I think there should be a formula, based off of how much the parents are doing, like if they’ve quit their previous job so they can transport and protect the kid, that should get factored in. I do think a minimum of 50% should mandatorily be put into savings for the kid

Fun fact about my 2+ years of postpartum anxiety with my first baby: I was constantly paranoid about button batteries, I started dreaming about finding them all over the house, and in a state of unconscious panic, I’d swallow them myself instead of throwing them away. Then I’d wake up still panicking and give myself a stomachache thinking about the ingested batteries. Motherhood is SO FUN

Wild kid story for you I'm a private piano teacher. I work at a music school and i teach kids as young as 4. I see and hear all kinds of weird stuff from these kids. Lol i love all my students dearly though. I was teaching a piano lesson with a 6 year old little girl. we chatted, she told me about her day at school. The lesson continued and she was playing her song on the piano. She stops in the middle of her song and SPITS OUT AN ACTUAL CAT TOOTH. FROM HER MOUTH. It is pooled in saliva in her little hand. I nearly vomit. She proceeds to tell me that she had been hiding it in her mouth all day at school because she wanted to show me the cat tooth. 🤢🤮 I said "thank you, but please put it in a tissue and go wash your hands🙃". Lol Y'all's kids are sweet, but they can do weird gross stuff haha.

Mama June’s dr*g use, arrests, and rehab was HEAVILY documented and shown on the show. It was incredibly sad and disturbing. Those 2 girls have REALLY been able to keep moving forward in positive ways and I hope they both are able to continue that trajectory because they really deserve it. After all of the garbage ab*se those ladies have gone through DUE TO THEIR SICK MOTHERS ACTIONS, is just gross. I hope they can take her to court. If only to teach a lesson.

Just a PSA about the batteries our pediatrician told us that if you suspect or have seen that your child has ingested a button battery give them honey then go to the er immediately. Lots of honey will coat the battery and hopefully give you time to get to the to the ER

So a scary parenting moment is definitely when my son (almost 3) and my daughter (barely 6 months) plus I was maybe 4 months pregnant. I went to take the puppy out to potty and my son decided to lock me out. I literally panicked to bawling my eyes out trying to get in, trying to find an open window. Well he heard my daughter crying and instead of unlocking my door he went to sooth her instead. I was so panicked I was beating on the window and apparently beat on it so hard I busted through it and managed to unlock the door. I wanted to yell at him but I was to concerned about them I just hugged them and cried. Yea scariest moment ever!
This reminds me when my daughter was 4 she locked herself in the bathroom and we had to take the handle off to open it. It’s funny now but she was crying and I felt so helpless. 😅

I don’t know how yall didn’t didn’t crack up laughing but great job! In regards to the bachelor - this is probably the best season I have seen…either ever or in a long time. The lead was intentional with his words which was refreshing but also heartbreaking because the girl realized during their last date that he wasn’t going to pick her which lead to finally something happening that actually hasn’t happened before: she went and talked to the other girl (they keep them apart in the end) and talked to her to basically confirm her feeling that she wasn’t going to be picked and then she still went to the final ceremony and told him she knew he wasn’t picking her and she left in her own and it’s after that you get to see the two girls together. That also has never happened before. Even previous contestants have said that doesn’t happen. It was actually heartbreaking to see the moment in the date the girl realized he was talking about their relationship in the past tense. Also - something that is WILD and is bachelor adjacent is the Clayton Echard has been going through a legal battle with a woman who has lied about being pregnant and it’s been going through the courts for months now. She has gone through so many lawyers and has yet to provide any proof. There is so much more to it but I highly suggest you look in to. @daveneal as done a TON of coverage on it.
Kendall! I had something similar happen to my daughter when she was about the same age as Holly. One morning we woke up and my daughter had been sick. She had a stomach bug and had been throwing up. At one point she threw up and it was bright red and smelled like iron. Like blood. I went into hysterics. I threw her in the car and rushed to the hospital with her convinced she had gotten into something and that this wasn’t a stomach virus after all. It was about 10 miles down the road I remembered… she had taken a flinstone vitamin with her breakfast. It was a cherry one and the “blood smell”… was the iron in the vitamin. I felt the exact way you described… I had to pull over to the side of the road and sob out of pure relief and fear building up. Most mamas have been through something like that and unfortunately it won’t be the last scare. ❤hang in there!
i was babysitting my baby niece one time and she pooped in her diaper and it was black and tarry and my oldest niece googled it cause i was confused( i have no kids of my own so don’t know much about babies) and google said internal bleeding and i had a full on panic attack and text my sister(their mom) and she was like “oh yah she’s been eating a lot of blueberries, it does that to poop” 😂😅 i was so scared lol

