    I dont see how your nose can function with part of the septum removed and or lose its strength.

    I have the most difficult time breathing. My nose DOES collapse when breathing in through my nose. And the upper area looks like it has smile lines in it, moreso as I age. If you wrinkle up your nose, that is more accentuated on me. Almost like wrinkles!
    I was reading a book called "Breath A New Science of an Old Art" by James Nestor and they were explaining this exact thing. I looked it up and ended up here. I'd be amazed if I finally got some relief. I use 2 nose sprays, a nasal moisturizer, an inhaler and decongestants at night. Still I can't adequately breath.

      This sprays make thing worse in the long run. You should go to en ENT for a consultation, it’s only like $200. You may need deviated septum surgery but it’s worth it.

      @@adamk4733 thank you. I do go to one and they have done a deviated septum and bone spur.. I almost bled out four times and ended up back in the hospital. I think I just have some scar tissue from it or something. Thanks.

    Is nasal valve collapse the same as empty nose syndrome??? Is empty nose syndrome caused by nasal valve collapse??? I need to know because I'm afraid I have empty nose syndrome because my septoplasty failed and now it feels like I'm suffocating 24/7 . My surgeon said it may be nasal valve collapse but why am i feeling like im suffocating all day????? I lose so much sleep and i feel like banging my head on rocks all day due to the feeling of no oxygen in my brain!!! Somebody please help me out... if nasal valve collapse can make me feel like this too so I'm not worrying so much... thanks

      @@ryanlp5628 that's nice to hear. I'm just freaking out because it's getting worse day by day. Every night now it feels like I'm going to get into a seizure because lack of oxygen. I had my first ever seizure just 30 days after my first surgery, which was the septoplasty for turbanite reduction and deviated septum...

      @@ryanlp5628 so I don't why the f I would go into seizures exactly 30 days after the surgery with a feeling of super lack of oxygen. My only theory is that the surgeon hit a nerve. I absolutely do have nasal valve collapse because now when I breathe in my nasal valve on my right side completely caves in. It never did that before surgery. And I'm thinking because the surgery failing, meaning nasal valve collapse is due to too much injury to the nose, the surgeon hit a nerve that triggered my brain to get me into seizures.

    Can the nasal osteotomy worsen the valve collapse?

    • @LexaTerrestrialx
      @LexaTerrestrialx Год назад +1

      That’s a very good question Actually…
      I’m curious too. I had osteotomy’s done, but now the bones are crooked & denting into my airway and causing it to collapse.
      I think osteotomy used to straighten your bones, reduce them, or remove pieces of it from your airway wouldn’t harm or make it worse.
      It could possibly help, but I don’t know.
