    Priceless things:
    1. Serge's self-satisfied smirk through the whole song as he watches an unsuspecting France sing out the lyrics as she's honestly thinking of lollypops.
    2. People dancing around them like it was freaking Soul Train.

Because he's Jewish and all the people in the entertainment/music industry in France are Jews and pedophiles. How did Roman Polanski get away with raping little gentile girls? In fact, Serge Gainsbourg wrote, produced and recorded a song with his then 12 year old daughter that promotes pedophilia and incest (Lemon Incest).

I have to respectfully disagree. When she found out the true meaning of the song in Japan, she never sang it again, even though its commercial success meant there was lots more money to be made from it. She also distanced herself from her own father, who had been instrumental in the production of the song. She felt he had pimped her out, which hurt her deeply.

@@atw196 The title of the song translates to lollipops. But the song has a double meaning. It can an innocent song about a girl that enjoys lollipops and goes to the store to buy some more. The other meaning is the lollipops are actually penises. Through the context that the song gives, it's pretty clear that the lollipops are supposed to be penises. France Gall was just very naïve at the time. During those times, they would teach young people such things.

    Annie aime les sucettes
    Les sucettes à l'anis
    Les sucettes à l'anis
    De Annie
    Donnent à ses baisers
    Un goût anisé
    lorsque le sucre d'orge
    Parfumé à l'anis
    Coule dans la gorge d'Annie
    Elle est au paradis
    Pour quelques pennies
    Annie
    A ses sucettes à
    L'anis

Poor France Gall. The first time she sang that song, she was so young and "unaware," she did not get the meaning of the subtext at all, and could not understand why the public was shocked at her. Gainsbourg made his living on provocation... but he should've known better. France Gall's future husband Michel BERGER (great song writer in his own right) never forgave Gainsbourg for that dirty lollypop joke of his which could've ruined France Gall's career.

In a way I wish I didn't know about the subtext. I'm watching this and thinking "Oh, what a lovely song, SG is such a great songwriter." and then I'm like "Oh yes, this song actually about head and here SG is singing this with a completely oblivious teenage girl." Hmm. Morally dubious to say the least.
That said, I have a total pedobear lesbian thing for France Gall, so I'm not a lot better. Le sigh.

CUANDO ENTENDIÓ EL SIGNIFICADO DE LA CANCIÓN TERMINÓ LA RELACIÓN CON SERGE GAINSBOURG A PESAR QUE HABÍA SIDO MUY EXITOSO EL TRABAJO ENTRE AMBOS..
QUE TIENEN EN COMÚN SERGE GAINSBOURG, LEONARD COHEN, Y BOB DYLAN' ? LOS TRES SON JUDÍOS, LOS TRES COMPONÍAN MUY BIEN, Y LOS TRES CANTABAN COMO LAS HUEVAS.
SER JUDÍO AYUDA BASTANTE EN EL MUNDO ARTÍSTICO MUSICAL.

I'm not so sure she was so innocent as it's said. I think she saw the doubleness in the lyrics herself, just as much as anyone over a certain age did (and probably still do).

She was very angry when she found out, refusing to sing it and refused to record more songs for several years after that. She distrusted producers, distrusted her father, and only recorded again after meeting Michel Berger.
