At first I didn’t know how to feel after finding out the director for the first one wasn’t the same for the last two movies but they were pretty solid, first one’s still my favorite but I’m impressed by this last one and happy the director managed to keep it wholesome and didn’t linger on the sex scene, gotta keep ‘em wholesome. It’s why I love this series sm, it’s not what I expected but it’s a pretty unique plot for a high school movie and just aesthetically pleasing, realistic and surprisingly mature. So relatable too esp when it came to miscommunication and that first is such a comfort movie and still so good. I appreciate how different this series is from other teen movies overall and I love how much of real life they put into it without it coming off too ridiculous. I’ll probably always come back to the first movie since it’s my favorite considering I’ve seen it over ten times haha, but great reaction guys
I really appreciated Peter and Lara Jean's conversation about him not wanting to see his dad! My dad abandoned me when I was thirteen and I've had to justify myself so many times in not wanting to "forgive" him when he decided to come back like nothing ever happened. And then, so many times, I've felt so bad watching movies where a parent is gone and then the character says "you should mend things with your parent! You're lucky they're still alive" cause then I'd feel like the asshole and the bad guy for not being okay with going back to him. So this portrayal of it really felt like a breath of fresh air and made me feel better and seen. (And for minimal context, not that I need to justify myself -old habits die hard ig-, my dad never actually owned up to his mistakes, and always tried to turn things around by literally saying "yes I took you back to your mom's house and said 'I don't care if you come back' but you never came back to me and that hurt me" 🤡🤡)
5:10 This happened in Italy too. Lovers used to put a lock on Ponte Milvio, in Rome, but it all became too heavy and they had to remove everything to protect the bridge from the weight

The one thing I wish they had kept from the second book was the game of tag, it gave us SO much development for Jen and made me really like her character a lot more, and I'm actually glad they cut the whole beach house thing because that was excruciatingly boring to read. I know kitty is getting a spinoff series, but I completely agree that we needed more Lucas, I absolutely loved his lines about lack of options for queer kids, it was the most relatable thing in the movie for me! These movies definitely feel like instant classics to me, though, and I can't wait to show them to my kids or nieces and nephews!
@@chuuberry5778 All of the tree house kids decided to play a gam of ultimate tag like they did when they where kids, which was basically a super long game of tag that they could play all over town. Lara Jean just wants to get Jen out, but when she plans to attack she finds her crying in her car because she found out her dad was cheating and her parents are getting a divorce (at least I think it's been a while since I've read the book). It ends up being a really good bonding moment for LJ and Jen and we get to learn a lot more about Jen as a person and what she's been through. It's a running plot device throughout the book, but it was a really effective way to flesh out the side characters and their motivations, I highly recommend giving it a read, it's my favourite book in the series!
Wait, really? Kitty getting her spinoff series? That is new info for me. Can you give me more info? Did the author has confirm this? When this particulary books will release?

You guys are adorable. So glad both of you made it to Poland safely! One thing I love about these films is how they handle and discuss parental absence. The pain is always there, it doesn't ever fully go away and that's okay. It's all about how it's addressed. It feels really realistic. I like that the teens feelings are seen as valid. Yeah it's really good. PS So glad you and Maria are in Poland together! Hope all goes well.
Your commentary actually made the movie make more sense to me. Your dislike for Kris, the understanding of jen's development, your graciousness towards "Peter 's" character, being upset with Kitty and even being hard on LJfrom beginning to end. The film ended up being more enjoyable because they went against the grain.... i LOVE hearing your perspective throughout! I hope the "boys" that dont watch these films, watch your recaps. I did it and trying to keep up with my partner made me isolate myself from everything else and I ended up extremely depressed and had to drop out. When Lara Jean replied to Peter “If we’re broken up..” she likely wanted her to hear from him that they’re officially broken up because she likely wouldn’t have said “if” and wanted a sliver of hope. When Peter replied “ok” it pretty much confirms it.

I really loved these movies, I feel like it had a lot of tropes without being overly cliche. As an adult watching it as well, it’s something I’d love my kids to watch. ok, as someone from northern california, i would like to make a distinction between an hour long drive with no traffic and an “hour long” drive with Bay Area traffic. i prefer the 3-day drive to south dakota. technically, my town is an hour from the Bay Area but I will budget 4 hours to get into SF and find parking. the only time that drive is actually 1 hour is at 2am.

