I bought a LV bag gtdupe years ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The store clerk inspected my bag and immediately told me that the bag was of good quality. She pulled a current bag out of inventory and compared the tags and I found zero differences
I was scammed with a pair of Dr Martens shoes a few years ago and the feeling when you receive a fake is horrible... I paid the same as originals and were totally made of plastic, I was just looking for my size 😢
I bought a classic from a website. It was around the £35 price mark. I thought it was a bargain. So I ordered it and waited and waited. Later I noticed that they’d taken my money but my order had failed. I contacted them and they said they had the order and would send it. It eventually arrived but it was clearly a fake. I managed to resell it (I did not claim it was authentic). I then ordered a real one from the actual website and when it arrived I could immediately tell the difference. It’s very easy to be taken in by the cheap things online. You really have to do your research. 👍🏻 Good video 😊
Thank you! I’m glad you were able to get one you like that’s also authentic. 😃 It’s funny isn’t it, how different they feel? ( Sorry for this late reply…just saw your comment! 😬). What color did you choose?
i'd been scammed once on IG for some clothing. Many of these factories steal designs from boutique brands and steal their pictures, usually you can tell when the model's head is cutoff from the product image. They send you a really cheap knock off and the only way you can get your money back is through paypal dispute. For Kanken, the way i can tell at first glance is the logo, the eye of the fox is sharp, the one circle on top of the A in "Kanken" should be touching, and the back of the buttons have 2 concentric circles - on the fake ones, the circle of the A is detached and the eyes of the fox is rounded and the back of the buttons are not similar at all. The material tag inside should also be silky and seams are always sewn if its authentic. Ive seen authentic Kankens without the swedish flag too btw, so I dont usually go with that.
Thanks! I appreciate your sharing this. For any future purchases I will be even further equipped. 😊 Your point about the models’ heads being cut-off is an obvious one that I sadly missed. 😂 I do feel like this was a learning experience and I’m a little less gullible now. Thanks for commenting.
This vid is so useful. I got a Kanken sling yesterday and made a comparison with the Mini I purchased 4 years ago. I discovered the Mini is not original 😢. I paid so much attention when I got it, I thought it was genuine. But a couple of details are so ambiguous. Too late to return it and to have my money back. What I learned: better to buy on the office website and avoid Amazon.
Oh no.... I think I bought one from them... I’m sad, not because the brand itself but I really loved the idea of my money going to arctic foxes and the environment, and I know in some of these knockoff places the workers aren’t treated amazing. Man I love my backpack still but I hope I learned from my mistake for the future 😕 I guess I’m just holding onto some hope it’s just an older version but I dunno. Thank you for spreading the word though!
You’re welcome. ☺️You’re right though, , at least we can learn and be careful the next time around. But it bugs me that these people get away with it so often. 😩
Excellent attention to detail! Thank you. I think my backpack is real, I paid $90 on the Fjallraven US website, but it came in a plastic bag, as opposed to a box, so that got me wondering…. Also, my backpack has plastic hardware on the straps. The stitching is excellent on my pack, but I just can’t tell whether or not mine is actually authentic.
So I have a real Kanken backpack I bought around 3 years ago. This has been my school bag and last year I bought a Kanken sling on eBay for like $28. It’s almost exactly authentic material to like my backpack. The thing was it was in the forest green color Kanken didn’t even have for the sling until recently. Even though it is fake, it’s pretty close which I do not mind since I have a real Kanken already