You’re so smart to be scared of everything. My daughter who was eating EVERYTHING choked on an almond and I kept talking to the drs office and they were saying she was fine but she was wheezing. So on the 3rd day, I took her to the children’s hospital and they did a strong X-ray and she had aspirated it into her lung and had to immediately be taken into surgery. It was the scariest moment of our lives. And THEN our son was playing in the bath and was using one of the baby yoda bath bombs from target and there are like little charms in those (but he doesn’t usually put stuff in his mouth) but he did that night and he choked on it. I had to grab him and turn him over and it fell out. Thank god. Second scariest night of our lives. Be careful. ❤
I’m a Georgia girl and I’ve been watching Alana and her family from the beginning! Basically grew up watching their shows. It’s sad how money and fame can change some people, if you look back at their first show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, it was clear that mama June cared about her girls more than anything! She was such a good momma and always put her girls first. It was heartbreaking for me to watch her change over the years. It seems like recently after getting sober that she genuinely wants to be back in her girls lives, but unfortunately past mistakes are coming to light when it comes to Alana’s money. So sad! I love this family and wish the best for them.
Something to be noted is TLC has mostly filmed these shows like Honey Boo Boo exclusively outside of California and most of the contracts pay the family as a unit. The same thing has happened to the Browns and Duggars. The money has exclusively been paid to the parents and the kids get nothing.
I don't keep those small batteries in our house for that reason.. I had to call poison control once and they said that those batteries are their main concern

Regarding Honey Boo Boo, the real problem is the law in Georgia and probably other states. There are always going to be greedy or irresponsible parents. All states/the nation need to require trusts for child actors. Also, I'm sure the reason the percentage is so low is because only a rare few child actors make it big. The majority probably just make a few bucks here or there so 20% makes sense. There needs to either be a tiered percentage system based on magnitude of income or a flat cap of a certain dollar value over which amount everything goes into a trust. So frustrating.
In my opinion, 20% is what a parent who is legitimately managing their child’s career might take fairly, not what the child has left after their parent squanders the rest!! What a travesty
Oh Kendall I have been there with my toddler! She had just turned three and I was six weeks postpartum with my second, and I had some gummy laxatives setting on my kitchen counter from my first days home after giving birth (iykyk) I was changing my sons diaper in another room and she managed to push a chair to the counter, climb up and grabbed the bag… when I came back out to the living room I found her sitting on the couch eating one, and as I looked closer I realized there were at least ten empty wrappers around her 😭 they seriously tasted like candy. I called poison control and ended up bringing her to the ER just to be safe. I cried so much that day, felt like the worst parent ever. She was perfectly fine and never had any issues thankfully… We ended up finding out she had shared most of the laxatives with our dog, so that was fun. 😬💩 You and Josh did all the right things, I’m so glad it was just your water!
Kendall and Jenelle. To make good homemade ranch, all you have to do is mix a cup of mayo, a cup of milk and a pack of hidden valley seasoning. It's real restaurant ranch. It doesn't taste like the bottle.
My family has a very similar story to kendalls scare 😅 I was around 5, and I was asleep on the couch. My dad came out to get water or something, and he noticed I had puked all over myself, and he could see with the TV light that it was BRIGHT RED. He was freaking out trying to remember everything we had eaten that night and if there was anything I could've gotten into, etc. He woke my mom up, and she freaked out, and could not think of anything it could be other than blood. They decided to go to the ER, and when my dad lifted me up, he got a good whiff.... HOT CHEETOS!!! my brother and I ate pretty much a whole bag 😂 I somehow slept through all the commotion, which really didn't help the panic
Remember the sponge cover that went over earbuds on headphone? My younger brother shoved it up his nose and it was there for probably 2 weeks and my parents couldn't figure out why he smelled so bad. They finally took him to the dr and he looked up his nose, yup, that sponge was molding in his nose. They got it out thank goodness.