I've told people about you guys, people who live in the US like me, in Canada, several countries in South America, England, France, and even one in Russia. Glad Maria is safe and that you two are safe together Sam!!! I really think as a trilogy this works well and with Chris truly I think they didn't know how to expand on her properly from the first movie. If they gave us/her a moment of self reflection as to why she downplays the importance of things or is speeding through them then I think it would have illuminated her more. She is definitely a bit of a poser but maybe that's what being a teenager is all about sometimes - projecting things to try and be/appear stronger and more in control lol
About the 95% failure rate. That would probably make it a more appealing pursuit. Ever since I was a little kid, I've proven people wrong many many times, despite them being sure that they were correct. All those who are driven by challenge always rise up. That's why whenever I encounter anyone from this generation of pleading children, I make it a point to make their words and actions public, so maybe they'll be humiliated into at least trying to be productive.
I love how some of this is the explanation of American high school culture. For instance graduation yes you have to sit there while they call all 2 to 300 hundred students. The total number for my graduating class was 1079 students, but for obvious reasons most of the students decided to skip graduation. But there is something magical about moving the tassel, throwing your hat in the air and celebrating for like 30 seconds.
My public high school had us in school uniform “passing through” an 800+yo marble arch (my HS is super super old -894 years old) but university we had a graduation ceremony like that at a theatre. It went fast and I tried my best not to trip rushing across the stage. The Grad gowns were super super heavy and itchy. We threw our caps in the air for pics only. It was cheesy but fun.
I haven't seen the video yet, since I'm on a 20 hour hospital shift 🙃 but I'm glad to know you all are doing well (based on other comments) Also, I'm sure I'll love this video 💖☺️☺️☺️

I disagree with some of the things you said about the best friend. Growing up, I was really shy and I liked to have a friend who pushed me to do things outside of my comfort zone. The fact that she's never truly jugging Lara Jean and is actually supportive doesn't mean she can't propose alternatives and push Lara Jean to be more out going. It's a tricky balance to achieve without having her appear too patronizing. I do agree that the character is a little too cliché in the "alternative cool girl" trope, though :) PS: really glad to hear you and your girlfriend are safe! Lots of love and support ❤
I'm so glad you and Maria are doing well! That's great news! I love this series, both the books and movies. I'm not bothered that the movies are different, because they kept the essence of all the characters the same, and it was still pretty well written. I definitely recommend reading the books, too.
Big agreement on these movies!! Some of the best characters in rom coms - all of them felt like real, genuinely good people who made understandable mistakes and grew from them. There was never a moment where you really wondered why they put up with each other or why they ended up together.
So glad you and Maria were safely reunited Sam! For the movie, the one thing I was upset they changed between the books and movies is the city it’s set in. Moving the main cities from Charlottesville, Virginia and Chapel Hill, North Carolina to San Francisco and NYC. I understand why they didn’t but Im still mad about it
I hate that they cut out Margot's love interest, the South Asian guy standing with her at the wedding at 59:27 was her boyfriend from Scotland in the books. But they cut all his scenes in the movie and you only briefly see him at the wedding.
I mean, this movie is quite great and I do appreciate Peter a lot as a character. But having Sam and Maria together in the begining made me only focus on that (not that I'm complaining at all). You guys are so cute. And I am really happy Maria is okay, and she's safe, and that you two are together. Thank God for Poland and amazing loving people. It truly frustrates me that Lara Jean never toured the schools in California, as someone who lives here, Berkeley is such a great school and in the middle of the city as well. It's so fun around the Bay Area!
Yeah, I feel that haha. Just a few short visits to be sure of how she feels would have been good, but I suppose they only had so much time to work with - Sam

