Everyone always finds overlap the hard way... just remove the cam cover and use the timing marks on the sprockets to find EXACT overlap/top dead center. No need to mark the pushrods and watch them move as you rotate the wheel and then repeat using your fingers. The best visual aide are the timing marks.
I have an 06 Road Glide and I installed a ss big bore kit cams oil pump and I used one whole tube basically on that oil pump being very generous. It's so important you install one piece at a time and Lube the s*** out of it also filling up the gears helps Prime and create a suction for the oil.
My lifters are turned so that the hole can only face towards the front or rear of the bike because of the tappets Groves. They cannot face the e line block. The holes can only face each other or away from each other. So I guess it doesn't matter.
I can only hope Harley in Panama City does as good of a job as you! I went with Woods wm8 22xe cam on '23 Low Rider S. Wider throttle body and intake also. On my 1,000 mile service, the Harley in Ft. Walton over filled my oil. They filled it to the hot fill line while cold after giving them $450. It was like a year ago and still mad about it🤬.
I noticed that my 2023 117 already had the newer cam bearing in it. Sort of a waste of time to replace it. I recommend checking before R&R. It might save some tooling money and risk. The part # is visible w/o removal. When I pulled mine out and found it was the exact same thing as the new one, I felt the replacement was not worth the risk or the tooling expense. I think 2023 and up has the new Koyo bearing in it from the factory.
just found this vid!! How in the hell (tongue in cheek) did you get those exhaust gaskets to slide in there like that?? !! I have to use a home made tool to insert mine...they are so tight!!
I think you're right, because of the crush washer right 🤔. No issues as of yet, but it'll be a good idea to replace them. You'll be able to check the plugs for fuel mixture down the road.
Question what is the purpose for the crank run out tool. Can you adjust anything for the use of it or its just for visual? Question is i did a stage 2 in mine just didnt buy crank run out tool only step I didn't do but i have a po330 code i can't remove. Tuned by dynojet
The tool is only needed if you’re planning on swapping your pump/plate. If you use your OEM pump/plate, then you don’t need to measure it. The aftermarket pump can’t handle.005 runout.
@@InfamousCreep awesome thank you. Would you happen to know how to remove that code po330c it cane out after installing my stage 2 sns 475. Have gone thru 2 dyno jet tunes still same code comes back after i clear it
Maaan now I want a stage 2 on my RKS 🤣🤣 Unless things improve and be able to get a Springfield DH🤟🫡🇺🇸🌵 Great video hermano really helpful no doubt How long do you think it took you taking your time of course you’d say?? Thanks🫡🇺🇸🌵
It’s probably a 6-8 hour job, took me longer because of the filming. I have a video on a Dynojet 475 kit, no tuning required and it’s a bolt on 100 HP+ kit. It’ll cost you less to upgrade the cam than trading in for a Springfield.
The best instructions for fitting a new cam I have watched. Clear as a bell. Thanks very much
Glad it helped, checkout the playlist for more detailed install 👍

Lifters do go in a specific way, they have an oil feed hole on one side. That hole has to go towards the motor on all 4. That feeds the lifter oil.
Why are some people installing the lifters hole to the rear of the bike and to the front of the bike? I don't know, that's why I ask.

That's not possible with my lifters. The tappets will only allow the lifters to be positioned with the hole towards the front or back of the bike.
I wish we could get a close up of what your doing with the feeler gauge.
I was using them to hold the liftercuffs in place while torquing them to spec.

I wasn’t aware, but I haven’t notice anyone else mention that. You could always buy the goods, and ship them back if it isn’t needed.

I was surprised myself, it was too easy 🤷
I have a 2020 RKS with a 3 stage , do I still have change cam bearing . I going to install S&S C/C with CR 483.
Was there any loctite used
On everything, blue loctite. Only red loctite on the crank pinion shaft
Did you re use spark plugs ? I thought new ones have to go in once you take em out

Good teaching video thumbs up!
Thank you!
beautiful job.. wish you were local to help me do mine!
💯💯💯
No start up?
I have the video, but it sounds terrible!! The tune from Dynojet sucks 😂

Excellent Vid!
Thanks 🙏
Did you install new chain and sprockets or original?
Original, OEM 👍
I had to remove my gas tank to get to my spark plugs.
Yes, you need access on the exhaust side. Just prop up the tank, no need to remove
Where did you you get the crank run out tool and cam bearing removal tool?
eBay seller whoya2350
I have videos on both tools in my stage 2 playlist
Found him thanks buddy!
What tune did you use
I've used a number of different tunes, the one in this video is from dynojet.

@@InfamousCreep naaah I’m keeping the Road King regardless but if you see an added Springfield to my garage you know I hit them lottery numbers🤣🤣🤣🤣
