I love your X-men collection great books
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
6.5-7.5 is where I like to be with most Silver Age books so nice job.
Definitely a nice range! 🔥🤙
Congratulations! Great books!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching!
Good haul. I think I like that Cap #100 the best. Keep it up.
Something for any Marvel fan in that submission! Cap 100 is iconic!
Love that leafs comic. Very cool🎉
I know right!? It’s really cool, excited to have it. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing your collection my friend. Some great books
Much appreciated! Thank you for watching!
Epically Outstanding. Bravo my 😎 dude.
Thanks brother! It was a really fun submission!
I do love your channel. It has brought back so many memories of my childhood. I couldn't wait to get to the comic book rack and buy the new releases. That was in the 50s and 60s. My children also collect comics. I just recently sold the entire xmen collection. I also sold my Howard the Duck collection. I think I let this go too early based on that little cameo in Guardians 3, which I did not know about. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
Thank you so much for watching Karen! Oh that X-Men collection sounds amazing! Hard to know when to let things go sometimes, there will always have been a better time to sell.
Hey, great video! Lots of big books there. Congrats on the 4.5 for X-Men 12. Nothing to sneeze at for that book. Very cool.
Thanks for watching! Yeah I’m super pumped about the Xmen 12, really nice grade jump.
Great unboxing. Congrats on some wicked books.
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
Great video, really enjoyed it, you have some awesome books ! 👍
Much appreciated Clive! Hope you keep tuning into the channel, more books to come!
great books and great videos.
Much appreciated Josh, thanks for watching!
Great books. You weren’t far off and had some positive surprises. The thing I give you most credit for is admitting to being a Leafs fan. That is a hard life LOL.
Dude. I’m a leafs and Cowboys fan. Hardest life there is 😂
You’re doing it right. It’s best to be tighter on grading. Helps with potential resale based off what you might pay and you’ll always be pleasantly surprised when most books likely come back higher from the graders lol
Lower expectations, higher satisfaction! I mean if I was a really seasoned grader I’d prefer to be as accurate as I could but yeah leaning a little more conservative with my grading and expectations works well for me!
Sometimes we are harder graders on our own books than we realize. You've got some fantastic books there and many grades are really good. I've got TOS #97 in a 7.5 and it looks great. Your 8.0 looks wonderful. I just got back a DD #13 with a custom label which is the same as the cover. I would have been thrilled with a 6.5 but I got an 8.0!!
As for the pedigree book, hopefully you printed the grader notes and if not, you still can. You might have some pressable defects that a C&P could help to upgrade. Thanks for posting. Best to all.
Thanks for watching! Happy you liked my books, I totally agree you can be harsher on your own books lol. Grading is usually filled with ups and downs, I’m pretty level headed and realistic about it so the disappointments don’t bring me down haha. The pedigree book was C&P’d by a reputable presser so I’m feeling it was just over graded by the seller and the original person who set the pedigree. I will checkout the notes again to double check though.
Verty nice books, Kudos to you.
Thanks brother, appreciate you watching!
Love your silver age books! I'm a fellow collector from Nova Scotia. Keep up the great content!
Thanks Kelly! Nice to connect with you!
Wow so awesome books!
Thank you! Yeah they are pretty awesome, excited to have them back!
Fun books bro, super jealous of X-men 12 & 14
Thanks brother! Yeah those two are gems for sure!
Bleeker does awesome work
100% agree!
Wonderful set of books :)
Thanks! I'm really happy with them, great to look at them everyday! Thanks for watching!
⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡awesome
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was going to mention those Submariner #1 books seem to have tan appearance...I had a couple copies years ago and don't recall having the briwning tint back then. Nice collection you are building !
Thanks for watching! Both came back white pages which is great but those Sub 1s like I said the blue can really fade off those.
nice grades, especially the x-men 12
Thanks Darren, couldn’t agree more about 12!
Great books, and don't sweat the Pedigree, it's an AWESOME book and looks great!
Thanks! That pedigree just kinda bugged me because the COA and the shop I bought it from had it graded higher. Still love having it though! Only pedigree in my collection.
