My Lego Store Visit August 2024 + Haul

- This week I made my usual monthly trip to the Lego store. August is another busy month for Lego releases with over 60 new sets available, another wave of Star Wars sets are now out including the much anticipated Dark Millennium Falcon. So I will show you round the Lego store showing the new Lego sets on display and then show what I bought.

@@TheDyslexicGeak I cant afford much lego and this is the best set so far this year for me. Actually this is my first purcahse of the year. I've been waiting for this ship since the Benatar came out.

Apart from Minecraft you bought some great sets. I’m not into Minecraft myself but appreciate other people are. I too love the HP sets and have the sets you bought on my wish list. I’m kind of sitting on the fence to see how they all go together and whether I have the space or not. I’m hoping it won’t take too long as I’m not sure how long this fence can take my weight lol 😂
Haha, I’m actually moving things around again slightly, trying to get all my HP sets in one place but I forget just how many I HP sets I have and they take up a lot of shelf space, definitely need more😂
I feel you on the Mclaren. Its the first premium supercar Iv wanted but those prices stress me out lol. I still have several other technics sets and a couple other pricey sets in general that I know will retire before, so definitely lower on my list. C-P3O looks great! Out of all the buildable SW sets in recent, the droids always look better. I just need them to stick with droids so I can get a K2, and some more Droid Federation. I would love to see a battle and super battledroid someday. The rest of the August SW wave is increcibly pricey and expect those to go on sale within the same month. The Sarlacc pit is cool and definitely see it getting bought on sale whenever the Sail Barge releases. The marvel ones really surprised me as well, and those prices dont help them either, outside of the Milano which I think is the best Marvel set they have released this year. The hellicarrier just looks so bare bones. For that price tag I was expecting a bit more detail and bulk maybe on the level of the Millenium Falcon. The Age of Ultron intro scene set while cool, I did expect the scene to be a bit larger for $110 USD set. Of course the minifigs is what is driving that price up as a majority of those if not all of them are unique minifigs. I am looking forward to getting the new Hogwarts Modular castle with my girl. We were about half way done with the original when the first new sets came out and decided to stop trying to get the retired Castle hogwarts sets and save us a lot of money to get the new ones by selling our old sets and not chasing retired 3rd party prices haha.
Nice haul. Really like your new display shelves - your room is looking good! I picked up several smaller sets, enough to get the micro rocket launcher promo. The only new set I've purchased in August is the jungle explorer helicopter, which only became available in the US on August 1st.

Hi. I admit I did buy the McLaren. But I have to wait with the building. I am on vacation so a nice project for later. Went to Billund Denmark and the lego house, but the prices are higher there than they are in my country. Very strange. At least I got the stamp in my passport.
Oh nice one, very glad to hear you bought the McLaren, looks outstanding. Lego House is definitely on my list of places to go, hopefully can go in 2025🤞
great month for lego marvel and star wars, ill need to pick up the age of ultron diorama, leviathan, thor vs surtur and sarlac pit for my channel
Yeah probably the last big month of Marvel and Star Wars sets for this year, few more sets still to come but for the most part almost done. I’m so excited for the X mansion in November, going to be amazing

Thank you, yeah I cannot wait for September releases, hopefully the Burrow will be revealed soon. I have seen images of it but they are a little blurry, it looks fantastic

Thank you, they are a nice upgrade on Billy bookcases. My wife does really enjoy Lego, not as much as I do but she certainly enjoys the botanical sets🙂
Still holding out for the Jaws set. I didn't make it in day one. Went Monday, and it sold out. Looks like it's on back order. Not in a big rush. I'll just keep checking. Bound to happen across it eventually.
Yeah I’m certainly going to wait on the Jaws set, would like to have seen it but it wasn’t out. Give it a few months and it will be on sale at other retailers🙂
Not bought anything as im moving house this week. Cannot wait to move so i can get back to my Lego.

Nice haul. That’s crazy the black falcon sold out so quickly. I was in the flagship store on Saturday and they had a load of them. Definitely one I will get but I will wait for a sale. The jaws set is really nice. Definitely grabbing that one but will hold on for a sale or good gwp
Yeah I was very surprised it sold out so quickly, given it’s available elsewhere, I saw it in Game during the week too. Give it a month and it will be on sale. Would have been nice if Jaws had been out, would like to have seen it

Haven't bought anything this month, with school holidays and going away soon the lego budget has taken other priorities, but will be getting the jaws set another time.
Yeah that makes complete sense, summer is crazy expensive with days out etc. Despite all these sets coming in one month don’t feel any real absolute must haves, September however, my god😂

They are the IKEA VITTSJÖ and they are fantastic, nice and deep and look really nice and quite easy to assemble🙂
