My favourites from TO are niacinamide 10% for AM and PM, and for PM I alternate between Alpha Arbutin 2% and retinol .2% in squalene every 2nd night. Also love their moisturizer and glycolic acid 7% toner. I use the AHA/BHA once every couple of weeks. Huge improvement in texture, skin tone, oil control and plumpness to my skin. Have been using spf everyday thanks to Dr. Dray🌞🌞
I've been using Argireline 10% for 2 weeks and there is improvement. I'm really happy. In my family, crows feet at the bottom and sides of our eyes always show up. This is a good product and definitely adorable. You rock Doc ❣️
17:39 In fact, the idea of the AHA/BHA peeling solution clearly comes from a 2011 japanese medical study (Yuko Takenaka et al..) that compared a 30% glycolic acid solution with a 1% nadifloxacin lotion or 1% clindamycin gel and showed that at pH below 3.5 and used for more than 5 minutes, a 30% glycolic acid chemical peeling improves inflammatory acne eruptions through its inhibitory and bactericidal effects on Propionibacterium acnes.
I’m from Europe and I confirm I could buy 20% azelaic acid over the counter for 4$. I can’t stress how much it helped me beat acne during my teenage years.
You just reminded of when I used to use The Ordinary. I used all the ones for dry skin, Matrixl, hyaluronic acid, lactic acid, abscorbyl vit F and a Vit C I think. Really enjoyed the lactic acid and hyaurolic the most. I enjoyed mixing them up and using different serums for the day as opposed to the night. The squaline cleanser sounds good.
I have mature damaged & sensitive skin and the marine hyaluronics is remarkably effective. It absorbs without the stickiness or irritation I experience with other HAs. Used together with the Indeed polyglutamic acid serum, it dramatically plumps my skin all day.
Love the squalane cleanser! At the age of 48 I Just started Paulas Choice 1% Retinol, so that cleanser is so Nice (like you are confirming in this video). Never took care of my skin and love the sun, so you can imagine. Thanx for informative videos and I also watch them cause I miss the US (my dad lived there) 😊 Greetings from Norway! 😁
I love so many of the products from The Ordinary! However, Marine Hyaluronics, and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% are my HOLY GRAIL products!!! TO’s Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG is up there too. I CANNOT live without these products! Edit: Wow, I said ‘products’ too much in just one comment 😅
I've been experimenting with this line for a couple of months, and I have mature 60+ year old skin. Have used the Hyaluronic acid serum, Matrixyl serum, Caffeine serum, EUK antioxidant, Lactic acid 5%, and the moisturizer. The moisturizer is a bit lightweight for me, but can add a couple of drops of squalane oil or rosehip oil, which makes it more moisturizing. I do have the squalane cleanser but haven't used it yet. I recently received the granactive retinoid 2% emulsion, niacinamide 10%, and the marine hyaluronics. So far I have tried these last three only a couple of times and not sure I want these on my face. They all seem somewhat irritating. I have high hopes for the marine hyaluronics, but not sure if the salicylic acid in it will be a problem. I have the amino acid serum and one of the vitamin c derivative products coming. So far, the outstanding items for me have been the Matrixyl, EUK, the lactic acid, and the caffeine serum. Oddly enough I have found that the place to use the caffeine serum is on the eyebrows. By chance I watched a video by two dermatologists discussing caffeine for hair growth. That gave me the idea to try that serum on the brows. I believe it works well as a brow serum.
Where would you fit these products into a skincare routine? I’m using cerave face wash and moisturizer along with cerave retinol. I’m 35 with large pores and oily skin. What products would help me the most ?
I would like to know your opinion on the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%. I've watched all your videos about vitamin C, but this one is never mentioned.
I have used their Azelaic Acid 10% throughout both of my pregnancies with great results. My skin is pretty perfect during pregnancy, but I still use it to help with keeping melasma at bay and helping keep any potential acne in check. I normally use Differin and switch back to Differin after pregnancy.

