That’s a beautiful car in black. Why someone would want to wrap it and decrease the value is beyond me. I’ve seen this ad in Australia of a guy trying to sell his wrapped Boxster 981 for 2 years now at the same price as other unwrapped 981s. No wonder it’s been on the market 2 years now no one wants it
I'm selling my pristine 458 Spider that I had wrapped. I would hope the average 458 owner would not wrap a POS, but now you have me concerned about my sale.
If i wrapped a car, I would take detailed pictures as it was being put on so if it was sold, so I could show all process. Anyone who doesnt have pics is hiding something.
If for some reason I bought a wrapped car, like I can’t find the same car without a wrap, I would factor in that it probably needs some amount of repainting. I have a prejudice that wrapping a car is a telltale sign of moral turpitude on the part of the previous owner and proceed accordingly.
Someone treated that 911 like a Civic. Disgusting both inside and out. My guess is the new engine is because the previous owner thought oil was a lifetime fluid.
@@normalguysupercar Very true he was maybe duped also with a car that looked good wrapped. I do feel like a small percentage of the world wraps cars just to change it up and have a different color and a large percentage of the world is covering stuff up, it is like the vinyl siding of the car world.
I'd be willing to bet that the way and reason why the car was wrapped is a direct reflection of how poorly the car was maintained mechanically.
Eh possibly.

Yup! Exactly
I would never have the patience to deal with people misrepresenting cars.
Thanks that you guys can .
It's all part of the game. Trust no one.
The problem with wrapped cars is most the trim pieces need to be removed. Trim pieces can be broken and not replaced or even glued back together.
That's another issue for sure
I never even consider wrapped cars. Usually they are all trash maintained and issues
Yup
That car is a POS
Actually it's not. It just needs a little love.

Honestly it's going to make it much much harder to sell.
Take the wrap off
Have the wrap removed. Unless you're in the UAE or China and it is wrapped gloss gold, few would want it wrapped.
Thanks for the advice. I'm having the wrap removed.
Ppf> wrap every time and like 2% of Ferrari owners want theirs wrapped
I would have been interested if not for the automatic trans. GLWS
Thanks!
Cool Grocery Getter 🛒 👍😎
Fun too
A little something for the new cow paint scheme
LOL it is somewhat cow-like. Thank you!
So are you ok with cars that have whole car PPF?
Yes
That’s a good track car.
It would be fantastic!
i will buy it as is. Is it up for sale yet?
Yes it is. But it's not painted yet
what's the return on investment on painting vs re-wrapping?
Well, nobody pays more for wraps, and sometimes they are worth more if the paint is in great shape.
how much would you sell the car as is?
$25k
Helen Keller could have seen this coming!
LOL
What's the price you're looking for?
$25k as is.
Curious if you have tried removing wrap with compressed air?
No, I've seen videos of that though...
ooh your guys first unwrapping video!
Yeah. I hate wraps. lol

Well, even if you do, the wrap can damage the paint when being removed.
@@normalguysupercar I didn't think of that. I personally would bever wrap a car myself but repaint. For the cost it doesn't make sense.

Agreed!
You keep saying “we” but the only guy I see working is you. Lol.
It's Josh and my company so we.
@@normalguysupercar Understood, but it seems you got no help unwrapping the Porsche.
Not a fan of wrapping.
Nope.
Never buy a wrapped car if it's wrapped in a color that shows bad taste like matte red
Ha!

Could be
Every time I hear that song all I see is Stewie Griffin from Family Guy doing a gymnastics routine.....
Ha!
Come on Fred, I was waitin for a “magic lube” reference. SOO disappointed ….😮
Ha!
I feel so bad for that nice 993 in the hands of the person that destroyed this car.
Well, to be fair we don't know if the last owner did all that paint stuff or bought it that way.

just an FYI it's a 997. The 993 ended production in '98, then came the 996, then these.
@@carguy7627 I do know that, I was referring to the 993 that Dan sold the person who owned this 997 and traded it in to buy the 993 that was for sale.
@@roadkillrob6116 ah, makes sense!
It came out better than I thought it would. I feel the same way about PPF. Absolutely hate it.
Yeah
Keep your day job Fred !!!
LOL yes
never heard of wrapping a car but i love mozarts turkish you played what year is that porsche
2007
Best to not remove the wrap and sell it like you bought it. Cheap
Could have but then we're just kicking the can down the road
@@normalguysupercar hahaha no doubt. You were in a tough spot. New sub like the channel!
that is one beat up 997
New engine probably due to bore score.
Is the engine actually new or was a used engine installed?
New.
This goes back to the old advice of don't buy a car with a car bra on it. Not that I've seen one of those for a long time now.
True. Those are pretty uncommon now.
Is there no misrepresentation laws in Texas especially with a trade in?
As is. Nope
“I tried so hard” Linkin Park cover playing in the background, very fitting lol 😅
Haha
The late great Ray Charles can see that is a bad idea.
LOL!
Easier to unwrap in the sun.
I'm gonna disagree on the fact that then you're sweating your balls off here in Texas.
@normalguysupercar lol. Yes that is correct. But wrap comes off easier itself.
Bummer!
Yeah.
Dan, does your advice include cars that have been PPF'd? Cheers
No PPF is good as long as it's not super old
@normalguysupercar Okay cool thanks!
DONT BUY A SHIT Wrapped car!
Or just any wrapped car but especially shit wrapped.
@@normalguysupercar guess it depends in the installer and wrap they have used, but you won’t know what unless the seller had a receipt etc
