Eric Bogosian keeps saying "I didn't know that" or "I don't know any of that" …. so the question is WHY DON"T WE ALL KNOW? Why don't we know Greek history and about the Ottoman Empire? Why don't we know about the Christian Genocide or about Smyrna or about the population exchange? All we ever hear about is the Jewish genocide. Our school systems are FAILING US!
Armenians attempted to assassinate Abdul Hamid II, the sultan of the Ottoman Empire that was responsible for the massacre of many Armenians and the climate that led to the genocide in 1915. The assassination failed, but I wonder how history would have turned out differently had the Armenian assassins succeeded in killing Abdul Hamid II.
I really enjoyed watching him as an actor, it was a pleasant surprise to find he has written a non fiction book, about such a fascinating but not well known topic. I love that it started as a script, but his curiosity took him in another direction. Well done Eric, popping off to buy the book straight away
What a one-sided perspective! My grandma told me horror stories of Armenians betraying Turks and Azeris to please Russians.. And there is no mention of that in this fiction.
Its all about lobbying and influence. Should we have a strong Azerbaijani or Turkish lobby in California, stories would be completely the other way around.
I would watch this movie all day
If they ever decide to make the story of Anthony Bourdain Eric Bogosian would be the perfect person to play him.
Legendary story!

The same comments and inability to accept the truth. Unforunately, this is how opinions are influenced. What a shame!
