I’m a 25-year-old young man just had my surgery on January 3, 2024. Currently on day 7. DAY6 I thought would be my turning point for D7 was a little bit rough expect to have a BM on day 8. I’ve been incorporating once a protein in my diet as well as using store softeners but grass fed beef with lots of vegetables like carrots and sweet potatoes and lots of fruit smoothies. Just took an ice bath it wasn’t pleasant but it’s soothing.

I had mine just after you on 1/5. Day 8 now. Day 6 was first day without a hydrocodone and it wasn't bad; however, I was surprised that day 7 was a little more painful. Today seems a lot better, gas doesn't hurt and I can actually tell if its gas vs BM. You are a little more risky than I am diet wise- I'm scared to do meat- I've been sticking to avocado and salmon.

Hi Chris, hope you’re doing well. I’ve been watching your lengthy videos and can’t thank you enough for doing this as your videos are really informative and helpful. You’re a great human being.
So I’ve had fissure for many years they’d usually come and go with over the counter ointment etc. However I’ve been suffering from it properly for about year and a half pretty much non-stop with some good days here and there. I tried so many different creams, suppositories etc but nothing seems to work as my sphincter muscle is super super tight plus I have the skin tag as well which is my colorectal dr called acute fissure and she recommended the Botox injection as a high preference from their point of view or the LIS if I really want it. Now I don’t know what to do. I’ve seen loads of online reviews about Botox injection and I didn’t find a single positive review about it and that scares me, also with regard to LIS my doctor tells me that it comes with some irreversible risks as well and I’m in my early 30s with most my life ahead of me. I really don’t know what to do. My doctor gave me some time to have a think about it then make a decision within a few weeks. Just wanted to see your opinion and also if you had the Botox injection at all?
    Thanks

Hello H Mikey, Let me start off by saying thanks for watching my Videos it's Not always easy to talk to people about this type of stuff. that's why I put these videos out and respond to Comments to try to bring comfort from uncertainty to this subject and also if your not already subscribed please consider subscribing, hit bell notifications and like the Videos it really helps my channel out to get the info out to others who need it and grow my Channel. Also Full disclosure I am NOT a Doctor these are just some tips that may help that you can do on your own that helped me that I learned from trial and error you assume your own responsibility for how you care for yourself, ALWAYS follow your Doctors orders and as far as your question, No I have not gotten Botox. like you when it all started for me I was searching tons of RUclips Videos as I too had an Extremely tight sphincter Muscle where I could not get any blood flow to heal along with a SkinTag also like you and was also getting bad hemorrhoids. everything I saw on Botox just didn't seem positive in healing Fissures and my Colorectal Dr suggested LIS Surgery because success rate is higher for healing. so I followed his advice and got LIS. I have a good relationship with my Doctor and I Trust his judgement. after Surgeries I can honestly say I feel as though I made the Right decision I'm doing very well and tomorrow I will be 2 months post op from my last surgery and i'm currently 100% healed and back to normal. no pain, pooping ok, and eating what i want even though i'm much more mindful of what I eat. Now time line on healing may be slightly different for everybody. taking care of yourself is Key to a successful healing otherwise it can and likey will reoccur which you don't want. Staying hydrated is very important can't stress that enough you should be drinking 6 or more 16.9 ounce water bottles a day more is better, as well as high fiber diet Lots of Fruits and Vegetables. I'm sure your bad days you feel that Broken glass type extreme pain when pooping.I know it's a nightmare, so few things that can help till surgery that may work for you is Ice packs between cheeks and continue with Sitz baths. stay away from spicy , greasy foods as it will irritate going to restroom more, also Alcohol ,smoking , and sugary drinks and foods that may constipate you like Rice will also cause discomfort. if you don't have stool softeners get them immediately you can get them over the counter at a Pharmacy. this will only help mild the discomfort for little bit till Surgery can be done.when going to poop try Drinking a COLD bottle of water as you poop weather you Down it while going or sip it. it will help pass stool little easier and help avoid Constipation which hurts 10x more when having a Extremely Tight Sphincter Muscle ... before surgery get a Bidet and a sitting donut I recommend a memory foam one with tailbone support they last longer and won't pop or deflate you can find best prices on Amazon for these items. I really hope this information helps, and you feel better. again if you like my content and information Please like the Videos, hit the Bell, and Subscribe. Take Care :)

The best thing to do is cleanse your bowels (same colon cleanse you take for a colonoscopy) Because everything you ate prior to surgery has to come out. after surgery eat light such as apples, pears, prunes, assorted dried fruits and drink bone broth and lots of water. You won't get constipated even if you take the pain pills as long as you eat light for as least 3 weeks it will save you from serious pain. Always take your stool softener always...this surgery is worse than having a baby. Lidocaine and itching cream by the 3rd week and lots of bed pads. Use an antibacterial soap to wash that area. ..

Don't eat anything spicy or citrus fruits or drinks...if you smoke or drink don't...when going to bathroom take a cold bottle water and sip while going...if you have a small step stool to use while going it will help with pressure if don't have anything then maybe lean a little to one side to help take some pressure off...make sure your doing sitz bath and keeping area clean but just don't get soap in area when bathing or use any wipes with Fragrance...I personally wouldn't use any..I used a bidet after Bowel movement in bathtub to clean before taking a sitz bath and soak for 20 -30minutes in hot/warm water..change gauze daily as needed and after each bowel movements..and while relaxing if feeling uncomfortable could use ice pack. Back there...if having any spasms try to Pee it helps relief the spasm discomfort or make it stop all together just don't force it even if you have to stand for minute to get going just don't force... MOST IMPORTANT Stay Hydrated LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER...days 4-10 probably going to be your worst before things get alot better be patient... you know your own body...if in doubt always refer back to your Doctor...I am not a Doctor and my suggestions are simply that based on my own experiences...if you choose to try anything here you do so at your own free will...that being send it may provide you comfort and relief...good luck hope this helps...if you are not subscribed consider subscribing to my channel for future videos and updates also hit the like button 👍 and notification Bell 🔔.thanks for watching my video and reaching out..
