I have been a Burton fan for 14 years... I personally wish he would have fought back but glad he didn't. He's an honest man and will own up to his mistakes unlike Gordon. I know I've seen interviews like that with Gordon the one apologizing for messing up. So he can get ovcer it.Love the emotions and I was just saying that I missed Earnhardt Sr and all the trouble he used to cause. He'd get out of that car, flash that grin and all would be well. I think he was smiling down on that little scene.

I mean he couldn't get his story straight on that snippet of radio they played. But like I said, I respect them both and still think Burton is one of the best out there for just taking the blame like he should. And as a Gordon fan, I applaud him for making this his only scuffle with Burton from then on to now. I probably would have wrecked him as payback

finally a cup driver shows some emotion after getting wrecked. burton has run over 3 or 4 cars this year and even pissed off his teammates and all burton can say is "what'd i do wrong" or "sorry about that, my bad". burton and johnson both act like they dont drive dirty but if you pay attention to the little things, they're both very dirty, but dont USUALLY do anything stupid.

@NefariousStorm, this isn't the same scenario though the 2-car drafting has been subject to various accidents and Burton said it wasn't Dale Jr.'s fault, check the big one at Daytona this year Waltrip turned Reutimann accidentally and Reutimann said it wasn't his fault, even in practice and in the Bud Shootout. By the way who cares if it was an accident or not the fact of the matter is that Burton made poor judgment and took two cars out of the race. Burton is a clean driver though.

@TheMagicalLemon01 He doesn't suck, he's just not as dominant as he was when he was younger. He's older now - every driver falls off at the end of their careers. Look at Jeff Burton - he's no good anymore either. But neither driver "sucks", they're just not as good as they used to be.

Best documentary of the incident! Amazing how NASCAR allowed Gordon to leave his car & ambulance and walk clear across the track to kick some Burton ass! Yeah, that's right- NASCAR ALLOWED it! This is kinda funny because those are my two favorites. I like Gordon as a driver but I like Burton because I like Caterpillar. At least Burton knew he screwed up and said so.

now im a harvic fan and all and i used to like gordon and all and normally i would be laughing over this but im not, i like the whole "have at it" rule but i still want to see a somewhat clean race and that was not clean at all, burton did that on purpose. dont let him fool you with the whole "i didnt mean to" bull. he should have gotten his butt kicked and he would have to. so to burton, hope you know that in that move you have lost a lot of peoples respect and im sure you gained a few rivals!