Love that black DD/Doom cover!
Grats on your slabs! X-Men #28 always seems cheap to me.
Thank you! To each their own! I thinks it’s a great cover!
Your collection is amazing love the vids
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching! 🙏🤙
Great unboxing. Sometimes those lower grades can be tricky. Generally, if there are no missing pieces it should grade above a 2.0 (unless totally thrashed). I don’t know what’s up with that X-Men 39. Id be interested to take a look for myself but what did the grader notes say? Way to hit the jackpot on that X-Men 12!
Thanks brother! Overall I think it turned out pretty good. I’ll check the notes and let you know what it said on the 39.
That Daredevil 37 is 💎💎💎
Nice unboxing. Always love a good Dr. Doom cover. Sweet x-men books. I would definitely reach out to A-1 and see what they can do. You paid for a 9.0 and got a 7.5 that is a big difference in cost. Again great video. 👊🏼
Yeah the thing is I bought it last year and I just don’t feel great going back to them and asking for something back. It is what it is. Still happy to have it! Thanks for watching and glad you liked it!
Finally got to finish this video lol. Absolutely awesome books and grades my friend. I know you’re bummed about the pedigree grade but hey, it’s still awesome to have a book from a pedigree collection and the grade is still great for the age. Congrats my man, see you on the stream tonight!
Thanks for watching as always! Yeah still happy to have the good, doesn’t keep me down for long, on to the next book haha! See you on there, going to be fun!
Nice books and that’s coming from a DC fan
Learning to grade takes a lot of practice, and in my opinion is most difficult in the lower ranges. I recommend signing up for the CGC grading contests (sign up deadline for current contest is July 17). Their Official Guide to Grading Comics is also helpful for determining their grading standards. Grading is always subjective, but at least if you have an idea about their grading guidelines it can help .
I have the CGC grading guide and it’s awesome. Still reading through it and you’re right it takes a lot of practice and there a lot of information you have to really work into your memory. It’s a process! I’ll look into those cgc contests, thanks for the suggestion!
great video.
Great vid dude!
Comic Ozzi is a good guy
Yeah good guy and love to buy from him on whatnot
The X-Men 39 probably has staining somewhere, or at least something CGC considers to be staining. Had the same thing happen to me with Subby #8. Grader's notes said staining, but I wouldn't submit a book like that. Oh well, you have a great collection overall. Very nice!
Thanks, I’m pretty happy with it in the end! The ups and downs make this hobby more fun lol
With regards to your Sub-mariner cover #1, I think the term you might be looking for is "wash". I had to look up the term myself to see if it applied. I think it does. It does explain why the blue is not consistent across the cover. It wasn't meant to be.
Oh cool, never heard that term. I’ll have to look it up myself to learn more about it but it sounds like a good way to describe that aesthetic. I did know that it was deliberate when it was designed and printed, not sure that came across. It certainly has become hard to maintain the blue over time on most copies. Thanks for sharing that!
"loves his Man-Thing"....
I always sell a few books to pay for the submission. Those submissions are not cheap. Which of these books would you want to give up if any?
Definitely hard to give books up but its definitely a good way to help pay for submissions. If I had to give a few books up from this submission I'd probably sell the Tales to Astonish 91, Strange Tales 126 and FF 46 to start. Could even sell the Cap 100, but only because I eventually want one in a higher grade.
Wow those are some huge book do you resell them?
Not a big reseller, just here and there. Mostly for the PC
@@colossuscollector sick!
You might of been batter off pressing a lot of the books, especially the ones that had that spine roll The potential grade bumps might have made it worh it
Bleeker did almost all of them save 3 or 4 that I just gave a quick dry clean and press at home. The one with the big spine roll was the first Clea and there was no fixing that one completely. The others were more miss wraps than spine rolls... just said spine rolls in the video lol.
come on open open open. it been 2 minutes.
Sorry to keep you waiting 😂
Please estimate values for us beginners… hardly anyone does an$ I would def watch more.
nice video, audio a little low
Speed it up bro. Ain't got all day!
Then Fast fwd or don't watch 🤷♂ appreciate you watching though!
