Thank you alot for the time and Feedback Ryan, I am really Happy that you liked my entry (One Last Time). And this about having multiple parts or ear candys is something I really need to have more in my Tracks. Also the mixing/mastering of the track is way to compressed which I also need to consider more for the next Tracks/pieces I am working on. Again thank you a lot for taking the time of listening and giving Feedback to my track. I Had a blast working on this one and also playing the Saxophon in was a ton of fun.
Nice work. 👏
@@leonardsantoslaurio4877 thank you alot ✨
Let’s learn bois
Thank you for the feedback Ryan, I really appreciate it 😊 To be honest the sound of the solos instruments was my biggest concern… I had this idea and spend a lot of time tweaking the two instruments, but probably should have reshaped the composition to focus on something more reliable 😅 For the mood I think I let myself to be driven by a personal feeling watching the picture then what the picture was actually saying.
I’m really glad for your feedback and advices. The channel and the community are a really good help to improve.
I thought the cello wasn’t terrible actually. But yea that violin…..I liked your piece though.
@@Doty6Stringthank you 😊 I had only those solos strings… the violin sound was incredibly thin 😅 Nothing will never sound like a real player, especially on a solo. That’s why I try not to use them… I have been a bit too optimistic 😂
I totally did the same thing in my entry: ignoring the tech aspect of the picture and having a too sad a love theme. 🤣
I hope you do one of these for the April contest as well, that will give me something else to aim for of if I don’t make the finals or the honorable mention!
Don't worry about not having much to say. For me, even the facial expressions that you make while listening are great feedback in their own way
Really useful lessons, thanks.
"I don't have much to say" is perfectly acceptable criticism. Maybe not as helpful as "Here's why you didn't win" but then the latter isn't likely anyway. I'll take "Nothing to improve here" anytime. (You also sound like you have a cold which ain't no fun.)
Yea it was a nasty one, feeling better now though 😮💨
Can u teach a bit about the business side of composing & royalties, publishing & how placements works?
Thanks for video (:
Hey Ryan, if your a film or video game Composer do you need to record your music on a keyboard via midi. I have difficulty doing this
Unless you have the budget to afford live musicians, which is unlikely when starting out on smaller projects
*feverishly scrolls through chapters*
Thank god
You could have roasted me harder than that Ryan! lolol. Thanks for the notes.
I deleted the names so I actually wasn’t 100% sure which was yours. But based on the style I was like 95% sure lol
I really love your track. The blend between Saxophon, Synths, Guitar and Rock drums fits really well.
@@JonasM0r. thanks bro! Yours was superb as well
As a comment to RyanLeachCompJan2024: You say that "it could be a cool city." And complain that it's too dark, too mysterious. I obviously don't know how much cyberpunk literature you've read, but rest assured, in the cyberpunk genre, it's not just the "dark underbelly" of cities that are dangerous, corrupt and uncaring... It's the default state of affairs. It's is a dark genre. Although, I totally agree that this piece of music doesn't have the right vibe for the picture. It lacks the romance. It lacks the feeling that regardless how cold the world might be, love will always make things better.
What orchestral library would you recommend for around $400? (I qualify for most student discounts such as spitfires 30% off)
