The Waldensian story is very close to my heart! My grandmother used to tell that our family comes from the Waldenses!! Lots of greetings from South Africa
@listenup2882 the waldenses I believe would not have stood for apartheid. And I'm so grateful to be able to say that of my direct family were missionaries to the Zulu nation during apartheid
There is no evidence Vaudès got this from anywhere else. He began the movement, it does NOT date back to the 4th century, this video is historically illiterate unfortunately.
My Ancestors were Waldensians they are from the Piedmont Valley and that house at the beginning of this video looks exactly my Family's stone house that still stands My family has past down Family journals which are very old and I have a of my Waldensians ancestors there I sat around listening to stories about them as a child my Aunt said they were there long before Waldo came along She said they can be straced back to the Apostle Paul It inspired me to become a Geneologist and have I actually found my 3th Great Grandfather Church records as a member of the Waldensians
Amen and Amen x Happy Sabbath x the Waldenses have a special place in my heart, I have my priceless beautiful kjv Bible because of their endurance in their refining fires x may our Heavenly Father Lord GOD and His beautiful begotten Son Lord Jesus have extra special times for them in our new heaven on earth x thank you for your wonderful ministry x much love and God Bless from the UK, Susi xx
To the Lineage Journey Team, this is so impressive, thank you for heeding to this call, thank God for giving you the talents, I’m blessed and I’m going to share, looking forward to these series 🙏🏾
A few years ago I watched a documentary about them under their other name, the Vaudois. I can't remember all the details, but somehow they faded out as a group through some sort of compromise of their faith in the early 1800's. When I heard that, I thought maybe the Lord could have used them instead of William Miller. I'm sure when we get to see all things from God's point of view in heaven we will be shown that throughout Bible and church history He used those who were open to Him, but He could have used others. Another example is the rich man who walked away when Jesus said "give all to the poor and follow Me". Maybe he would have wrote the New Testament instead of Paul.
That's true christianity in its purest form. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth for protecting your sheeps, may their beliefs and teaching of your words in its purest form spread more on this sinful world.
They would have found a welcome there from other Christians. Remember Revelation said the Woman ( True church) would have to flee to the mountains from the Dragon.
-- In 563 AD Columba (of Ireland) and twelve of his brethren set out to do missionary evangelism, settling in Iona, an island in the inner Hebrides, in Scotland. They founded the Abbey on Iona. They were Seventh-day Sabbath-keepers living in Scotland during the sixth century. This would continue until the eleventh century AD. -- “Professor Andrew Lang says of them [churches set up or inspired by St. Patrick]: ‘They worked on Sunday, but kept Saturday in a Sabbatical manner.’ -‘A History of Scotland from the Roman Occupation,’ Vol. I, p. 96. New York: Dodd, Mead, and Co., 1900. -- “Dr. A. Butler says of Columba: ‘Having continues his labors in Scotland thirty-four years, he clearly and openly foretold his death, and on Saturday, the ninth of June, said to his disciple Diermit: ‘This day is called the Sabbath, that is, the rest day, and such will it truly be to me; for it will put an end to my labors.’ -‘Butler’s Lives of the Saints,’ Vol. I, A.D. 597, art. ‘St. Columba,’ p. 762. New York: P. F. Collier. -- “In a footnote to Blair’s translation of the Catholic historian Bellesheim, we read: ‘We seem to see here an allusion to the custom, observed in the early monastic Church of Ireland, of keeping the day of rest on Saturday, or the Sabbath.’ 🫢-‘History of the Catholic Church in Scotland,’ Vol. I, p. 86. -- “Professor James C. Moffat, D.D., Professor of Church History at Princeton, says: “It seems to have been customary in the Celtic churches of early times, in Ireland as well as Scotland, to keep Saturday, the --Jewish-- Sabbath as a day of rest from labor. *They obeyed the fourth commandment literally upon the seventh day of the week* -‘The Church in Scotland,’ p. 140. Philadelphia: 1882. “But the Church of Rome could never allow the light of pure apostolic Christianity [in contrast to the “darkness of impure and corrupted apostolic Christianity,” the mother of which is the Romanized Papal Church headquartered in Rome!] to shine anywhere, for that would reveal her won religion to be apostasy. Pope Gregory I, in 596, sent the imperious monk Augustine, with forty other monks, to Britain. Dr. A Ebrard, says of this ‘mission’: ‘Gregory well knew that there existed in the British Isles, yea, in a part of the Roman dominion, a Christian church, and that his Roman messengers would come in contact with them. By sending these messengers, he was not only intent upon the conversion of the heathen, but from the very beginning he was also bent upon bringing this Irish-Scotch church, which had been hitherto been free from Rome, in subjection to the papal chair.’ -‘Bonifacius,’ p. 16. Guetersloh, 1882. (Quoted in Andrews’ ‘History of the Sabbath,’ fourth edition, revised and enlarged, p. 532).
The Waldenses started the reformation but the Protestant reformers did more Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. What does Jesus mean with that? Thy works, the last are to be more than the first. It’s 1260 years, twelve and a half centuries and there is a work that this church is doing over this long period of time having to deal with what He is revealing to them. As they are working, they are beginning the work. The Waldenses were beginning the work, and it spans right up to 1798 and He says the last is more than the first.

Do you think the Waldenses would have supported Apartheid?
@listenup2882 the waldenses I believe would not have stood for apartheid. And I'm so grateful to be able to say that of my direct family were missionaries to the Zulu nation during apartheid
May the Love of God saterate my heart so that even at the peril of my Life I will stand for him. I pray this for us all🙏 Blessed Sabbath Everyone.
Amen. Thank God for the Waldensians and others like them who kept the faith and spread the truth at the cost of their lives. 🙏🏽❤️
Amen 🙏❤️

Thank you for sharing. We stand at the crossroads again, like the Waldenses may we not give up our faith.

Hope you have the same "religion " of your ancestors
But do you keep the seventh day Sabbath that your ancestors kept

Christian women were banished to the mountains in exile and lost their homes, while men were killed, in Roman persecutions.
They would have found a welcome there from other Christians. Remember Revelation said the Woman ( True church) would have to flee to the mountains from the Dragon.
Which French Bible is based on the Waldenses' translation?
The waldeneses will soon rise since Christ return is very very very near. Are you ready for the resurrection morning?

This video on the Waldenses is for English language students: ruclips.net/video/-Md2MnGuhFw/видео.html
The faith that massacred these humble people for worshipping God true to their conscious still exists today just as hell bent as then
The Waldenses started the reformation but the Protestant reformers did more
Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Heresy is heresy though the persecution of heretics cannot be justified.
Nothing about the allegations of shooting dogs while driving around town?
Music is terrible...
The earth is biblically flat, not a Jesuit globe (only in the Jesuit Douay-Rheims cf. Isaiah 40:22).
Just found this, thank you for your efforts and needs of believers and non. Fabulous 🙏🏼🫶
