I'm impressed at the number of sites. We've driven past MacDill but had no idea this was even there. Can't beat those prices. Winter in Fl is definitely better than winter in PA. Nice beach. We're going to have to check to see if we're eligible. My husband was a Marine.
Can you explain the reservation process for disabled vets wanting to stay? Is it costly or free? Im moving tp Florida in my RV for my sons eye care. Was hoping to be able to stay here for a while@BikesBoatsBivouacs
I was stationed there 1977 to 1979, 1928 com grp, Air Traffic Control. Is there anyway someone that did not serve 20+ but can still stay there? Thank you for any response. Hank Carter
@@BikesBoatsBivouacs I only have 5 years AF and 6 years as GS-11 (FAA ATC) I sure would like to visit the base again before I die. Marital problems caused me to leave the area. I sure would like to see that all veterans with Honorable Discharge could have access to these type facilities. Thank you for your reply.

I believe you can stay there with 15 years and certain situations. Might be worth checking into just to know. Thanks for watching.