(And for minimal context, not that I need to justify myself -old habits die hard ig-, my dad never actually owned up to his mistakes, and always tried to turn things around by literally saying "yes I took you back to your mom's house and said 'I don't care if you come back' but you never came back to me and that hurt me" 🤡🤡)
I feel like they would hate the kissing booth… which is why I want them to react to it💀💀
They should react to After 👀
5:10 This happened in Italy too. Lovers used to put a lock on Ponte Milvio, in Rome, but it all became too heavy and they had to remove everything to protect the bridge from the weight
That makes me so sad , all the people who thought it would be there forever. 🥲
@@CallMeSkinny it is sad, it's true. But they collected all locks and put them in a public art gallery so people can still see them (but of course you can't place a new one)
@@claudiacuilbheir1182 aww I’m happy they are displayed! That makes me feel better. I’m happy the tradition is happening all around the world ! Thank you for letting me know this 🙏
@@CallMeSkinny you're welcome 🤗
The one thing I wish they had kept from the second book was the game of tag, it gave us SO much development for Jen and made me really like her character a lot more, and I'm actually glad they cut the whole beach house thing because that was excruciatingly boring to read. I know kitty is getting a spinoff series, but I completely agree that we needed more Lucas, I absolutely loved his lines about lack of options for queer kids, it was the most relatable thing in the movie for me! These movies definitely feel like instant classics to me, though, and I can't wait to show them to my kids or nieces and nephews!
I haven't read the books, can you tell me more about the game of tag scene? What was it about
@@chuuberry5778 All of the tree house kids decided to play a gam of ultimate tag like they did when they where kids, which was basically a super long game of tag that they could play all over town.
@@ivannurdiansyah9899 I meant on netflix, people liked the actress so much she's supposedly getting her own show. called "XO, Kitty". They've been confirmed for one season, but they don't have an official release date yet, and I don't know if they've started filming or not.
You guys are adorable. So glad both of you made it to Poland safely! The last two years really turned me to studying Stoicism, so I'll leave this quote in hopes it helps you or any others.
“You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”- Marcus Aurelius
Thank you so much!
Though I never intentionally studied stoicism, I was taught all these same beliefs by some fantastic mentors in my time and they have proven extremely beneficial 😊- Sam
Really happy that you’re both safe, Sam & Maria! Stay safe you guys. Even you, Stef!
Thank you so much! We're all doing our best 😊 - Sam
The peter and dad moment always make me cry, a feeling almost all people without a dad present feel, some cop better than others but still a they a once have the same feeling
The older I get the more I appriciate emotionally mature characters in movies, I also appriciate how you guys have deep conversations about what's going on in the movie. It's nice to not only be presented with your personalities during reactions but also thought provoking takes and actual conversation about deep topics
I think “meet cute” is in the eye of the beholder. I met my partner while trying to choke him out in a jiu jitsu class 🤷♀️😂
Girl what? 😂😂😂
yeah i met my partner by sitting in their class seat by accident and they debated yelling at me for it me for it 😅
I felt bad for Peter, she said “I choose you” when talking about his dad leaving him, but then chose NYU 🤣😔
Peoples future its something bigger than romantic relationships, wich still can workout
I think she chose him and herself too ❤️
@@LudmilaRamirez7 ok
Our world will be better. ❤
Thanks for the love, bud! It really means a lot that you appreciate our perspectives so much 😄 - Stef
I like to think that Peter is a himbo : heart of gold, dumb of ass, and says thank you to the bus drivers 😌
15:00 I can attest that long distance into your first year of college is not a good idea. I did it and trying to keep up with my partner made me isolate myself from everything else and I ended up extremely depressed and had to drop out. One of the few things in my life I wish I could've gone back and changed.
When Lara Jean replied to Peter “If we’re broken up..” she likely wanted her to hear from him that they’re officially broken up because she likely wouldn’t have said “if” and wanted a sliver of hope. When Peter replied “ok” it pretty much confirms it.
So glad you were able to reunite with Maria!
Thank you so much! 😊 - Sam
Guys, thank you so much!
I am from Ukraine and when I was in bomb shelters under fire I watched your videos. At least something could support me at that moment, thank you for your rays of hope and kindness 💙💛

You're welcome! I'm so glad we could bring you some comfort in this ridiculously difficult time. Does that mean you're out of the bomb shelters and somewhere safer now? - Sam
I hope you are and stay safe!

