I think the speedrun gives modded minecraft a very fresh new idea that ive never seen before and id really like to see you finish it. Of course i like gameplay style too, just this speaks a bit more to me atm

I definitely like the fast pace videos to please my instant gratification needs. But I also very much enjoy the slow paced step by step videos. Especially late at night. Helps me wind down easier
The speedrun video format is unique and the main reason i enjoy watching is the speed of progression. Other creators slow style format tend to get boring after 15 episodes and theyre still in the early game

Yes these types of videos are perfect. You show us main projects that we can work on for our worlds and you don’t waste time showing us things we don’t need to know. Keep making videos like this please!

It's definitely more manageable than other videos I watch that are an hour to 3 hours long without broken up versions. Sometimes I have 3 hours to spare, most of the time I don't. That makes these shorter speed run videos much more appealing and watchable in a single sitting!
I prefer this style. Everyone else does play throughs where they ramble on needlessly. I’d make dedicated tutorials for specific mods along w/ this style.
I have the attention span of a seagull & the speedrun format is all I can digest
but- this is real nice, you're very thorough in explaining your cool tricks, hilarious cheeses, and as a fellow sophisticated backpacks enjoyer I can't wait to see your backpack chicanery escalate.

Tip for slimeballs besides slime gates:
Go to the twilight forest, find one of the big mineral mountain things, and look for one of the slime bug thing spawners. Easy to grab and as far as I can tell they don't have the same spawner limits as normal slimes.

I like both style of videos, which you kinda already do with the normal playthroughs and these 100 day videos.

Im new the atm8 so seeing what you’re doing and you explaining why is helpful. I would had never thought of using the destruction gadget or to go for allthemodium as soon as you could

Love the content man! In my opinion I think the fast pace is nice but I think for certain builds and machines you should do a little overview / tour of the device
I like that the fact that even though you go through things fast, you still briefly explain things enough so that we could do the same in our own worlds.
It's meant to be a little bit of a tutorial/how to but sometimes I forget about that part. lol

Both are great, but the relaxed style has definitely taught me some tricks that I had never thought of before, and explained some stuff that's confused me.

I definitely like these edited versions. Time is limited and you can give me a much better grasp of the process and then i can jump in and play.

I think the slowed paced videos are better because it makes it easier to understand the moss i haven't played with yet.
they both have there place if it is the first run through of a modpack than normal playthrough, if second or later run of the pack a quick speed run is very interesting and gives a new spin on things.

OMG 😂 the inventory sorting is one of my favorite things to do! Call me crazy (crazy), but it's honestly one of the only reasons I go looting those dungeons. Also question... is it normal for LUCK on your gear to give you nothing special for DAYS and then WHAM! Chest with 19 globes??? LOL

Both content is good. I miss content about atm8 on RUclips, so that type of content is kinda good to have
I like this fast pace video alot more, when I was new to modded I enjoyed getting in depth tutorials but now I like to watch these more fast past videos for tips and tricks to get the ATM star faster

I like both styles, i like the fastpaced action packed speed run format, but i also like the slow and thought out traditional style.
Also, with the Configuration tool, once drawers are linked to a controller you can right click the controller to lock/unlock all at once :)
I am torn between making story style videos vs making playthroughs. I like the challenge/story videos, but I wish I had done this one all in one video.

Yayyy this is awesome. And btw you can click data model on wither while its recharging. Small thing but saves some hassle. :)
I would like a combination of both, this exactly videos, just showing the steps to get it working (it is not necessary now as the machines are pretty simple, but it will as you get into more complex mods) loving the videos btw!

I like both speedrun and chill playlist
Kinda late now but I wanted to throw my input in here that I really appreciate this exact style of video, whatever it is. I’ve used the this series as tutorials for certain mods
When I am trying to learn how to do something, I obviously like the tutorial style videos. But I still like this format. I guess doing a combination of Speedrun style and doing separate videos on specific subjects / builds / mods is my dream world. I binge Speedruns while I work but watch and pause tutorial videos so I can work alongside. Hopefully this makes sense. I got 2 braincells left after working today and they are both in the fetal position in a corner of my brain begging for it to stop.
I also end up with 2 brain cells after a long day lol I have tried doing things in Satisfactory and pausing is absolutely the best. I make these styles of videos so that it's ACTION! but couple it with some tutorials on the side to help others learn how to do it!
I love this type of videos and the streams are relaxing so best of the bosth worlds

When I first found your vids, it was ep1 of your 100 days after I searched for some early game tips as I'm in WAY over my head with atm8. Within about 3 mins of watching I was ready to log back in and give myself huge advantage with your speedrun tips. But ultimately, I'm not speed running. I'm taking my time to mess around with other mods, making a witch hut for Hexerei and a factory for IE/Mek etc. So before long I was learning more from your LP than your 100days challenge. You taking the time to explain how you set stuff up is based af, and I think I ultimately value the LP more than the 100days, but not by much.
100 days = gives me 50 ideas in 5 mins, but I don't want to do them all yet because I'll take my time and not speedrun.
LP = Gives me 10 ideas in 5 mins and then spends another 5 explaining/setting them up. epic.
Also, what are some good ranged weapon/guns in the pack? Help a brother out! The Reliquary handgun looks awesome but it's kinda weak. I'm using a mekanism Electric bow with Infinite Quiver atm but kinda boring ngl

