  • Electrolysis of salt solution (salt dissolved in water) produces Hydrogen gas at the cathode and the Chlorine gas at the anode. This simple experiment can be easily performed at home to demonstrate the students, like GCSE, how it actually works and they can see both the gases being generated at the respective electrodes.     Chlorine gas is green but I dont see any green colour bubbles at either of the electrode