My irrational mom fear involves my child swallowing two magnets, or one magnet and another magnetic object. Swallowing one is fine(ish) it's when there's more than one that things can turn bad super fast.
My daughter swallowed a magnet when she was 5 and I definitely had some moments of sheer panic, until I could reason with myself that it was only ONE magnet so she should be fine. But I was nervous to even buckle her into her car seat in case the magnet started pulling against her organs 😢 I checked her poos for over a week until I saw that magnet come out 😒

So a scary parenting moment is definitely when my son (almost 3) and my daughter (barely 6 months) plus I was maybe 4 months pregnant. I went to take the puppy out to potty and my son decided to lock me out. I literally panicked to bawling my eyes out trying to get in, trying to find an open window. Well he heard my daughter crying and instead of unlocking my door he went to sooth her instead. I was so panicked I was beating on the window and apparently beat on it so hard I busted through it and managed to unlock the door. I wanted to yell at him but I was to concerned about them I just hugged them and cried. Yea scariest moment ever!
This reminds me when my daughter was 4 she locked herself in the bathroom and we had to take the handle off to open it. It’s funny now but she was crying and I felt so helpless. 😅

In regards to the bachelor - this is probably the best season I have seen…either ever or in a long time. The lead was intentional with his words which was refreshing but also heartbreaking because the girl realized during their last date that he wasn’t going to pick her which lead to finally something happening that actually hasn’t happened before: she went and talked to the other girl (they keep them apart in the end) and talked to her to basically confirm her feeling that she wasn’t going to be picked and then she still went to the final ceremony and told him she knew he wasn’t picking her and she left in her own and it’s after that you get to see the two girls together. That also has never happened before. Even previous contestants have said that doesn’t happen.
It was actually heartbreaking to see the moment in the date the girl realized he was talking about their relationship in the past tense.
Also - something that is WILD and is bachelor adjacent is the Clayton Echard has been going through a legal battle with a woman who has lied about being pregnant and it’s been going through the courts for months now. She has gone through so many lawyers and has yet to provide any proof. There is so much more to it but I highly suggest you look in to. @daveneal as done a TON of coverage on it.
Kendall! I had something similar happen to my daughter when she was about the same age as Holly. One morning we woke up and my daughter had been sick. She had a stomach bug and had been throwing up. At one point she threw up and it was bright red and smelled like iron. Like blood. I went into hysterics. I threw her in the car and rushed to the hospital with her convinced she had gotten into something and that this wasn’t a stomach virus after all. It was about 10 miles down the road I remembered… she had taken a flinstone vitamin with her breakfast. It was a cherry one and the “blood smell”… was the iron in the vitamin. I felt the exact way you described… I had to pull over to the side of the road and sob out of pure relief and fear building up.
Most mamas have been through something like that and unfortunately it won’t be the last scare. ❤hang in there!

