Thanks Tim! Yes, I was one of the players that was afraid to move from the first position for sure. Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment! Enjoy your week buddy👍
You are an absolutely amazing teacher I will be turning 60 this May 7th and I could not be happier to have found you as a teacher, although I played guitar my whole life I've always been a rhythm guitar player in bands I've been in, and although I can pretend to be a lead guitar, buy whipping out several cool riffs that I've learned through the years, I'm just now really learning lead after all these years, I look forward to you being my teacher for some time to come.. thanks for your channel
Man what a great video and what a great teacher you are. You do such a great job by taking a simple concept and expanding our knowledge in it. Thanks for your content and keep up the good work! The only think I want to point is that it would be really great to give us a backing track to use all the useful tips that you taught is!
Thanks Fotis! Glad you took something from the lesson. You should be able to use these concepts over most G minor backing tracks. Give it a try. Happy jamming man 👍
Thank you, my playing has moved on a gear because I can understand your teaching, including things I have seen others try to teach but did not fully get.

Rusty you sound great have great lessons and Im so glad your channel is doing so great . Its all useful info presented by a super nice guy , Keep doing your thing !
I swear every time I see your name pop up, I just know it’s going to be really good content. You always have some of the best content. Can you do some stuff on rhythm and how you tie it in with lead?
Thanks Rusty. I have learned much from you & Marty Schwartz. You guys give a great deal for free. When he was just starting his channel I contacted him asking to buy advanced lessons, he sent me 60 videos of totally free, mostly advanced type lessons. You are helping many guitar players by these lessons. Is there a way one can send you a few bucks in appreciation?😀

@@raymster8450 My channel is mostly intermediate. Just practice the pentatonic scale over some backing tracks. Up and down the scale. Trying to keep time. That’s really hard to start feeling it. Most backing tracks tell you what pentatonic scale to play. You will be on your way if you do that. Talk to you soon Ray.👍
Great tutorial Rusty 👍🏻 I’ve been trying to remember the top sections of the pentatonics, I think it’s starting to sink in now buddy 🎸 congrats on the 20k subscribers my friend 👍🏻🏴🎸

Rusty, the tone you got is really great. Please tell me what guitar amp affects settings you’re using to get that wonderful tone. I am currently watching you play your Stratocaster.
Hey Bill, in this video, I was using the Carr Mercury V amp set clean with some reverb. Also using the J Rocket Audio Archer pedal. Are used to set up live also. Thanks so much for checking out my video. Later bro 😎
@@rustysguitar1Hi Rusty, thanks for your reply and tips on tone. Does your guitar have standard stock pick ups and wiring? Also, I’m not familiar with the J Rocket, what does that do? Thanks again for your excellent education Sal videos!
It does have stock pick ups. I’m not sure what those are because I bought the Guitar used. But the key for me is setting the amp clean and using a overdrive pedal like the J Rocket Audio Archer pedal. Gives it a thick sound with a lot of clarity. Thanks again for watching my videos.👍
