Hi Emanuel. I just wanted to thank you for the consistent uploads. I’m a B737 NG type rated pilot myself and got into sim recently to practise procedures thoroughly before the airline induction. Your videos help me a lot and give me different perspectives. Regards 😊
I love the Camera Views as they are set on XPlane so much that I changed all the buttons on MSFS to mimick the same procedures as XP, which I find is quite a lot more simple as you do not have to use key combinations to get you camera views once they are set, just press the number assigned on the numerical pad 🙂
When I first got MSFS I changed all the MSFS assignment to match the default P3D assignments as I was so used to them. I guess people get to love what they’re used to.
Interesting video and it's very pertinent with subject that bothers me greatly. What exactly is the view you have when seated properly. I know you have the align markings but it never seems right to me. I watch RL cockpit videos trying figure how high they are in seats relative to glare shield. Then there's the zoom factor... I suppose setting a usable view is all that matters. I use ultrawide screen which changes the fov as well. I'm not lucky enough to get to sit in these planes to figure it out. I have some docs with figures but how do you set a marker a specific distance on ground to see if you can see it or not in the sim 😢
I second this. The most difficult part is getting the pilot view set properly. I have spent a lot of time moving things around, messing with the zoom, and getting them to a spot where I like, but it never seems right, and I feel some of the immersion is lost. I'd be curious to see an addition to this video discussing the pilot view as well.
The default view works really great for me and seems quite accurate. In general don’t be worried if you can’t get it 100% spot on, there’s quite some issues with views in MSFS vs in real life since for example in the real world the position of your eyes in space changes when you look around (you move your entire head overall and its center of movement is on your spine, not your eyes). The default positions in the Fenix and PMDGs is pretty good.
@@A330Driver thx for the answer it’s nice to get some real life perspective on it and accept it’s good enough. The 2d monitor screen never going to really work when it comes to conveying what it’s really like.
Thank you for your videos Emmanuel, this one was very informative! at some point can you go over how you look around at the ECAM when pressing the APU fire test or engine fire test buttons? thank you!
Hi Viktor, use the left and right mouse key simoultaniously for that. Note that it does not work with all aircraft, some developers inhibit the right key while you hold the left key to press the button.
Hey Emanuel, thanks for this. Have an issue with the view height - If I follow your guidelines there it is tilting the view angle and not bring me up or down. You know what I can do else?
Nice one..when I try to take the view from cabin the plane keeps on moving here and there and i can't stabilize the camera at one place.....this is for FBW
I have seen you move about the cabin. How do you open the cockpit door? I saw that you mentioned disable cabin in the settings? What settings and where would that be?
Thanks for the informative video. Much appreciated! Q: how do you configure. Your throttles etc for a tri-jet, such as the Md-11? Do you have a 3- throttle setup, or do you bind engines? Also, flying a 4 engine aircraft, do you have a 4-throttle peripheral, or do you bind engines using a 2-throttle peripheral setup? Cheers Steve.
Hi Steve, depends on whether I have a lazy day or not 😂 Sometimes I just can’t be bothered and assign all throttles to one axis, on other days I do make the effort to change my Bravo throttle setup to match my number of engines. I’d say it’s 50/50.
I changed the " control + alt" command in settings to just " control" So saving a view is " control + any number" After that pressing just that number gives you the saved view. Less keys to press 😊
Go to CAMERA -> COCKPIT CAMERA and assign "COCKPIT LOOK DOWN " and "COCKPIT LOOK UP" actions to SHIFT + DOWN and UP (or CTRL + DOWN and UP, etc) keyboard keys.

This is the content we are all here for!! 👏🏼

Lovely modelling and texturing, which A321 is this? Thanks for all the amazing content and your passion!
Thanks Emi! nice piece of information regarding the seat to see the icing conditions! :-)
Thanks Emanuel. I appreciate if you could make a video to explain us how to manage external movement of the aircraft like during a walk around.

Many thanks Captain. What about Moving outside. (from cabin to outside using stairs)?
This is great stuff! I will give this a try.
Loose the "Alt" key when setting up custom views. Your adding unnecessary key press.
thank you so much
Thank you Emi! quick question, for each aircraft you would have to setup different views?
Yes you’d have to set up different views for different aircraft. The general principle is always the same though.
Many many thks sir !
If only we could pop out multiple views like we could in the old FS days
Indeed it would!

Some small movement is indeed included in the simulators own camera functions, but normally this should work rather well.

Keyboard / Mouse Profile "Blyad" :D:D:D

you are right. iwonder, why many simmers still use ALT+NUM for a special view instead of just the number key - like we are used to in XPlane .
...easy like Sunday morning
Hi Emmanuel , how you set the camera to look down when clicking the Fire tests in the overhead panels ?
Go to CAMERA -> COCKPIT CAMERA and assign "COCKPIT LOOK DOWN " and "COCKPIT LOOK UP" actions to SHIFT + DOWN and UP (or CTRL + DOWN and UP, etc) keyboard keys.
Hi, I hold the left mouse key down to keep the button pressed, the press and hold the right mouse key to look around.
@@coriscotupi thank u very much 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
do you do anything differently to make a view where you zoom in on the auto-pilot or radio?
No, exactly the same.
I am using beyond ATC and it has immobilized this feature so that it cannot be used are you aware of any workaround
Do you also use a custom view for the captains seat?
No, I use the default one which is pretty accurate.
Icant open the cockpit door?? and I save the custom cam and when ı used it camera shaking crazy
Did you disable the cabin in the settings?
Did you use Active Sky for this video?
No
I just use TrackIR
Easiest is to use an xbox controller 🎮
nah, keyboard is just as easy.
