That's the thing about Mokichi. His base fighting style leaves him superior to most others.. he just doesn't have the "super moves" to surpass others when they are pushed against the wall. He was better than Raian in his base form. Maybe it is because Raian is stubborn and doesn't wish to use any Kure technique other than Release.. but it may also simply be he was not good enough at the time with them to be able to fight on equal level to Mokichi even had he used them.
No Raian was arrogant during the annihilation tournament and wanted to beat everyone with just the brute force and sheer might of his superior Kure body and release technique. Mokichi is pretty strong but if Raian used the Kure techniques the fight would've been over way quicker In Kengan Omega we know that Raian has more wins against a healthy fully realised Ohma (in terms of mastery over the Niko style not the new flow of power shenanigans) during their training as well as Raian easily messing up a 100% release user with just the Kure techniques
I saw some panels of the manga of Kengan Omega. In a fight against a psychopath named Alan Wu, who was like Raian but larger and older, Raian defeated him, grabbed his jaws and ripped him in half like a rag doll
@@carlosserra689 I read Kengan Omega as well. It's Kengan Ashura taken to a new level of ridiculousness. Ashura is somewhat grounded in realistic techniques, but Omega takes the mythological fighting styles. So what comes out of THERE is not representative of what is shown in Ashura. He's also vastly stronger at that point than he is here.

Sadly, there is only one fight with mokichi, he is one of my favourite fighters. He was doing well against Raian and could do well against Ohma, too.
