  • Following on from the previous video ( • Step 1- How to fill an... ), which shows you how to fill an underfloor heating system, Martin Allen moves on to the next step which involves pressurising the system. The key steps include:
    1) Isolate the underfloor heating from the main system using the ball valve on the pump set.
    2) Open all flow meters and bottom valves so that the entire underfloor heating system is open ready for pressure testing.
    3) Connect the pressure test on to the flow bar of the manifold and open the tap to the manifold.
    4) Pressurise the system to 4-6 Bar and lock off the test pump
    5) Keep watching the gauge for any drops. After this, the system pressure can be dropped to 1.1 times working pressure and should be maintained whilst the screed is going down.
    6) When laying the screed the system pressure will change due to heat from the screed but the pressure should never go to 0 Bar
    7) Once finished, release the pressure and if any anti-freeze was used flush this out with clean water (using filling procedure video) 3 times.
