The car that Ernie Irvan drove in this race sits currently at Warbirds Museum in Phoenix as a Dale Jarrett #88 Ford Taurus, the chassis later became a reliable road course car for the Yates team, this was also the same race car that won the race with the controversial Ricky Rudd penalty in 1991.
The Cope/Krebs accident is incredible! I haven't seen this race since it was live 30 years ago and had no recollection of that incident. Wow! That was crazy! Krebs fell a substantial distance and nearly landed in a parking area! That was absolutely crazy!