I don't know about the redness, but I have very deep acne scars all over my cheeks. The AHA/BHA mask is a miracle for scars because it really helps exfoliate and remove the damaged skin layers so all you're left with new damage-free skin. The amino acid + B5 should also help with that. It doesn't do much for me because I have years and years of scarring from overexposure to the sun and just generally not taking care of my skin when I first started getting acne, but it does smooth out the appearance and help a little with healing damaged skin. This is just my personal experience though. Hope this helps :)
I love their Niacinamide and Hyaluronic acid serums! They both work really well for me. I've also been using their retinol (lowest percentage) for a while but I haven't noticed any improvements yet. I'm thrilled to use their Squalane cleanser, I have it but it's still unopened.
@@rabiaabusufian7199 it is working. I got a lot of compliments from family. I coupled it with niacinamide from the ordinary (it 10%is way too strong. Will stop once bottles end).
Hi Dr Dray. When the ordinary was first released to market from Victoria health (I live in the UK) I ordered a multitude of different things - as many of us did. A few years on there are only a few products I still reorder, namely the squalane cleanser, the nmf and some of their facial oils. I still appreciate the revolution in skincare this brand caused and they should always be lauded for that, but many other affordable brands now exist and some have better formulations overall. I struggle with AHA/BHA as I have rosacea and eczema, so I moved onto PHA a while ago. For hydrating and soothing products K beauty is fulfilling those needs. Their azelaic acid is not my favourite texture and I moved onto the more serum format from GOW or Geek and gorgeous. I use tretinoin and have no use for retinols. I do really enjoy the cleanser and nmf and am happy they can now be bought in larger sizes, making them better value overall. The oils are good quality for the price and my dry skin loves oil. I think they're a good starter brand or real budget favourite, but layering multiple single ingredient products is something I'm over. I would rather pay a little more for a well formulated serum with multiple effective ingredients. Just my opinion and I'm not knocking the brand. As stated I think they have a special place in many people's heart, for how they completely changed the skin care market. This is well deserved and I will still continue to buy the products from them I do like. Best wishes.
I tried the Ordinary for the first time back in the spring... I like the AHA/ BHA peel... I would like to try some of the ones that you covered here, so thank you☺

Oh thank god, the thorough review I was looking for hahaha. Thank you :) hard to find videos without bias! I just started using active ingredients in my routine. I’m very happy with the ordinary so far. You named some of my favorite products (the marine hylauronic and the squaline cleanser and the salicylic acid masque!!! I wanted to try the buffet one, now I can do it with some confidence 😁).
Thanks. 2 questions please. Can you use the caffeine ecgc on the whole face even though it’s for eyes. Also would you recommend the buffet with copper peptides. Thanks
My favourite ever product was the Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% (now discontinued😭).Kind of a strange product, definitely strong (enough that it came with usage warnings) but seemed to overnight improve clarity, texture- everything really. Was seriously impressed.. Like the EUK 134, it gave warming sensation (slight burning if too much applied) but never actually produced any visible sign of irritation for me despite the sensation upon applying🤷🏼♀️ The Pycnogenol is also a very good product imo, but not on quite on par with ALA. I would love to see more research and brands use ALA, as at the moment I think it’s mostly only in Perricone MD products for high prices😵💫
The niacinamide serum and the glycolic acid 7 solution are my all time favorites from the ordinary! I’d like to try the buffet now 🙂 oooh I forgot the azeleic acid, I love that one as well. Makes my red skin calm down a bit ❤️
I bought the Peeling solution, the glycolic acid toner, squalene cleanser, hydraulic acid serum, and Moisturizer + HA. Both the peeling solution and the moisturizer give me hives, but I have really sensitive skin so I’m surprised the rest didn’t make me break out. I’ve been using my Neutrogena Hydro Boost at the end of my treatment instead of the HA and I haven’t had any allergy problems, I’m going to try the alternative mentioned for the peeling solution and see how it goes.
I adore their squalane cleanser (I don't often wear makeup and not only use this to cleanse, but use it to give myself a lovely facial massage-perfect slip for it), their niacinimide + zinc with their Buffet (been using those two everyday since they came out- definitely see the benefits!), sometimes the Matrixyl, the amino acids and their lactic acid 10%. Along with these Ordinary products, I also use a few K-beauty products, mainly for extra hydration. I'm very consistent with my skincare routine and my skin has never looked better at 48. I think that's the key to good skin- consistency and figuring out what makes your skin happy. :)

@@ambilove I have not used Good Molecules but I had noticed them recently on Beautylish and was impressed by some of the ingredients and the price. Wayne Goss did a video recently on two affordable skin care brands and Good Molecules was one of them!
I appreciate how straightforward and thorough your product reviews are! Thank you for sharing!

