      Such a contrast to the inconsiderate arseholes in the US. People her are such jerks they throw trash on the ground or leave it on the counter when a trash can is with in feet. Liberal culture is just killing the US... be as fat, lazy, ignorant and inconsiderate as you can be, because it is your American right!

    I stayed in internet cafes for several nights while I was studying abroad in Japan. I would say its a great experience, on par with capsule hotels. Sure they don't have a bed for you, but they do have more amenities for free. And since I was a student, I got slightly discounted rates as well for my stays. You do need to have proof of Japanese residency though, so tourists generally can't use them.

    • @codypriceYouTubeAddednumbers
      @codypriceYouTubeAddednumbers 10 месяцев назад +15

      are you saying you can't get the student discount rate without proof of japanese residency or like you can't stay their if you are a tourist? Im just confused because you said tourist can't use them while talking about being a student studying abroad in japan which i think would already imply you have japanese residency.

    • @socialiism3583

      You can't stay at internet cafes without a membership, and you need to have residency to get a membership. While in Japan as a student I got proof of residency since I was staying there 5-6 months.

    I tried an internet cafe in Tokyo for 3 hours after arriving in an overnight bus from Osaka, and I thought I could get some sleep. Even though I had a better room (fully enclosed, mat on the floor to lie down and the lights could be turned off. I still couldn't get much sleep.
    Another thing I would like to add is that towels, soap, shampoo and toothbrush are extras and after adding all the cost up, it may be better just to get a regular or capsule hotel room.
    An interesting concept though and it's these little weird stuff that you can find only in Japan is what I love so much about the country😊

    To make a pretty soft serve, keep the cup or cone close to the machine and move slowly. Run the machine, slowly.

    Noise cancelling headphones are essential for sleeping and not just in internet cafés either, hotels and camping or caravaning have similar issues. Nowadays a lot of people don’t care how much noise they make when going
    back to their rooms at night no matter what the time. They don’t even lower their voices, and talk really loudly as they walk past other people’s rooms, laughing and shrieking - they couldn’t care less about anyone else.

      fire alarms are 120 db. ear plugs only dampen 30 dbs (both passive and active) - so all the background normal noises would be silenced but that fire alarm will still be 80 dbs....the loudness of a vacuum cleaner or car horn.

    I stayed in one when I studied abroad years ago. It had a bed. It was pretty cheap as well. I consider it actually better than a capsule hotel because you have way more space to move around and more privacy, and feels less like a coffin.

    I really perked up when you went to the shrine. Not sure if I'd like the internet cafe with my back problems, but the prices of the cafe and meals would be worth it for those on a budget.

    This is really interesting. But I think not for me. I would prefer the capsule hotel, at least you get somewhat privacy and the capsule is actually a place to sleep so it's much quieter. 😁

    È diventato il mio canale preferito, mi infonde pace e curiosità e mi diverte perché amo alla follia tutta la tecnologia che in Italia non esiste. Fantastico anzi: voto canale 10\10
