For those asking about the rhythm track it is a loop from 'the shuffle' by Van mcCoy - a great track in itself, and used as theme to BBC radio4 'sport on 4'. Many British people will recognize it instantly, even if they never knew the name of the artist
also a loop of Suzie Quatro can the can , i am friends with her daughter also i'm sure this is produced by the saintetiene crew my mum used to work with the producers dad funny old world lol
I absolutely love this song. I have to correct the person that uploaded this. This isn't Sarah Cracknell on vocals. This is actually Janey Lee Grace on vocals and yes it's the same Janey Lee Grace who's now on BBC Radio 2. Is this the 7" Radio Version by any chance? If not could somebody please send me the mp3 of it? I will give you my e-mail address.
After hearing 7 ways from Totp '91 I wanted to hear more Cola boy. Very Nice dreamy tune. Miss that early 90s dance era it's was amazing. Janey Lee certainly doesn't drink Cola these days 🥤. The remix (edit) and this mixed together would make an amazing tune!
i used to have this song taped from the Hitman and Her on video, until the wife accidentally taped over it about 10 years ago... I used to have a tape full of great tracks...gone
Remember seeing him in HMV peterborough at the height of '7 ways to love', the staff bent over backwards to get him the vinyl he wanted! Cringeworthy! Lol!
I lost a dear friend last year and this song was made for him. All my ❤ jello. Miss my honeymonster ♥️♥️♥️
This is a very therapeutic song to listen to on a Sunday morning under the duvets.
It’s an odd follow up to 7 Ways to Love but I adore this. I would love both Cola Boy singles to be uploaded on Spotify.
7 ways to love is up now
I had this track and 7 Ways To Love back in the early 90s. Where does the time go 😮 loved these tunes ❤
i'm cola too

The drumming is also sampled from Suzi Quatro's "Can The Can".
Thanks for posting. Don't think I've heard this gem for around 15 years. One of my first ever singles. :)
Never heard this before, but have to say its well good.
Its driving its time machine into the future to give people nightmares 2010 style

Cola Boy was partly Saint Etienne. Andrew Naughtie from Peterborough was a member.

adam and the ants sample?
Beat is from van McCoy - The shuffle. Pitched up.
The tribal drum sound is from Suzi Quatro's "Can The Can".
Could well be from Kings of the wild frontier, yes. Or Burundi Stevenson Black.

It's Van McCoy + Suzi Quatro
