Love to watch the changing of the guards you do a great job and so very proud of our armed forces
That’s very kind, thank you for watching! 🇬🇧
From the U.S. think you have the BEST Kings Guards channel
Thanks for this video of the "Gates of Canada." I was unaware of such a notable landmark in London.
Victoria, Canada, named after Queen Victoria, is the capital city of British Columbia, located on Vancouver Island.
Vancouver is the principal city on the mainland. Princess Anne visited us not long ago. I want to express my well wishes for her complete recovery from her injury. She is a great horsewoman, and it was an unusual injury. Thank you for your tours, especially from the 'horse guards' view. 😶🌫☺
My pleasure, I’m glad you enjoyed the tour! 👏 Thank you for thoughtful comment! 👍
Watching from Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, thank you for the views,
I visited London in 2010 and 2019 from Melbourne Australia. I watched to changing of the guard from almost the same position that you are. It was an amazing experience. 🇦🇺
I'm watching from Northern Ireland
Hello to you over in North Ireland and thanks for watching! 👍
The trees in n that park are truly magnificent. A truly rich & civilized country cherishes its trees.
I was in London this year, 2024, in May. I did see changing of the guard. I'm from the USA.
Hi from Kansas City...love your calm running commentary...Im following your trek on a paper map whilst eating lunch...
Oh this is just awesome! 🙌 🇺🇸 👏
I’m in CA! I can’t help but feel concerned for the citizens of the U.K. because the new PM is a progressive socialist 😳
I’m so happy RUclips recommended your channel! And the walking perspective of walking up to the palace was awesome!!
I’m in North Sacramento CA 💙🇺🇸💙
Ann New Zealand, Loving the videos, the scenery is beautiful to see, plus appreciate your running to give us always the best views.
Another kiwi watching great video 🎉❤
Hello from Dunedin in the South Island of New Zealand. I appreciate you explaining the two parks and the Mall, when you see all this on video but its not explained and you live at the bottom of the World its difficult to fully understand. your simple explanation has really helped to picture it. Thank you.
Congrats! I watch multiple channels that show content about Horse Guards and the regime bands, as well as, channels that show me around London…yours is the first channel in the past year that showed me that there are various gates at the palace with names of other countries! I love that you give us so much history! Thank you! I love your videos! I’m from LA, California❤️🇺🇸🇬🇧❤🇬🇧🇺🇸❤🎉😁🕊️🙋🏼♀️
Yes have lived in London in the past studying. Hence saw the Changing of the Guard numerous times.
I am watching from Invercargill New Zealand
14:25 I wonder if that Sikh ‘soldier’ would wear a helmet for protection, whilst under battle conditions? If so, then he should wear a bearskin whilst on ceremonial duties. Otherwise choose a different regiment.
On the contrary, Sikhs have been incorporated into the British army for over 120 years, they have never wore helmets, as can be seen in pictures from the likes of monte cassino during ww2 etc, they were and are some of the most fearless fighters around..
A very very beautiful video, and so interesting, a pleasant walk around Backingham Palace and parks! You make a very good job! Oh thank you so much and nice evening from your italian fan❤
Thank you, it’s much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed it!💂
I have seen the changing of the guard and toured Buckingham Palace in 1999 .
I visited London every year between 1972 and 1989 except one year together with a class of students from a Danish commercial school until it became too expensive for the students.
But I still miss you madly
Love your channel. Could you do a video of the Guards Museum at Wellington Barracks? I have been twice, and found it most interesting!
Beautiful old trees in this park. Watching from Sweden. 💚
👍 👍
I was there in 1994 and yes did see The Changing of the Guard
My dear friend, no I have not been to England. I have never had the opportunity or the chance to go visit and I am from New England Massachusetts but I’ve always been interested in our history there and here and I also have my favorite medical service animal who is an English bulldog by the name of, sir Frederick, a.k.a. Freddie😂😂❤ I am actually in a small town outside of Boston❤❤
Oh Boston is a wonderful city! 🇺🇸 And Freddie the Bulldog sounds fantastic! 🐶 👏 Thank you for tuning in! 🇬🇧
Viewing from Fairbanks, Alaska
Fantastic thank you so much for your video .
From Tel Aviv Israel.
Elli from Lancaster, Texas
Thank you for these videos. I love the narration! From the US and have never been to the UK (or anywhere outside of US). Would love to visit London but don't think I can deal with the crowds. Is there a better time of year when there aren't as many tourists?
Hello! 🇺🇸 Hopefully one day you will be able to 🇬🇧 I would say February to April and September to November tend to be the least busiest times! Thank you for tuning in!! 👏
Not just london mate theres another 4,000 castles to look at and not as many people have a look at castles videos
@@kennethsewell4245 Yes, there is so much to explore. Thanks for the info!
@@TheKingsGuardsChannel I will remember that. Thanks so much!
@@AlleyCat2023 your welcome
Viewing from the commonwealth/state of Virginia, USA. I like this walk through the park. Slight correction on the plumes of the Coldstream guards. Their plumes are red🙂
Hello to you across the pond! 🇺🇸 Oops 🙏 I may have made a tongue-twisted error, 40 mins of talking will get ya! 🤣 👍
@@TheKingsGuardsChannelyou’re excused. 😀one thing about Virginia. We have several locations mainly in what’s considered the Tidewater area that are named after some people and locations in England.
I'm watching this from the United States of America
1985. Never saw changing of the guard. Busy rushing to see one play after another. 3 in one day.
I stayed for 1 week in London in a street named half moon street, green park was just across the road
Watching from New Zealand
The Drum Major is wearing quite an array of medals. Do you know what they are?
Watching from Scotland
Anyone know the name of the song at 36:22? What a banger :D
Edit: nvm, found it, it’s Red Men’s March :)
Johnson City, TN
The Scots Guards don't have a plume because they were usually in the middle during battle presume the others that have theirs on the left or right were on the flanks.
That’s interesting
Columbus Ohio😮
Las Vegas NV its a hot 107 degrees (Fahrenheit) to day
Where is everyone going so fast?
Big Ben. The tower is refered to as Big Ben and the Bell is Big Ben. So were looking at Big Ben, Big Ben?
It was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II 🇬🇧
@@TheKingsGuardsChannel The tower has had various names i.e The ClockTower, St. Stephen's Tower, The East Tower and, for some reason, 'Big Ben'. Note that four of the names correctly identify it as a tower. Big Ben is the clock inside the tower and is named after Sir Benjamin Hall who oversaw it's installation. Because calling the tower Big Ben is in common use doesn't make it correct, it's just misleading.
@@william6682The big chiming Bell is named Big Ben not the clock itself.
@@maybarnard1088 Yes, I know.
Great knowledge and lovely video
Do they do that every morning? I’m American in California…💙
I think it’s three or four times a week. And I think the schedule changes when fall or winter comes
PNOENIX AZ, USA
1964 yes
Stop with the commentary. No one needs to hear you telling what we can already see and hear. It's annoying.
Nothing wrong with the commentary, if you don't like it simply turn off the volume, Duh.
Then don't watch I like the comnentary
@MarySmith-ym2ib, like others said, turn your volume down or don’t watch. There are other people who aren’t Londoners who enjoy the commentary and/or are trying to learn what’s going on. There’s another RUclipsr who videos around the corner who does need to stop yapping because he’s rude and dramatic
Hi from Australia. Heading for 80 and never left our shores. Hence love watching.