I have no clue tbh. I've never used a ranged weapon! See if you can Apotheosis enchant the hunter's handgun!
That weird power thing that happened to you also happened to me on my ATM8 playthrough but it happened after I had to reinstall the pack because it was crashing on startup
it was SO weird!! I wonder if it has something to do with Flux Networks and how they store things?
For this 100 days bit, the quick action just leaves me wanting more, like junk food.
The slow ones are good when you got plenty of time to sit down and enjoy, but you only got 100 days to live. Best speed up and break it down~
I've been playing ATM8 recently also and I recommend making the enchant library it stores all the enchant books and makes it easy to make a max book with no levels cost super usefull

in the functional storage mod you can right click the storage contoller with locking tool it will lock all of them in one click. after you assigned all of the drawer.

ik i’m late but i just started playing modded minecraft and i’m trying to learn everything. Other peoples videos are to slow. these show me what i need to build quickly and i prefer this because i just use these as a reference. you show enough for me to figure out the rest. i think this format is good for people just starting out that don’t wanna watch 25 videos just to get to building a windmill. Your videos alone have got me to want to complete everything. where as before i was loosing interest.

I like the play through style
I like the fastpaced vids. And i would love a video abou the difference between ae2 and RS.
The slower paced videos are better coz it fills up more time and it also helps with tips and pointers for certain mods that i can use for my own sp save
I highly prefer the play through style videos. The fast paced are fun from time to time, but I learn more from the play through vids.
Hey Alfred, don't forget that if you link the drawers first, you can use the config tool on the Controller and lock/unlock all the drawers at the same time!

FYI I found out on the functional storage if you haven't attached refined storage, AE2, or and ender chest, essentially no inputs, you can first link all the drawers to the controller then use the configuration tool on the controller itself to lock all the drawers at once
I like these recap videos more because I don't need to dedicate large chunks of time to watching them. I'm less likely to get around to watching or finishing a video that's upwards of 30 minutes long, and that makes me fall off of watching the series as a whole.
And with a modpack as big as ATM 8, this makes it much easier to learn about every single mod in the pack instead of just getting looks into the biggest mods. Longer videos are good for diving into specific mods I want to learn about in detail, but the short videos are good for introducing mods that I didn't even know existed or what they did.
quick tips: instead of locking every single drawer, you can connect them to the controller first then lock the controller, it will automatically lock all the connected drawer

honestly I wouldn't mind VOD's for gameplay (this speedrun series probably wouldn't work for this) but stream it on twitch/YT then post vods to this or a second channel with the normal videos still going out its minimal work (excluding the streaming part / upload time)

You can shift click the controller with the config tool to lock all drawers that are connected to it in one shot.
For 100 days styled video I think the quick style video is best, for laid back lets play, slow video content is best. My view point on it at least.
i think id rather a series of like 40 min vids is what i like best

I like the fast progression, its different from other modded let's-plays. but I also like long form videos sometimes. I think you should do more fast videos but keep doing the longer playthrough videos. I think doing both is good in any way that works for you
I really want to figure out a way to do both. These videos take A LOT of editing hours and with that, takes much longer to make. Thank you for taking the time to respond!
For storage, you could just make a full size create vault and be good for a long time, if you manage to fill it up completely, just add another one

@@AlfredGGMC I did it on my AOF6 world and it's really good, 1 storage bus and I have access to hundreds of items, if it ever gets filled up, just add another one.
Also, they can be stacked together up to a 3x3x9

I'm mostly into let's play style videos with more explaining and a much calmer pace, but then again this series has got me hooked. I think I'll have to answer both. Both styles of videos are great! At least your take on it. I'm still not a big fan of 100 days content from other creators.

I like either style, feels like the play through style might be easier to manage and give you more episodes to put out. These feel like they edit down a week into 20 minutes.
maybe best of both worlds? Do play style videos and as you go note down timestamps of interesting events. Then every 10 episodes post a recap high speed type video

Instead of the drawers, you could use a backpack, or an upgraded chest with stack upgrades, it takes less space and i think drawers are a little laggy
Remember that you can lock all drawers at once by using the locking tool on a controller which are linked to drawers.
I've enjoyed all your content so far. You should probably go with the numbers (YT stats) as long as you don't mind making that type of video.

Isn't the classic speedrun format something like uncut gameplay? To me this seems more like the 'i survived 100 days in...' with a time limit/pack completion goal twist to it.

Yes, the classic speedrun is more of uncut gameplay. I have done this for ATM8 and you can find the vod on my Twitch channel. however, it makes for poor content for YT so I wanted to do something more like this!
hello! its been a while but im back now :D i think the lets play style is nice for quicker videos but theres nothing stopping you from just uploading your entire recording/streaming sessions to a second channel for those that want unedited in depth gameplay
By the way, you can add drawers to controller first and then click controller with the other card to lock all drawers with one click.
I prefer to see like how to broke a mod in the modpack or how to set insane power, mystical (like you did), maybe like the mekanism overpower machines... stuff like that
