Thank you for your great comment, my friend. You're right. A Rc plane of this size needs an adequate airfield to fly. The pilot told me that the gears are strong enough to fly even on airfields without a runway of concrete.

I've always found it interesting, but never thought to try it or get into it. After watching this I'm considering buying an RC Car or Plane and give it a go. Looks like a lot of fun. 👍

The max. speed is around 190 mph [306 km/h].

    • @johnsherlock3310

It sounds simple, but in aviation, scaling things down even a small amount makes a big difference, because weight is a function of volume, while lift is a function of area, so if you build a plane at 1/2 scale, it will have about half the lift of the original, but only 1/4 the weight, doubling the lift-to-weight ratio. It's late so I don't even want to do the math for 1/6, but it would be exponentially lighter.

Well done guys, what a beautiful brilliant model performed really well, the landing was incredibly accurate for the maiden flight, I think the Concord is the most amazing airplane ever built, but I am biased as I was one of the team that constructed and coated the main pilot and nose windscreens my job was to put the metal heat film on the glass it was one thousandth of a human hair strand. So you have brought back some very happy memories. Great job and beautiful model for the many hours that you guys have put in to the construction of your vision.
