If anyone is still having trouble connecting your led strips the way I solve my problem is by getting closer to my WiFi router and using a different mobile device but you guys may not have to use a different phone just mainly try getting closer to your router with no walls then after that you should be connected and can unplug the lights and put them in your room
Once it comes to the pairing part it doesn’t work the time just runs out and instead of being able to hold down the button for 5 seconds I have to hold it down for 9
It seems to me that somewhere inside your cable, the ribbon strip that holds the lights is kinked and has come apart. I had that happen to me and it rendered it useless.
How long have you had it? I’ve heard of a few people here getting a bad one. I would that you did too. I have the same 4 and they are still working well. Maybe take it back and get another?
If you have 5GHz then you have 2.4 embedded or else……found this for ya. hardwarerecs.stackexchange.com/questions/11993/single-band-5ghz-only-wifi-router Having no 2.4Ghz radio would break backwards compatibility with b/g/n WiFi. Any router that has only a 5Ghz radio in it cannot receive a WiFi Certification! (Then it's not a "WiFi" device at all!) That's basically shooting yourself in the foot for compatibility with most WiFi devices. Of course you can usually disable the 2.4 Ghz radio in a router that has one...

Can you connect two together, like i thought 16.4 ft would be enough but it wasn’t so can i get another one and connect it together instead of plugging it into a different outlet?
@@CristalGonzalez16 normally this isn't the best thing to do as the leds draw power from the power supply which has a limit to the power it outputs. For example: if the leds in the strip pull 1 watt each. And there are 20 leds, it's pulling 20 watts. If the power brick says output is 5v 5a then it's output is 25 watts (volts x amps = watts). We then assume the wifi and other electronics pull less than 5 watts. So linking another strip of 20 leds would then pull over 40 watts, which could lead to dimmer lights or other unknown issues.
So your phone is connected to the 2.4 signal in your router? You can try doing the monster factory reset they use for all their strips on their website and try again. I hate there are some having issues.