COSRX hyaluronic acid serum is amazing; I’d love to hear Dr. Dray’s opinion on it.
Fascinating
I’m from Europe and I confirm I could buy 20% azelaic acid over the counter for 4$. I can’t stress how much it helped me beat acne during my teenage years.
My favorite is their Glycolic Toner and Lactic Acid.
Agree on the Lactic acid! My skin was ANGRY as hell about that glycolic toner though ugh 😡😣
@@manda_musings8459 Yeah it definitely won’t be for everyone, since all of our skin is different.
Which do You use? I’m used to 8% glycolic acid from Paula’s choice & want to try lactic but not sure which % to start with

Hi Dr. Dray! Please make a video about a skin care routine that is safe during pregnancy!
my favorites so far have been:
1. peeling solution
2. rose oil
3. niacinamide
4. hyluronic acid
5. lactic acid

Could you talk about favorite Paula’s Choice products?

How do u use the ordinarymoisturizing? Is it after the serum?
I use the Paulas Choice 10% azelaic acid and it really clears up any pimples. Much better and less drying than using BP products.
what's BP?
@@oswaldenriquepairat3008 sorry. Benzoyl peroxide
EGCG has been found to slow down, Amyloidosis, in medical studies. It is a rare terminal disease, that we have in my family. Amazing stuff!
Egcg? This is exciting! I happen to be drinking green tea atm. Weird timing. Exciting research.
i thought peeling solution is red for you to see where it is on the skin and don't miss when you will clean it
that makes sense...but it also makes for more fun content
Actually it gets its color from the pepperberry plant which is red and is in the product
I have used their Azelaic Acid 10% throughout both of my pregnancies with great results. My skin is pretty perfect during pregnancy, but I still use it to help with keeping melasma at bay and helping keep any potential acne in check. I normally use Differin and switch back to Differin after pregnancy.

any recommendations from the ordinary for reducing redness and acne scars?
I’m also scrolling to comment section to find an answer anddddd anyone would answer, it’ll be a great helpppp
Someone help us!!

Heyy.... how are the results so far? M considering to buy it for my bumps and pigmentation.
Because of you my face looks much, much better. Thank you.
Thank you always for existing ❤️🧡💛

Oh thank god, the thorough review I was looking for hahaha. Thank you :) hard to find videos without bias! I just started using active ingredients in my routine. I’m very happy with the ordinary so far. You named some of my favorite products (the marine hylauronic and the squaline cleanser and the salicylic acid masque!!! I wanted to try the buffet one, now I can do it with some confidence 😁).
Thanks. 2 questions please. Can you use the caffeine ecgc on the whole face even though it’s for eyes. Also would you recommend the buffet with copper peptides. Thanks
I love love love the Buffet with copper peptides.... Way more than the original Buffet.....
My favourite ever product was the Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% (now discontinued😭).Kind of a strange product, definitely strong (enough that it came with usage warnings) but seemed to overnight improve clarity, texture- everything really. Was seriously impressed.. Like the EUK 134, it gave warming sensation (slight burning if too much applied) but never actually produced any visible sign of irritation for me despite the sensation upon applying🤷🏼♀️
The Pycnogenol is also a very good product imo, but not on quite on par with ALA. I would love to see more research and brands use ALA, as at the moment I think it’s mostly only in Perricone MD products for high prices😵💫
I love their niacinamide 10% +Zunc 1% also the Alpha Arbuthnot 2%+HA. I’m going to order other products like the squalane cleanser and the buffet.
The niacinamide serum and the glycolic acid 7 solution are my all time favorites from the ordinary! I’d like to try the buffet now 🙂 oooh I forgot the azeleic acid, I love that one as well. Makes my red skin calm down a bit ❤️
Yesss Love their azelaic acid!
Oo iv been waiting for this! Thankyou! 👍In UK , about to listen in car on way to work .
Enjoy! Hope you have a good day at work
Thank you! It was an evening shift here in UK 🙁. Hope you , your mum and Tybee ok!
