Vintage 1920 valve spring compressor lifter

Hello everyone. I got this item a while ago for free. But I never knew what is was for. But since it was patented February28, 1920, I decided to restore it.
Now I think I know what this tool is called.
It is a Valve spring compressor lifter, or something like that.
