@libertytennessee3709 I couldn't agree more that Dwight sounds best singing mountain music, but he was never "pop" country. The pop country trend is what swept in and stopped great music like Dwight Yoakam's, Keith Whitley's or Daryle Singletary's from getting airplay on today's country radio.
If you are a fan of this you should track down Dwight's version of Mr. Jimmy Martin's "Sunny Side fo the Mountain" Its on youtube somewhere, Its a live version
Love bluegrass. I hope I don't offend anyone, but I think there's a big difference between this music and country music.

More acoustic, less is better. Dwight is one of my favorite singer songwriters. His style of guitar playing is unique and I love it.
