One thing that struck me hard as I first started my research is how may Armenians today are direct descendants of at least one orphan! When Soghomon Tehlirian set about rescuing orphans after the war... he was rescuing the future of his nation. Bless you Maritsa!
My grandfather was left an orphan after his parents were murdered and two of his siblings. He and I believe his two brothers survived them he was transferred to an orphanage in Aleppo, Syria 🇸🇾 But he murdered grandmother and two young aunts moved to present day Armenia in 1945-1946 like so many genocide survivors!
