We stayed there Feb 2017. We were very impressed with the campground and was lucky to get a spot along the river. Your video would have been very helpful as first time visitors to the campground. Anybody visiting for the first time, do yourself a favor and take note to the information provided. We are hoping to stay again about the same time next year. Thank you for taking the time to produce this video.
No, we haven't had the pleasure...yet ;-) We will be traveling from Texas on I-10 into FL. Last year we stopped at a State Park in Niceville. We attempted to get on at Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field but no luck. Blue Angel Rec Area might be in the cards this round, I'll have to check it out. In the meantime, since I subscribed to your channel, I will look forward to a review video on the facility ;-) Keep up the good work and safe travels!
VA disabled Vets with documented service connected disabilities can stay there also. These Vets would have to likely have either a retirement military ID or a Military ID for utilizing MWR areas on military bases which would include RV campsites, as long as they a service connected disabled.
That’s a tough one! They both have pros and cons. MacDill is bigger & busy. Patrick is quiet. I prefer Patrick for that reason, but a lot of folks like MacDill best.
I loved your review! It was very informative. I look forward to visiting. I would like to know more about their MWR programs. Do they offer charter fishing trips, shows, tours ect.? I look forward to your future videos. One suggestion for your videos would be a new microphone to cut down on wind and better sound quality, but all and all a great video.
Thanks for watching! We have a new mic now so you’ll find the sound quality has improved. Patrick has a great Outdoor Rec with lots of tours and discount tickets. They have an updated website.
hi did you have to be military active inactive or connected in any way to the military. I emailed and called and was told 2 canadian adults no kids no pets, could stay one month during April 2023 no mention of military connection , and they are half empty, yet wont take us, so says john.
Thanks for a great tour and video of Patrick. Keep them coming.
I'm glad you liked it! We just evacuated to Moody AFB's FamCamp, so we'll do a review of that soon.
thank you, very informative no one else is that good
Thanks! That’s so nice you you to say.

Have you been to the Blue Angel Recreation Area in Pensacola? We're headed there next month.

Was their in April 2023.
Waterfront sites are now $40.00 per night.
Great review! I grew up in Merritt Island and love the beaches between Cocoa Beach and Patrick. Thanks!
We loved our stay at Patrick and will definitely go back one day.

Thank you, we really enjoyed our visit!
Thank you for the video. Very informative and well presented.
Glad you liked it and we hope you get a chance to visit Patrick!
Very cool, lots of good info! Have a blessed day --Stacy 😍❤
Thanks for watching! It is a terrific spot!
Good info about the gates. We OFTEN find ourselves being directed to former gates, closed gates, after hour closings and more.
AWAY WE GO 2.OH! Yes, it is so annoying after a day of travel to be so close to your destination, but not be able to get in!
When arriving at most facilities with an RV you will almost always wind up using the commercial gate. Great video. Good job.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Jason!
Oh good! Long term stays.

Thanks for the info! Great video!
Thanks! We're heading back to MacDill in a few weeks, but won't make it to Patrick this trip.
Awesome video, now I can't decide between Patrick or McDill.

You made a cool video also is this campsite is only for people who's in the military or have served in the military ?
Yes, the military campgrounds are typically only for active or retired military and sometimes government civilians.
Can a non-military citizen stay here?
No, this campground is for military and DoD civilians. There are some great civilian campgrounds nearby.

Yes, you have to be active, retired, or disabled military. Canadian military does also qualify for some U.S. base campgrounds.
