When I was 15 years old I heard Skillet’s music from the Collide album on my family’s computer. I didn’t know what it was but it was different than the other rock music I listened to. It seemed more profound and had strength about it. After I got saved 2 years later, their lyrics made sense: “there’s something deep inside that keeps my faith alive”. 17 years later and their music continues to impact and empower my life in Christ! Thank you Skillet!!

Love Skillet! They have helped me to grow closer to God. And I pray they hit many more ears that like their kind of music in hopes that whoever is listening, will hear their message embedded within in.

I heard them at a Winter Jam concert years ago. Excellent. But what stuck with me was a testimony he told about a young man, a teenager, who was very withdrawn, possibly autistic, and had become unreachable. Jesus used one of Skillets songs to get through to the young man. It was said to be life-changing. 😀 😀

I just took my 3 grandsons, ages 9, 7 and 6 to Winter Jam 2 days ago because they specifically wanted to see their favorite band Skillet! Watching them sing along to every song was awesome!

I'm a grandma who listens to Cooper Stuff (John's You Tube channel). I appreciate so much the good influence he and the band had on my sons in their late teens. I love their no compromise stance! Thanks, John. :)

I LOVE Skillet, and I agree that something within music helps open the heart, and then the Holy Spirit can use that openness for His good! That’s why, as a Christian, I only listen to Christian music now, I believe it gets me off to a good start and really does help keep my mind focused on the right things. (And what could be better than worshiping God throughout your day!?)

I love this!!!! I have been a Metal Head my whole life and because Skillet is a Christian based band, they have become my favorite band of all time!! They have replaced Shinedown, Metallica and all the others that used to be my favorites!! I still love my old favorites, but Skillet is #1 to me!! I am a Christian and proud of it!! And also, Kirk is one of my favorite people to follow on any form of media!!! And Candace is as well!!! I love how Christian faith has evolved and grown as of late!!! And I am 63!! Just saying!! Have a great day!!

I will have to admit some of my favorite songs by skillet are lions, victorious, terrify the dark, anchor, stars, those nights, and whispers in the dark. I like all of the faster songs but these ones hit home for me. Yeah, I am a pan head!

How does it work? People ask for help. Ask and you shall receive. Before that, we are all prodigal sons who haven't yet come to the point of really asking to see how we got here. We all will ask for the way out. The pain gets too great.

Reminiscing my children 13 & 17 watched videos on surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, in the late 90's (they'r surfers in San Diego) and we moved to Montana. They watched boarding videos [music from Skillet] I remembered them vividly. They still owned their skateboards, Snowboards, Surfboards including their children. My children learned to snowboard in MT & met some radical Christian friends there from Big Mountain, now moved by the beaches VA BCh and Florida, Yes I remembered Skillet music, sweet to my ears from Air 1 or sometimes K-Love.

I'm waiting for the day when Munky and Jonathan from Korn are saved. The last interview I saw of them you could tell something was working inside of them but I don't think they realized it. I followed Brian's Bible study/conversations on RUclips for a while. I need to catch up on them. I saw a fairly recent video of Kiko from Megadeth talk about his faith and being in the band. What's interesting is how many people in popular metal bands are Christians. They only talk about it when asked.

I'm pretty sure Jesus had his harshest words for the holier than thou religious legalists. Why do Christians feel obliged to shoot their own?

Kirk, I wish you would have asked John why he loves to flash the I love satan hand sign during his concerts, and when he does interviews on secular podcasts, he also flashes the I love satan hand sign.
No true believer in Christ could Ever do that, the Holy Spirit would Not let them.
And ask him how he could tour with Iron Maiden and Rob Zombie and others.
Because before they go on stage they have an altar and pray to satan.
Maybe that’s why he flashes the I love satan hand sign.
