Didn’t know Hasbro was making action figures in 1895, but glad to see you’ll go so far back to do a review! 😄😄
Torch may have had a hand in writing that.
Not only was the character of Torch born on Botany Bay, but some of Hoodie's Torch figures were also 'bought on Ebay'.
Torch was the most well-endowed of the Dreadnoks. Wearin’ skinny jeans before it even mattered.
The flame on your Dreadnok chest logo is translucent and looks like it's on fire. Nice effect!
I don't remember the episode but my favorite quote is him saying "Me runny nose is froze!" 😂😂😂

Wow looks great for a figure from 1895.
Still hunting for a good price on Zartan knee pads. I HATE not having them..

Got this guy complete for 9 bucks..pristine condition complete...haha didn't know that about Leno..haha
I like how they could go silly or scary with them. Nice to have flexibility.
I love the opening of this one. Spot on Jay Leno. Torch is my favorite Dreadnok always has been since I was a kid.
Great review and the Jay Leno bit was another sweet intro. Torch just gives me Lemmy from Motorhead vibes. I am so stoked to have the Dreadnoks and Zartan along with the Tundermachine in my GI Joe collection.
The only Dreadnok I had as a kid and my absolute fave.

This was great! The Dreadnocks we're my favorite Cobra figures...I still have all the ones up until they made the new Zartan.
I must be old, because when I saw those Tonight Show curtains, it reminded me of Johnny Carson. Along with Ed McMahon and "Doc" Severinsen. HEY-OOOOO!!!!!!!
Wasn't Torch the one that swore in the GI Joe cartoon by saying Bollicks
Dreadnoks for life!
Great vid lots of fun!!
Jay Leno, rocking the Don Johnson look like a boss!
Chocolate Doughnuts and Grape Soda are their favorite snacks. Drinking a can of Yo Joe Cola!! Hooah!!!🍺🍺😎🎸
This is my favorite review of yours from the past year! Keep up the great work Hoodie Coco!!!

Bahahaa! Love the opening segment.

Hope you are doing well sir 👍😎
i was expecting the joker to make an entrance in that intro... also 1895?
Love torch
nice video
Buzzer was the one that couldn't read...lol
Drednoks! Woo!
Torch is member of Cobra

@@lo1bo2 Yeah I was into him when he replaced the geezer and he had a youthful edge but then he messed with Barney and I tuned out.
Blimey, Governor, what does this all mean?
What took you so long?
what about Trasher!!!!
Why did I think they came with 4 wheelers or a 3 wheeler or something……I duno 🤷🏻
I've been asking for years to see the Mauler. Maybe one day.🙏
Going to need a custom HCC788 as Jay Leno with prosthetic chin action. $$$$$
And you say light blue plastic like nah I really I thought the characters made out of glass like come on Common Sense
Torch is the only Cobra figure in the GI Joe version of the Village People.
I don't know why you sit there and tell us what the characters like we obviously see that we can see that he has Greg loves we can see that he's wearing glasses like we can see that you don't get a pointed out and say it it's obvious
where's his bass? how's he supposed to play cold slither goddamit?
Alternate universe Lemmy for sure.
Yeah, you made a typo on here don’t you mean 1985, and you typed in 1895 instead💁🏻♂️.
Wow, Jay Leno is not funny on more levels than I realized.
