HUMANITY CAN BE THIS GOOD AGAIN. WE HAVE IT WITHIN US.
Oh my, Totie Fields...so incredibly talented, and she died way too young.
Totie was a GENIUS. I can't believe there's not a Lot more of her on youtube .
Sadly, she left us some time in the '80s after a number of Illnesses.
@@sandraandrews9907 even before that. 1978, only about 8 years after this show.
I heart the sound the audience produces when the lights go up
"Make a rainbow, let the colors dance and shine!" 🌈 ❤
I love Carol Burnett and and her cast members. Her show is my favorite comedy wish they ran longer.☹️
I loved Saturday night in front of the TV enjoying The Carol Burnett Show!!! It's the best!! 👍👍
Then SNL and SCTV all in the same night!
The amazing and lovely Totie Fields RIP
I just watched the video of Totie's comeback appearance in Las Vegas after her leg amputation. It was amazing the support she got from so many great stars who truly loved her.
@@bryanspindle4455 yes it was just amazing how many people came out to support her. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on her.
Loved this show. Nostalgic
Totie Fields is such a cutie!
41:00 😂 I think Harvey passed through about five different accents in his entrance.
I Love Carol and Everyone on her show. There will never be a show like this again.Never get tired of these shows.Thank you Carol for all the awesome laughs.💟💟💟💟💟💟
I was born the year this was on TV. I swear I knew what was going on very early.
This is the one! The woman in the audience who asked what they used to clean the floors. I'm glad I found it. That woman's logic & wit are priceless! Wish I knew her name. That scene is a fan favourite and popular in best Q&A scenes.
That was pretty funny 😂
Didn't know that! How cool! 😹😹😹😹
I really want to know more about that lady!
I wish I owned every outfit she wore on this show! Absolutely fabulous and unique! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Bob Mackie is a genius and dressed some of the biggest names in showbusiness. My favorite costume on The Carol Burnett show was the curtain rod dress in the Went With The Wind sketch. It got one of the longest laughs in television history when Carol said "l saw it in the window and l couldn't resist it."
Didn't even know I needed this in my life again. Thank you.
I love you Ms Burnett! Xoxo 💝👊🏼🎯❤💘🤓😊💗💯🥰😀😍🤩😎😃💜🇺🇸✌🙏💞🙂💖😂🤣💥
I love watching these shows!!
Ah yes, the episode with the infamous floor soap question.
Looked like the curious floor care lady was a little upset with being laughed at !!!
Just for a few minutes I went back in time a bit. Thank you for the post.
Muy talentosaaaa...
I love this show
I'm struck by how much Carol looks like Allison Janney when she laughs
❤❤❤ I wish that they would bring back variety show
Kansas has it Love it!
I'm talking about variety show on TV like Carol's
This Q&A was definitely one of the best of the 11 years. First we have a guy who confronts Carol about her sister's nailed wallpaper (and the sister just happens to be in the audience that night), and then we go to the lady who wants to know what they use to clean the stage floor...the final shot of this OCD lady is just priceless. There are people out there who are like that - they are incredibly anal-retentive about cleanliness and organization and if one piece of furniture is off-center or if there's one speck of dust on a countertop or crumb on the carpet, they freak out. It takes all kinds...
Joan Crawford comes to mind lol
Excelente programa 👍 👏
This entire channel is a blessing.
Dipitty Do. My mother used that back in the late 60s and early 1970.
My mom used it in my hair every time she set it in curlers.
Now I understand the photo of the dog
Mine too. I remember playing in it and having hard chunks in my hair.
Me too,
Mine did 2 lol
Very entertaining, super talented. Carol Burnett is sure missed .
I'm pleased to report that she's still alive, and even better: healthy. 😊 She turned 91 last month.
Totie! 💖💖💖💖
Haha the Carol and sis sketches were always some of my favorites!
Same! 👏🏻❤️
Ty for posting Love ya Carol and company.
Love Carol Burnett! Such an icon...
I love Carol ♥
Vicki handed off that prop baby and as soon as carol shut the door I thought. ( toss it in the bin ) And swish, there it went. Lol !
