Now retired, I was an Air France Concorde engineer in the eighties, this model is fantastic. I do imagine the difficulties to built it as we didn't have a lot of access to 'work on the real one ! All my congratulations to the team.
Agreed! I've never really watched any RC related videos at all, but this was unbelievable! An older cousin of mine has a big passion for buying, building & racing those RC Drag Cars. I've always found it interesting, but never thought to try it or get into it. After watching this I'm considering buying an RC Car or Plane and give it a go. Looks like a lot of fun. 👍

Where I lived in west london concorde was a regular visitor over my house, the noise was deafening but I loved every minute of it , I was gutted when it was taken out of the skies ,very sad .this is certainly the next best thing ,very well done.

The 1st time I seen the real one it caught me by surprise! If I had been driving a bit slower would have had a great view of it. Then seen it leave Toronto on its goodbye tour. That RC is very cool and must have taken along time to put it together and get it right!

Whoa- I just had the very same feeling, as when I flew my first RC, for the very first time! Oh, that was a mix of fear and joy....maybe 80% fear. 20% joy. This is AWESOME!

Well done guys, what a beautiful brilliant model performed really well,the landing was incredibly accurate for the maiden flight, I think the Concord is the most amazing airplane ever built,but I am biased as I was one of the team that constructed and coated the main pilot and nose windscreens my job was to put the metal heat film on the glass it was one thousandth of a human hair strand. So you have brought back some very happy memories. Great job and beautiful model for the many hours that you guys have put in to the construction of your vision.

@@ErikS308 Fly a plain like this, and you will experience the challenge. The flight was very smooth, also in the super tight turns. Either the plain is flying this stable or there was a well working computer stabilization system installed, it doesn't matter. The plain was stable in the air, anything else then sketchy!
When RUclips recommends a video and you're stunned by the ingenuity and the sheer talent of some people. And the most genuine display of pride at the end when posing for photos.
That model plane looked about $15,000 minimum! I was wondering about any cameras on the plane until I saw what looked like a camera under the left wing closer to the tip.
The scale wingtip droop is beautiful clearly resembles the real one. First time in a Concorde model that I nticed. The stance and landing gear height tall is perfect. What an accomplishment. congratulations ! Thanks for sharing..
@@jamesrogers47 Very true but Hacksmith looked into buying two something like 50 lbs of thrust mini jet engines an it was like I think 8 grand each. 4 of These could provide enough thrust to pick this off the ground. So about 30K for the engines. The guy who made the ironman like suit wants 300 grand I believe? He claims the total is around 1000 hp. He likely used way more expensive motors then the Hacksmith was using.

[THIS] is a toy that serves more than one purpose. Avoiding leaving 'stones unturned', there is probably much that can be learned by these projects. I gotta share this one with my son who used to pilot small planes. Even just a model of this thing one might keep in his backyard would be overly impressive.

I was wondering about any cameras on the plane until I saw what looked like a camera under the left wing closer to the tip.

The scale wingtip droop is beautiful clearly resembles the real one. First time in a Concorde model that I nticed.
The stance and landing gear height tall is perfect.

Nor Dic only on landing and take off for pilots to see. No nose droop during main flight.
But then I watch to the end of the flight and yep, they even had the nose droop during taxi. See 9:13. Amazing!
I've come back and watched this again. Those engines sound like real jet engines! That startup reminded me of my many flights in Fokker 70/100s!

@@jamesrogers47 Very true but Hacksmith looked into buying two something like 50 lbs of thrust mini jet engines an it was like I think 8 grand each. 4 of These could provide enough thrust to pick this off the ground. So about 30K for the engines. The guy who made the ironman like suit wants 300 grand I believe? He claims the total is around 1000 hp. He likely used way more expensive motors then the Hacksmith was using.
1/6... I think that might be ratio cost also....
Edit. I hope, for his sake, it doesn't show up on a "RC crash compilation" video.

Those Germans really love their remote controlled planes . I lived near a hobby airport in BadNauhiem . The planes these people had were incredible .

[THIS] is a toy that serves more than one purpose. Avoiding leaving 'stones unturned', there is probably much that can be learned by these projects. I gotta share this one with my son who used to pilot small planes. Even just a model of this thing one might keep in his backyard would be overly impressive.
