  • When we're stuck in a meeting, we usually text a savior to call us out of the room. But ever since this $599 maritime rescue device came in, we've been dreaming about zip-lining out the window.

The rocket of this line thrower is extremely dangerous. I witnessed someone accidentically firing the rocket during removal/replacement. By the good luck of fortune, noe one was hit by the rocket, but the rocket hit a 20'ft container, went direct througt the container, throurg the inside wall of the container conainer consisting of 32 mm industrial multiply strong plywood and passed ower to the other inside wall of the container and went out of the container on the other side where the wall was the same, 32 mm industrial multiply strong plywood and out through the steel wall. The hole was about the same size as a golf ball. Really shocked to see the firepower of this line thrower rocket.

I don't believe for an instant it went through two walls of a steel shipping container.

@@fredyellowsnow7492it's a solid fuel rocket built to heave a 4mm line 300 meters down range. The total device weighs 4.2kg - deduct maybe a kilo for the container and you have a rocket hauling 3.2kg. That's nothing to scoff at.

It will seek the wind when launched, so BE CAREFUL . . . know wind direction and strength -- use it to advantage to reach target.

Yeah, I wish I had that kind of money to play with. At over $600 per shot, this video was pretty expensive to make.
I'm guessing they may have used an expired rocket, it would have made it much cheaper, and the rocket would no longer be considered reliable enough for rescue use anymore, although it still probably works just fine.
