I buy my shirts at Walmart. When I heard they were coming to Denver, only 650 miles away, I dropped $650 on a plane ticket. These guys on the top of my Bucket List. In concert, they just blew the room up in that Juke Joint, Globe Hall. Best one and a half hours I've had in a damn long time! The Rev is a maestro of the stringed instrument- those six guitars and the dobro sounded like they were living creations. Breezy played the washboard and the bass drum with one hand to each. She caught fire! Literally! The drummer's timing and rhythm was awe inspiring. I only drink diet Coke (this Daddy don't get drunk again), but I have rarely been so high.
I saw these guys open up for Flogging Molly about 4 years ago. They blew me away. Funniest part was after Rev. Peyton was standing on top of his merch table with a megaphone giving stuff away.
Breezy is pumping in the energy, reverend is playing seriously playing awesome good licks. and the drummer is pounding a 5er!! fucking golden. best real musical fun in a long time. bless you Big Damn Band.
We were fortunate enough to see these guys live at Numerica in Wenatchee. They were awesome and we had great seats, can't wait to see them again! They are great musicians and very humble, we had a great time!
This band makes me smile, makes me happy and can't hep but bopping...love these guys and their energy and their DOWN HOMENESS....just love them. So much yummy sound out of one steel guitar, drums and a washboard. Incredible.
They need alot more recognition. Rev. Is a mindblowing musician, Breezy is killing it on washboard. And a drummer with amazing time. This is real music by real people.
I saw this amazing band many years ago at Snowbird ski resort after a Little Feat concert. Hands down it was the best night of music, dancing, and partying I’ve ever experienced! You can’t sit still when this band is playing!
These are my people. Maybe not the type you bring to FINE DINING, but these are the friends who would do anything for you, at any time. I love down home people. They may be from a little town, but they have the BIGGEST HEARTS. Long live Charlestown, West Virginia.
I was introduced to this band by seeing them open for Flogging Molly, of all bands. I took a friend with me, and he said between the Big Damn Band, the Cherry Coke$ (a band that plays traditional Irish music, but they're all _Japanese_ ) and Flogging Molly themselves, it was one of the best shows he's ever been to. And this is a guy that's seen hundreds of music acts for one reason or another.
The only thing that was more enjoyable than listening to these people was talking to them after the show. Great folks. The story he told about the 1930 National was priceless.
The 1st time I saw these guys was in Broad Ripple Indiana with Coco Taylor, John Mayhall, and Gene Deer, and the Big Damn Band stole the show. Have seen them many times since and it is always a great time.
Green 17 Tour of 2008. I was there in Dallas. Never heard of them then and I'm pretty sure neither had anybody else there. Crowd went from apathetic from the first opening band to yellin', dancin', hootin' 'n hollerin' in just a song or 2 from Rev Peyton and his Big Damn Band. I was amazed, not even my usual music taste, but I can't remember a concert I had more fun (well maybe PUSA, but they're my favorite band...). The energy of their performance and the crowd...unforgettable.
This has been my morning coffee for the last month. I'll wake, shower, crack open a beer and jam this as loud as it'll go. What a way to start the day. There is so much energy in this song!!!!!!
Man !, I'm so glad I came across Reverend Payton and yalls Big Damn Band. Y'all put out some of the most Bodacious real good feel good tunage I've listened to in quite some time. Keep em coming folks !!
My mother told me to go to the dam man and get some dam water, but the dam man said no, so I told the dam man to keep his dam water. Going through the Reverend Peyton albums is a gold rush. A cohesive style with a signature dobro sound that continues to delight song after song. Where did these amazing people come from???
Well i just heard thes folks on satalite radio today...and now, I think I know what a junkie must feel like needing a fix. I have been looking all over RUclips for more of their music. Had to post, thanks for the this video!
every so often i come back to this video because the barn this was filmed in was *right* next to my childhood home. i even know the name of the donkey in this video. her name was leslie. i must have only been like nine or ten years old when this was filmed though, and i didn't even know this happened until maybe a year later. just one of the many crazy stories one accumulates from living in this neck of the woods.
I saw them when they opened for ZZ Top in GA. Great music and a lot of talent. Such a refreshing break from most modern corporate songs with auto-tune voices.
Hell, yes, this is the RIGHT MOST HIGH REV, Pey-ton, but damm, how've ye dun hayrd ev'y guitarist in the world evers? fer instance: ruclips.net/video/64T6ugyWXAA/видео.html
Rabo Karabekian There are a ton of best guitar players, and yes Fred was one of them. Just like BB King, Bo Diddley, but as of this moment, PEYTON is by far the BEST I'VE EVER SEEN OR HEARD. And that's saying a lot since I'm an old man...
Saw these guys years ago in California. Actually the place to too lame to appreciate them. I sure did. Great to see they are still making music and kicking butt.
Damn straight on The Dead South! They had me when they started singing about Hell's good company! Hope they keep the band and the sound together. Go, you Canuck Cowboys! Texpatriate Marooned in Seattle

Saw them live yesterday and what a show! This is really one of those bands that are great to listen to at home but absolutely amazing live! If you have the opportunity to see them live, do it! You won't regret it.
I only briefly heard these guys on Shameless (Something for Nothing plays for about 20 seconds in one scene), and I'm so glad I did. Been listening to all their stuff for days and days now. This is some dancin' music here!
i think you have to have soul to get it, you should look for some. you are missing out... i can't sit still listening to these guy. Pure clean fun, heartfelt music. LOVE and i'm not much of a bluegrassy country bumpkin, unless its the old stuff. But my oh my! these guys have sauce. Awesome Sauce right in the face...

Saw these guys open recently for Death South. Decent group for sure
I want these guys to be popular. I think it would be awesome to be able to turn on the radio and hear this kind of music.
These folks are the physical epitomy of music. They speak to me...damn I love them.

For a three piece band, the good Reverend certainly has a big fat sound. Damn good music!
