Nice! Would have loved to hear the RetroRevival Eric Marienthal alto mouthpiece in that mix and see how it compares to these three. Great stuff!

Haha! At 05:49 Sam visibly recoils when Simon blasts the Super Jet!

Pretty sure some permanent damage was done to Sam's hearing in this video ;-)

I have owned two of the three Sanborn and Super Jet. I did not like the Drake Sanborn MP it is a very restraining mouthpiece for me but I love my Super Jet it’s free blowing yet it has versatility and it’s extremely comfortable in comparison.

I sold my Sanborn piece recently. I owned it for two years but it just wasn’t my taste.

Good choice. The Super Jet was the one I liked best out of the three.

The Theo had a sweet soul thing.

Hello! A very fun video! I'm going to admit my bias straight off. I own one of these three, it's the JJ super jet and it's a 7. I ordered the gold plated power ring ligature along with it. After working my way through one of those Vandoren reed cards at 2.5, I really prefer the red box Java reeds over the other 3 types. In comparison, it sounded unpleasant with either of my Legere reeds, which suit my ebonite mouthpieces much better. That's just my experience with it. 🎶🎷

The Super Jet was my favourite of the three, so I think you made a good choice. I've started using a Vandoren Jumbo Java A45 and that works really well with the new French Cut Legere, so it might be worth checking those out; although I do find that I have more stamina with a Green Java 3!

I currently own the Jody Jazz SuperJet and the Drake David Sanborn piece both with tip openings of 7. I am partial to the Drake Piece. The Jody Jazz piece will receive a revisit though because it sounds the best watching this video. Thanks guys for the vid.

The fire is nice… however not the flagship model.. should of compared the Durga against those other two… and u would of seen the thinner rails you were looking for.

The JJ is very good for a specific style imho.

How would you compare the Durga to the sanborn mouthpiece in brightness, response and feel?