Penicillin for a cold….now; go home and call me when nearly breathing.
So I wasn't hallucinating...Totie actually DID get shorter during the question and answer session....
Thanks for this. But, unfortunately, we don't see Carol sing her song & see the closing credits. 😢 That's the best part of seeing the FULL EPISODE.
Yes! I love the closing credits. I was hoping to see them for this show!
good show i liked it
Excelente 😄😄😄😄😄💪
Wonder if Bob Mackie did that backdrop.
Ken Berry was basically kind of a one-trick pony when it came to acting but he was always so good at that one trick. And then sometimes he'd really surprise you when he went above and beyond what he usually did. But he was a really natural performer AND he could also sing and dance. Thanks (indirectly) to Carol, he got a big second-break in the final decade of his career as Vint on the long-running "Mama's Family", perhaps his best-known role. He'd played the small town folky guys many times in the past and Vint iced the cake of that run - Vint was a dumbass and Ken played the part to a T.
👏👏👏👏
This show was 50 minutes long. So, that means 10 minutes for commercials during the hour. These days, there are 10 minutes for commercials, or even more, FOR A HALF-HOUR SITCOM!!! Sign of the times. Also, the ending credits of this show go by slowly enough that you can read all the names. They have literally gotten shorter with every passing year since then, and the names are not visible for long enough to be able to read them.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
❤😂🎉
What kind of soap do they use to clean the floor?! 😂
Yessss
Nice!!!
Hermosa
I think Totie Field looks like Divine (that isn't a criticism, just an observation).
Good👍🏼
Love love carol burnett, I'm trying to find all her shows all together so I can order them but can't find it anywhere, not yet anyway
They aren't all available to purchase. Only selected episodes have been released on DVD. Don't count on the entire series ever making it to DVD. The costly music rights would be too much for it to ever happen.
@@ChrisHansonCanada Aren't they pretty much all online now?
Pbs fundraiser often sold the DVD collection of her show.

In Canada, the natives have been living without access to clean water for... well, since 'we' moved in. Our latest PM said he'd most definitely take care of it - FIVE YEARS AGO, and still hasn't done squat. There are so many communities in 2022 throughout Canada (one of THE water-richest places on the planet) that still need to boil water to drink.
She kissed that stranger but couldn’t give the lil boy an autograph. Why?
👏🤗
🤗🤩👏👏👏
👏👏😘😘😘😄
Okey
I guess Totie was taking lessons from Divine for looks and for everything else!
Or vice versa
👍
👍😎👍😎👍😎👍
Glad you could complete it. c.b.s must charge by the foot .So carol Burnette's caused was peace and clean air and water. The pollution in l.a. as well as the water must have been bad even in 71. It looked like the ken berry Dance number might have been a sneaky anti-Vietnam war mockery too . Unless I'm wrong I don't think she should be up in Vietnam u.s.o. show neither. unless she was too busy. If I'm right good for her. I've been seeing these old shows for the first time in color since 67 71 until 74 we finally got a color. t.v set. Today a lot of people would laugh at this, but even back in 71, it was high still. Black and white were cheaper. I was going more to the movie theaters since the admission was cheaper based on the inflation of the time. The multi-plex was just developing. Imagine! a year later the Vietnam war would be coming to an end slowly. My fear of having to fight in the war was a fear.
We had black and white set until mid 80s wheny sisters boyfriend came over and said I didn't know they made that movie in black and white and my mother did no it's a black and white TV and he bought her a color TV the next day.
it's a bit longer, but I wish you could have shown the 51 52 minute version
Do we know the name of the daughter character that keeps having babies? 😆
I think they change her name every time
37:49 sounds like PCOS to me....
Anyone get a gay subtext in that heartbroken best buddy sketch?
What kinda nut asks Carol Burnett what they use to clean the floors , right on live television 📺
The life choices we make 😕 i had a brother who had 2 heart attacks he was so big from being a skinny twig and the family tried to get him to take care of himself and he told us all where we can go..... Wasn't even 40..... So sad
Soap opera segment is hilarious as always! :D
As The Stomach Turns.😀 #classictv
👍
Okey
