Thank you. I just replaced the keyboard in a acer E 15 (E5-576). Your video made the job so much easier. I am grateful that you took the time and energy to post this video. Thank you.
Thank you so much! My w and tab button weren’t working well, and I didn’t want to replace the entire laptop. Thankfully you had this video to replace the entire keyboard! It was easy to follow, and I didn’t break anything
Holy crap i got the same problem you telling me i gotta do all that to fckipng replace the keyboard. omg nextime i buy a laptop i need to check easy repairability. Thanks for the guide u got my sub
Thank you so much my G! I did it following this tutorial step by step and everything works. From the diagnosing to the ordering to the actual work. Thank you!
Blimey! Kudos to anyone who succeeded at this, it's like a completely new rebuild. I don't think I have the patience to do this myself so it's off to the techo for me. Great video though, I enjoyed watching it.
i have this laptop and my keyboard has been giving trouble. i doubt i want to bother replacing after watching your video. thanks for the video it has been very helpful!
Thanks for the video. You do not have to remove that last screw by the power cord in order to replace the keyboard. Just slide the keyboard out after lifting the metal panel and slide the new one in.
Hi Ricardo, I replaced mine some time ago and to replace the plastic "grommets" I just used my soldering iron, some random bits of plastic and a piece of aluminium foil. Melt the plastic unto the stub of the grommet, and then use the foil to flatten the area. I doubt the keyboard will be very stable with out replacing those things.
Thanks for the suggestion and genius move with the improvised grommets. Should have know better if they are there they are for a reason, only hope they would go with a better design that repair friendly for the future.
Hi Ricardo, thanks for the video. Quick question is that what if spillage happened on this keyboard right, and only some buttons are working, is there some type of method to clean those affected buttons with alcohol solution if possible? Thanks in advance
Not that I know of there is a circuitboard beneath those keys with pathways and the liquid caused damage so you can imagine the segmentation. Well thats my simple interpretation.
I hate these sorts of total disassembly but it is what it is. Good job! I wonder if I should just go ahead and get a hot glue gun. Lots of monitors require it go go back together. Did the keyboard have enough support without the "plastic grommits"? I think I might want to change the CMOS battery and blow out the fan while I'm in there.
Hi! Thanks for the video. I replaced my old unfunctional keyboard with a new one and it won't boot up. The light when plugged in turns on orange so I think the motherboard is fine. Could it be the new keyboard is also damaged, should I buy another one again?
Yea I was doing this as a favor for someone. This little I3 laptop ain't even worth it lol I'm gon be like this is what is wrong if you want to get a shop to do it go for it 🤣 this is why I build towers. An I replace laptops hahaha. I appreciate the video though ya a beast on these laptops!
Sir please help me maine kal apna laptop ko open Kiya tha dust saff karne ke liye lekin usko lagate time dikkat aa rahi thi wo do wire lag hi nahi rahe the keyboard and mouse wala kisi tarah lagaya fir laptop on Kiya to bohot keys Kam nahi kar rahi thi aur touch pad to bilkul nahi Kam kar raha tha mujhe dar hai kahi pura keyboard na badalwana pade please app bataiye kaise thekk kare
@@rickytlc1985 Thank you sir. I tried replacing my laptop keyboard and I didn't glue it back. After half an hour I'm proud I didn't broke my laptop. And hey it works! 😂
For anyone struggling taking out the "plastic grommets" like I was, I had a much easier time using gloves (for protection) and a single edge razor blade like the ones barbers use.
HI, I have this exact model of laptop and want to replace the battery, for that do I need to remove the circuit board in order to remove the battery, or like at 8:44, can I just remove it during that time?
Considering the power button is on the keyboard the keyboard may need changing.Do you see a light when it plugged in which would give a clue it’s being powered and keyboard is at fault.
@@rickytlc1985 Yeah the charging light shows up when it's plugged in. But the keyboard hasn't been working for probably a month now and this morning it wouldn't turn on all of a sudden.
I would guess based on all you have said that there is a 90% chance or greater it’s the keyboard. I don’t know why they choose to put the power button down n the keyboard-it’s best when it’s a button by itself which is just good design. If you could only power it on once more even by luck you could shut down the cover when not been used and press keys to wake later and use a external keyboard for the time being. You would have to make sure the battery would never delete though totally. That could hold you over until a replacement arrives or you get it replaced.
@@rickytlc1985 Another thing I realize is that, whenever I open the laptop the light that shows its on shows up and then goes off it doesn't even stay on long enough to show the Acer loading screen.

Yeh some keyboards are easier to change than others.
this laptop or maybe acer laptops are infamous for dead keyboards. I too have one
I ended up having no choice but to replace the keyboard and this solved other problems that seemed unrelated. And I decided to do it myself
I don't usually comment, but great job! It really helped
I appreciate the gesture and effort you made to comment and it made doing the video worth it.
Do I have to glue it back on or just by screwing it works perfectly and is it safe?
Thanks for the video. You do not have to remove that last screw by the power cord in order to replace the keyboard. Just slide the keyboard out after lifting the metal panel and slide the new one in.
Ok thanks for that extra tip

@@rickytlc1985 Thanks! Like an old friend used to say (speaking of car parts) " if the white man put it deh, it have use"
*THANK YOU* for this tutorial :) i could disassembly it thanks to you.
I am very happy the guide was done seeing it helped you so much.
Thanks man♥️ great work.. cheers
Glad you liked it!
Thank you very much♥️♥️
Thank you so much for your sharing. And I wanna know can we change normal keyboard to LED keyboard in Acer Aspire E 15.
is the keyboard stable without soldering? any difference without soldering?
I recomend you solder it back in place before closing up. A adhesive or glue that works like the plastic welds that were removed would be best.
@@rickytlc1985 thanks a lot
Nice one mate great job don 🤠🇬🇧👍👍🎂

Will the keyboards still be tight even without soldering ?
I recomend you glue it back in place or solder it to be on the safe side

Hey, my keyboard backlight stopped working recently... How can I fix it myself?
You would have to change the entire keyboard.
Do you need to weld this keyboard?
Hello there ! What is the thickness of the thermal pad next to the cpu ?
Hi, Ricardo, Can I install a no backlite keyboard N16Q2 in a laptop E5-576G-5762 which came originally with a backlite keyboard?
You can only install a baclit keyboqrd of there is a connexror to power the LED backloght on your laptop.

Can you tell me which screwdriver I can use to remove the screws that are holding the logic board down?
A standard Philips should work, you can also try different one from a multi set.
at 4:02, that screw is for an m.2 nvme drive
this one has backlight?
no