Appreciated yall’s reaction to this movie. Despite the first one still being my ultimate favorite you guys made me appreciate this one more so this is definitely going int be favorites😁
The fact that you guys are the first movie reactors I've seen that truly like both this movie all the way through and the couple 😂.....................it's so weird to me, but oddly refreshing.
You guys are amazing for seeing everything sweet in these movies while also having real discussions about it. Thanks so much for your reactions. You always make me smile, and I wish you well in the future.
I wasnt expecting to love this trilogy as much as I did. It was cute, messy but mature. It's nice to see a movie doing things differently, nice to just see a cute couple going through things and coming together, it was such a nice display of love and had so many healthy messages.
I really loved these movies, I feel like it had a lot of tropes without being overly cliche. As an adult watching it as well, it’s something I’d love my kids to watch. I also enjoy seeing Asian/mixed Asian people as main characters and not being a complete stereotype. Also secretly love how her first name is so close to mine 🤣
12:38 maybe her dad watches those train documentaries of The Ghan or whatever of just the camera on the tracks as it goes from one end of Aus to another? I saw a bit of it once and it's kinda interesting to see the scenery change at double time, but the slowed down or real-time version can be a little like watching paint dry...
Fun fact: Peter's dad is Elliot from ET (He's also in Mike Flanagan's horror series The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass. They're not movies, but I highly recommend them if you're ever interested in checking those out!).
I used to watch movies with my friends and it was always the highlight of every week. A year ago I moved to a new city and I still haven't found good enough friends here that we can just hang and watch movies. Luckily I discovered yall's channel when I moved so everytime I watch your videos I get that comforting feeling of just hanging and watching a movie with my buds. Thank yall for being the best!
PS: Sam, you and Maria look adorable together ❤️
I hear ya. Finding the right people can be tough. Never compromise on the kind of people you want in your life and things will improve 👌
Thank you so much! We’re very happy now 😊 - Sam
Just found you guys. Have been binging you all day love your takes and friendship and commentary! ❤❤
Ngl, as a young adult (22), I love this channel's life advice. I sometimes feel hopeless because life is really hard, but I always get reminded that it's okay when I watch your videos. I very much appreciate it. All we can do is try, and I'll probably get better at trying with more experience doing it
I'm so happy to hear you can get that out of our videos ☺️ A really good piece of advice my psych gave me was that trying is a skill and takes practice like any other. Sounds like you've realised that yourself so you're definitely wiser than I was at your age haha 😄 - Stef
"Drive an hour here and you're not even out of Sydney yet." SAME! Drive an hour here and you're not out of Phoenix (Arizona) yet.
Yeah, just like Australia, in the US an hour drive is nothing. I went to college 4 hours from home, and a few weeks into the semester I realized I forgot something I needed... so I drove home and got it and drove back after an early class. I was back for dinner. lol.
im not sure if I will ever forgive you for trashing on that AMAZING "The Greeting Committee" cameo I literally screamed when they showed up when I watched this! all jokes aside they really are a great band I really think you guys would love them. and Sam I'm so happy everything worked out okay with Maria, I’m so relieved that she's okay.
Happy reunion, Sam and Maria!
Now as for the quality content: I love that you guys talked about creating a character (Peter) who isn’t perfect but can serve as inspiration to do better. It’s a mix of choice and circumstances… or maybe I’m reading into it too much. Oh well ☺️
0:38 Maria is literally stunning glad yall are safe.
I'm Polish and really glad that our country is helping so many wonderful people. Really happy that you're together again!!!
Thanks so much! Poland has been great to us so far 😊 - Sam
Seeing the girls trying to get the couch on the train made me realize that WB could get w/ them to do a female-led 'Friends' reboot.
I'm so happy that you're doing relatively okay. It's really heart warming to see Maria and Sam together. Thank you for keeping us updated, and please stay safe. 💛💛💛
I just discovered you guys and I already love you. I just watched all 3 of your “To All The Boys” videos and the way you commentate is so refreshing compared to a lot of other people who react in a huge way to get a laugh or to seem relatable. It’s kinda beautiful how you speak and acknowledge what the character might be going through and why they’re acting a certain way. I’m so excited to watch your other videos now!
Ahh so glad to see an update, I got nervous with your guys notifications so I’m glad its working out! Also grateful you guys finished this trilogy, it’s been so nice hearing it from a male perspective and not a toxic one 😅 Can’t wait to see future uploads
I'm so glad you are reunited with Maria and that she's safe.
That cut to Maria and Sam brought a few tears to my eyes 💜💜💜
I gave my bridesmaids a swatch and said do you as long as it's within the realm of the color.
Man I am so late to this video (and your channel 😂) but I just HAD to comment how much I loved your reaction to this series! Two things: I’m so happy that you were not “team Ambrose” in the second movie, I actually never got the hate towards Peter… and then, I appreciate so much your attitude towards Peter and Jen and the character acts we saw… I’m so happy I ended up here, better late than never ❤
Thank you so much! We loved this series 😊 - Sam
luckily Kitty is getting her own movie set in korea! They are filming now so hopefully by christmas 2023 we will have it! ❤️ btw love the reaction! and so happy you got too Poland safely❤️
1:04:43 OH MY GOSH I thought you said 'They took us to a church, God handed out certificates, but we were just in our school uniform' AND NEITHER OF YOU REACTED TO THAT BEING SAID SO CASUALLY so I had to replay it a bunch to realise you said 'got handed our certificates' I'm crying with laughter right now

