I'm not Vietnamese but I was born and raised in San Jose. 408 gotta represent! I don't live there anymore but I still crave Vietnamese food. Damn I even go out of my way here in the Netherlands to find ingredients just to make my own pho, bahn mi and spring rolls. Vietnamese food is the shit!
Viet food's just so dynamic. It has balance in heavyness and lightness, saltiness and sweetness. So good. When people think Viet food all they think is Pho but I'm like yooOOo you've yet to try the Bun Rieu...Banh Xeo...nem nuong. I could go on. San Jo is where it's at.
I haven't been home in 11 months, but I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Seeing this was immensely touching - I knew almost all of the locations and even the streets in the video. Really got me homesick and I can't wait until I fly back.
I love that y’all talked to the viet folks who owned all different kinds of restaurants. AND that you paired up with mofad! if y’all ever need someone to host a show on viet food in the bay area - give me a shout. I am READY 😋
Hey eater can you do some episodes on New Jersey cuisine or any dining on a dime episodes featuring Lucas. I've been to so many bakeries in New Jersey and the amount of ethnic food is spectacular.
Hi, I am trying to make a quick story about San Jose area in the video I make to introduce my house in San Jose. I am hoping to use some of your clip to add on my video as a way of introducing tourist that visit my house to know a little of "Little Saigon in San Jose". Please let me know your requirement beside crediting your work, I will try my best to comply. Thank you for your time!
Largest Vietnamese population in California outside of Orange County westminster, garden grove & fountain valley. Bolsa street. I would say viet foods in San Jose is better than the one from Orange County.

As Pho is taken from the Vietnamese written language, why did the translator not write it PHA the way it s pronounced rather than PHO which is always mispronounced. Time for it to be spelled PHA!
Vietnamese official written language uses alphabet characters with a little twist... In Vietnam, we write "Phở", so the way people around the world address it as "Pho" is completely fine...

Pho is not pronounced by "PHA". It is rather pronounced "Fu-h" This is coming from a Vietnamese person and I grew up with eating Pho.