You’re so smart to be scared of everything. My daughter who was eating EVERYTHING choked on an almond and I kept talking to the drs office and they were saying she was fine but she was wheezing. So on the 3rd day, I took her to the children’s hospital and they did a strong X-ray and she had aspirated it into her lung and had to immediately be taken into surgery. It was the scariest moment of our lives. And THEN our son was playing in the bath and was using one of the baby yoda bath bombs from target and there are like little charms in those (but he doesn’t usually put stuff in his mouth) but he did that night and he choked on it. I had to grab him and turn him over and it fell out. Thank god. Second scariest night of our lives. Be careful. ❤

I’m a Georgia girl and I’ve been watching Alana and her family from the beginning! Basically grew up watching their shows. It’s sad how money and fame can change some people, if you look back at their first show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, it was clear that mama June cared about her girls more than anything! She was such a good momma and always put her girls first. It was heartbreaking for me to watch her change over the years. It seems like recently after getting sober that she genuinely wants to be back in her girls lives, but unfortunately past mistakes are coming to light when it comes to Alana’s money. So sad! I love this family and wish the best for them.
She cared so much, she got the show canceled because she dated the man who abused her oldest daughter. The man served prison time for it.

Something to be noted is TLC has mostly filmed these shows like Honey Boo Boo exclusively outside of California and most of the contracts pay the family as a unit. The same thing has happened to the Browns and Duggars. The money has exclusively been paid to the parents and the kids get nothing.

Regarding Honey Boo Boo, the real problem is the law in Georgia and probably other states. There are always going to be greedy or irresponsible parents. All states/the nation need to require trusts for child actors. Also, I'm sure the reason the percentage is so low is because only a rare few child actors make it big. The majority probably just make a few bucks here or there so 20% makes sense. There needs to either be a tiered percentage system based on magnitude of income or a flat cap of a certain dollar value over which amount everything goes into a trust. So frustrating.
They need to change the earnings act for child stars. So many of them have parents that spend the kid's money n the kid grows up to find nothing
In my opinion, 20% is what a parent who is legitimately managing their child’s career might take fairly, not what the child has left after their parent squanders the rest!! What a travesty
Oh Kendall I have been there with my toddler! She had just turned three and I was six weeks postpartum with my second, and I had some gummy laxatives setting on my kitchen counter from my first days home after giving birth (iykyk) I was changing my sons diaper in another room and she managed to push a chair to the counter, climb up and grabbed the bag… when I came back out to the living room I found her sitting on the couch eating one, and as I looked closer I realized there were at least ten empty wrappers around her 😭 they seriously tasted like candy. I called poison control and ended up bringing her to the ER just to be safe. I cried so much that day, felt like the worst parent ever. She was perfectly fine and never had any issues thankfully… We ended up finding out she had shared most of the laxatives with our dog, so that was fun. 😬💩 You and Josh did all the right things, I’m so glad it was just your water!

I was around 5, and I was asleep on the couch. My dad came out to get water or something, and he noticed I had puked all over myself, and he could see with the TV light that it was BRIGHT RED. He was freaking out trying to remember everything we had eaten that night and if there was anything I could've gotten into, etc. He woke my mom up, and she freaked out, and could not think of anything it could be other than blood. They decided to go to the ER, and when my dad lifted me up, he got a good whiff.... HOT CHEETOS!!! my brother and I ate pretty much a whole bag 😂
I somehow slept through all the commotion, which really didn't help the panic

Remember the sponge cover that went over earbuds on headphone? My younger brother shoved it up his nose and it was there for probably 2 weeks and my parents couldn't figure out why he smelled so bad. They finally took him to the dr and he looked up his nose, yup, that sponge was molding in his nose. They got it out thank goodness.

My irrational mom fear involves my child swallowing two magnets, or one magnet and another magnetic object. Swallowing one is fine(ish) it's when there's more than one that things can turn bad super fast.
My daughter swallowed a magnet when she was 5 and I definitely had some moments of sheer panic, until I could reason with myself that it was only ONE magnet so she should be fine. But I was nervous to even buckle her into her car seat in case the magnet started pulling against her organs 😢 I checked her poos for over a week until I saw that magnet come out 😒