Hi guys. What kept me coming back to your reaction videos has always been the thoughtful commentary. It was great to watch you guys finish out this series. I look forward to the next video. Take care.
Also love that he finally wrote her a love letter in his own words! Great content as always. thank you!
barely into the reaction, but so glad to see y’all safe and in good spirits
so happy to hear you and Maria are reunited
I really love these movies. Im tired of drama and toxic relationships I keep seeing I want sth fluffy and cute sometimes
ok, as someone from northern california, i would like to make a distinction between an hour long drive with no traffic and an “hour long” drive with Bay Area traffic. i prefer the 3-day drive to south dakota. technically, my town is an hour from the Bay Area but I will budget 4 hours to get into SF and find parking. the only time that drive is actually 1 hour is at 2am.
Guys, you don't just do your best, you do THE best. Just like you guys. As far as RUclips channels go, you guys are top notch. I've told people about you guys, people who live in the US like me, in Canada, several countries in South America, England, France, and even one in Russia. About doing your best, I've learned that doing your best causes you to settle. I've never done that, so when I do my best and there are still those who do it better, it's not good enough, so I better myself, improve what I do, and am in a constant state of growth.
So glad Maria is ok and you guys are making content
they're absolutely right about Lucas' character
I’m so relieved she made it to Poland! I’ve been thinking of you guys whenever I’ve seen news about Ukraine.
Sam glad you are reunited with your love sorry I couldn’t contribute finically to your cause. I’m glad you are together she is safe and her family I hope as well. When I first heard your news it was devastating. I’m glad it has a happy ending though there is still a big journey ahead. Thanks for the updates ! Glad you are together again.
Goddamit I'm trying not to cry over my breakfast just seeing you two finally together! So so happy for you guys, also can't wait to see this video 💛
17:54 the shadiness of the editor tho 😂
That one was Stef's work ✌️ - Sam
I love how some of this is the explanation of American high school culture. For instance graduation yes you have to sit there while they call all 2 to 300 hundred students. The total number for my graduating class was 1079 students, but for obvious reasons most of the students decided to skip graduation. But there is something magical about moving the tassel, throwing your hat in the air and celebrating for like 30 seconds.
So happy for you and Maria and her family I hope this ends soon so you guys can really heal
It's good to know that everything is fine with Maria. I hope your stay in Poland is nice and you don't have any problems.
So happy to see that Sam and Maria got to be reunited, that her and her family are safe, and the support you all have received! ❤️
Damn dude, hope you rest well after your shift! Thanks so much for the support 😊 - Sam
I'm happy that you and Maria are finally together in person after all that stress and worrying and with the ungoing situation and unsure future. Thankfully your future seems to be looking a bit better now and I hope Maria and her family will stay safe as well as all the other people of Ukraine that are suffering from this war. Will keep everyone in my thoughts and sending love!
Glass that you and Maria are united in Poland, wishing you all the best. This franchise caught me off guard of how good it was with it's storytelling and characters. Netflix has plans for a Kitty spin off show that has me very intrigued. You guys do great work take care and be safe.
As a woman who went to prom and had it ruined by the guy simply assuming going to prom with a woman meant he'd get lucky, it really ruined my whole prom experience. There was zero romance lol
Oof. I'm so sorry you had to go through that bud 😔 - Stef
Sorry to hear that. I know thousands of people around the country. If you ever want to talk to new people, or just a new person, Google my name, I'm everywhere. I wanna get in touch with you now because I feel a responsibility. I have to redo your prom and make it a magical night that will fill you with joy.
So happy to see you guys made it to Poland safely! Much love from neighbouring Bulgaria 💙💛
"it is......"
"fuck you"
HAHAHAHAHHA you guys!!!!
Really happy everything went alright and Maria is ok!! Best wishes to you guys!
Also, great video as always!
I do agree that the character is a little too cliché in the "alternative cool girl" trope, though :)
PS: really glad to hear you and your girlfriend are safe!
I hope everything works out great for you guys, and if there's anything we can do to help, please let us know.
I love that they chose a song thats actually really popular and a classic for the intro
my heart exploded with the end part lol
As a french I can answer the lock bridge thing
It was bending the entire bridge
So they took some of the locks down
Not all of them and you're not allowed to put new ones
But people moved to an other bridge
OMG THÉ UPDATE WAS SO WHOLESOME 🌝
I literally JUST finished the second part of your commentary and was like aw I wish the they reacting to the third… then I see this!!!
Love that they added the aesthetic baking montages cause she does bake a lot in the book lol
I agree with the earlier comment of these new rom-com are flaunting a level of wealth that makes me not like rom-com like that. But when your sister's like them I can't ruin it for them.
BEST EXPLANATION OF HIS CHARACTER! Human Labradore! Love it!
So happy you and Maria are finally together. Thank god Maria and her family are safe.
