Lmao some 18 year old heard this in 1917 and was like *”Alright, hold my beer”*
She Nailed it! I'm not even American and this gave me the chills
Music transcends all Nationalities...
That's us for you.
Yeah its just a good song
That's the point, it should give you the chills that we're gonna come over
To I ain't getting the chills it may just be me but I like the old one better
Her voice really gives me early 1900 vibes. Amazing job!
This would give you major 1900s vibes ruclips.net/video/B6hRDS3LvQQ/видео.html (ww1 over there on a radio)
@Milk Duds on Blitz I think he was saying that she is singing it in a style that is similar to old time singers. He knows when the song is from.
Didn't notice that myself but having read this made the song more enjoyable
Exactly.
Cohan was a master of his craft. I cannot overstate how talented that man was.
this gal knocked it out the ball park she needs to do more like her style very well done
Who is she she was awesome
@@allennagata5642 and she's also a Texan! OooRah!
She is stunning, amazing vocals, terrific performance from the USMC Band, much respect from the Russia

@@slesorsemeni4128 I mean, your "democracy" in Russia isn't truly democratic, it's an oligarchy, unlike the Western Democracy, I respect Russians, I just feel bad for y'all's lack of true freedom.
@@slesorsemeni4128 So you would rather have your every action dictated by one person who controls many more people? The reason democracy exists is because people didn't want this! The leaders of the nations didn't give their citizens freedom, the citizens made their own freedom! Have a good day

Remember that even though we have audio recordings of people singing this song at the time it was written, this song is over a century old now. It was written in 1917.
George M. Cohan wrote this as well as "You're a Grand Old Flag". He wrote many songs besides patriotic songs. "Mary, is a Grand Old Name" and " Only 45 minutes from Broadway" , "Give my Regards to Broadway", among many others. If you would like to hear about him, there is a movie called, "Yankee Doodle Dandy"with James Cagney as George M. Cohan. Both of these gentlemen were amazing. You don't see talent like them anymore.
Original lyrics very good.
I first heard this song while in AP DC History and would sing it every morning as inspiration. Such a beautiful song. Thank you guys for such powerful performances!
Honestly I do love the song in general
What is AP DC History? I’ve heard of AP World and US History, but what is DC?
This would certainly beat a bugle in the morning...
That’s America to me baby!
Not just her vocals, her expressions. So masterfully done, in my opinion. Thank you for your service in any and all capacity!
As a Turk, she sings so good, I love it.

Her version needs some can can dancers or something with it. It sounds very 1930ish
How can such a beautiful voice sound so menacing? 👌🏻
Simple

.she's a US Marine. They are ALL trained in combat.
I really love this rendition.
Thank God for the men who have sacrificed their lives fighting for the security of their people, families, friends, and homes. Thank you for the sacrifices of those who fought for what was right by God
In 1969 my high school choir traveled in Europe (mostly Germany). We performed a number of Cohan songs, but not Over There. We did not wish to annoy our German audiences. Overall it’s a great song and this performance was excellent.
Amazing. She has such a good voice and looks like she enjoys it.
She's great. Wonderful voice.
I was there in person! I loved every second of it
Great stuff. A lovely voice, and cagney would have been proud of this. Thanks from UK. Frank in Bristol.
Amazing voice ❤ keep up the amazing work 👏🏼
Love from the United Stats of America 🇺🇸
Imagine going to war as a revolution in some random nation and you start to here this song over the hills

This was excellent.
My great grandpa did his military service in ww2 by preforming song for both Roosevelt and Truman, also recording songs to send to the troops.

She looks like she is enjoying it too much, God bless America and its allies.
Absolute Ripper! In Aussie language, that means BRILLIANT!
Now that is good song.
You guys sound great!
Here in Brazil, I liked this video and music.
Not only can she sang magnificently she’s cute as hell to
Good redition Cohan would be proud ! Good job Marine semper Fi! GOD BLESS YOU AND THE MARINES ARMY NAVY AIR FORCE COAST GUARD ALL SERVING WHERE EVER THEY MAY NEEDED
beautiful song, beautiful voice
She changes the meaning of the word "tanks". She says: "from the towns TO the tanks". As if to mean a tank as an armored vehicle. Citizens becoming soldiers who serve in the tank corps.
Now, listen to the lyrics in the Cagney movie. He sings: "from the towns AND the tanks". Elsewhere in the movie, he speaks of his family performing in "tank towns".
This is some obscure OLD reference, which is Not made clear. Although, I suspect it refers to a water tower used to refill steam engines. As seen in many movies.
Presumably these water tanks were every so many miles along rail-road routes. Being built and thus available, in every little village and hamlet. Consider the "context" of Cagney / Cohan speaking the phrase "tank towns". It seems to indicate he is talking about tiny, rural, obscure, virtually insignificant little bergs.
"Sticks Nix Hicks Pics."
though this song is over 100 years old, it aint forgotten yet thankfully
great video
She was wonderful 👍👍
You did George M proud! Fabolous Job!
Amazing 👏🙀
I’m only 9 years old and I think this is awesome I learned this in studies weekly and I’ve been listening to this for a long time almost know the whole song ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Outstanding !
Im not an American, but I solute you all. You are good people and a force for good in this world. God bless America and God bless her brave defenders of democracy!
I really like her voice. She nails the older school singing.

Imagine hearing this song while you hear the screams of the just-dead and wounded man in battle... A scene to remember...
Picture yourself assaulting German fixed positions and trenches in belleau wood right after the French told your commanding officer that your men should retreat, your CO responds: “retreat? Hell! We just got here” and later hear the inmortal phrase of your fellow marine as he fix his bayonet “c’mon you sons of b@/#+* do you want to live forever?” Yes a scene to remember in the logs of history
happy veterans day
Merci pour cette chanson de patriotisme
Nice voice. First time I've heard the second verse of that song.
I don't get why the lyrics are changed to "we'll be all over"...
Their are 2 different versions
It's a good song
Eminem has been pretty quiet after the US marines dropped this
They knew the USMC had arrived when this song was popular. The British and the French wanted to pull back and the response from the Marine general was: Withdraw? Hell, we just got here.
Wow
George M. Cohan
My first knowledge of this song was it being used to sell car insurance in the UK, but it's kind of catchy with the actual lyrics
Congratulations to all the winners in the year of 2022 election primary race
This song is a great contrast to "I Ain't Marching Anymore"
I'm on it
the best nothing more
She's good.
She's insane
Awesome
He’ll let loose brought me here. She is a beautiful singer
Nice I love it
In regard to the numerous embarrassing sexist comments about the appropriateness of a woman singing this song: 1) the first recording of the song was by a woman as was (mostly) the popular version in the Cagney movie Yankee Doodle Dandy, 2) this version is an entertainment by a singer with a great voice and presence in a great arrangement not a war cry, 3) the woman is a Gunnery Sargent in the Marine Corps and would have completed military basic training in a prior position in the Army and therefore would qualify for the basic military classification as a rifleman which certainly would render her appropriate to sing patriotic songs in my book. Stunning ignorance by those negative commenters.
🥰'Nuff said.

I'm really disappointed in youtube. I got an ad for the Army. On music from the marines.
After 2010 Johnnie was joined by his equally rough and tumble sister Janie. Now how can I get the audio MP3 for this? Need it for a RUclips vid I'm making.
