      It will I have a playlist on them ,
      I like them a lot because they are cheap and good , although the very few problems they have are generally harder to fix like the alternator and the shock towers but I guess at least they don’t blow engines or generally have transmission problems until they switch to the CVT transmission……. I don’t want anybody busting my balls saying they’re cheap to fix I show you how to fix them cheaply but if you take them somewhere……. Well let’s just say they want to put it in your corn store!!!!!

    Thank you for this video, Clay! Just picked up a nice '06 Limited that had an intermittent P0193 code. Checked it against a '07 XLT that had a good fuel pressure sensor, and the charts were definitely different. I'm gonna further confirm it like you did with turning the key on with the vacuum hose unplugged. I suspect mine will do the same thing and I do smell gas from time to time. This would make sense. Got code for Fuel pressure high
    Replaced sensor and checked connector.
    After replacement pressure during normal operation is at 59 psi.
    During idle I took vacuum off, and pressure only increased by 2 psi..
    Fuel Pump going out? Where else do I look.

    Hey Clay! as always, thanks for the awesome videos, I watch them all. Had the same thing happen to my fuel rail sensor replaced it all good, Thank you! Quick question when/if you have time. I'm still chasing terrible fuel mileage, (2 years now) like 9 mpg in the winter..double that or better in the summer. However, now It has started long cranking to start, rough idle, lean long term fuel trims. swapped all modules from a friends Escape to test..MAF, IAC, Cam sensor, EGR pressure feedback sensor, pulled fuel injectors and had them cleaned, cats not plugged..blah..blah..ect NO DIFFERENCE..losing my mind here!
    Question that I just can't seem to find the answer to anywhere. I am getting 37 lbs fuel pressure while running according to my OBDII tool. What SHOULD the running pump pressure be? Thought a weak pump may be causing it to go lean? it's an 05 3.0L
    Thanks man!!

      First off. Thank you so much for the kind words greatly appreciate having folks like you hear.
      To answer your question regretfully I know quite a bit about these cars and I can tell you that it’s a simple, complicated problem. I would have to guess that one of your three catalytic converter’s is plugged up more than likely the one near the firewall and the one directly after that one. .. obviously the in-line one is easy .. to check, but more often than not people get a misfire on their cylinder heads and the raw fuel drops down into the catalytic converter, eventually igniting and melting the converter.. probably not the answer you want to hear but more than likely is your problem your fuel pressure I don’t know exactly what it should be but I know that 37 is not bad

    • @absolutely__based1760
      @absolutely__based1760 Год назад

      Hi Jayson - I've got the EXACT same symptoms as you. 9mpg in winter, better in Summer. Have also replaced a lot of stuff which didn't seem to help. Were you able to figure out what the issue was?
      Also - I'm reading the shop manual for these cars, 37 PSI for fuel pressure is SLIGHTLY below normal for your 05. Manual says 39 PSI is nominal, so I can't believe that lacking 2 PSI would hurt your mileage that much.

      Honestly I can’t even think of one. Address problems when they pop up……. I should make a video about things to look for when you’re buying one of these. And potential future problems.
      But there’s really nothing that you could do unless you already have a problem because people don’t normally just go and replace parts unless there’s a problem because The very few parts that actually go bad on these are generally rather expensive but there’s only like two or three and that’s what makes them very good vehicles

    Hello sir, Been watching your videos, very helpful! Well I have a 2012 Ford Escape 2nd gen, my problem is it won’t start, I checked the fuel pump it, I pulled it out and ran it, remotely, I put on a fuel pump drive module, I noticed the the pump runs about a second longer now, I’ve checked all the fuses to the fuel system, it wants to try to crack with starter fluid, I didn’t do that to long, just enough to to see if it would try to start and it did, so that means to me that it’s getting fire, the only other thing is it might be the injectors clogged, but would all 6 be clogged, don’t seem likely but could be. Need help on what to do next

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  2 года назад

      Maybe it would reset the adaptive‘s but more than likely the problem is that your catalytic converter‘s are plugged not allowing your exhaust to breathe properly creating lots of back pressure on the engine so that’s quite possibly the most worst case scenario it could be other things like broken vacuum lines etc. etc. but that’s the most common bad catalytic converter’s

      Well you’ll have to forgive my ignorance it’s not a vehicle that I have a lot of knowledge on but from the short amount of research that I did it appears that that engine is probably direct injection
      Which means the fuel pressure sensor is probably located on the direct fuel injection pump which is on the engine.
      The only other place that that sensor would be is actually physically on the fuel injection rail itself. Wouldn’t matter if it’s a BMW or if it’s a Chevrolet the only way it recognize fuel pressure is directly in the fuel system itself and that’s always located on the engine area near the injectors so if it’s not there it’s because it’s direct injection and located on the direct injection pump.

I have video or removal of that one I do not have video of removal of the very front one which is pretty easy and the rear one is pretty self-explanatory the middle one is going to be the one that you have problems removing because you have to remove the alternator to get it out.
