Hip Osteoarthritis (OA hip) is neither a metabolic, tumor nor infectious entity but a common mechanical disease in the elderly. Pharmaceutical therapy is not crucial, curative, and fundamental treatment. It should be treated mechanically either by external bracing therapy (first-line treatment), internal realignment surgery or artificial joint replacement (last resort).
