    I really like the idea of Vlasov and Martinez and Kamna working for Roglič to help him win the Tour next year, and especially with the likelihood Ineos will be backing Evenepoel, UAE for Pogačar, and ???-Visma for Vingegaard! HOW FUN WILL NEXT JULY BE? Let's all pray none of them crash out to see a true, and somewhat even battle.

    • @swissbiggy
      @swissbiggy 8 месяцев назад

      Ineos = Pinarello and Evenepoel is the Specialized new poster boy. So you can already forget that combination. I do not even understand why anybody would start all those dumb rumours about Remco joining Ineos. I don't mean you of course, but all those people who make podcasts or write articles for the cycling magazines.
      Someone who has a private contract with Specialized for many years to come will never ever join a team that is not racing on Specialized bikes.
      And let me tell you some news 😉 Visma-Jumbo will not ride on Cervelo next season anymore but on Specialized. ✌Thus yes Vingegaard and Evenepoel will ride in the same team next season or another team with Specialized bikes must come and sign him. But that would have to be a very rich team since Remco does have a contract, meaning that the team that would want him must buy him out.
      Thus, just check the rich teams that ride on Specialized bikes. And you will know where Evenepoel will ride next season, but I did already tell you the answer. ✌

    • @kjaime7030
      @kjaime7030 8 месяцев назад

      @@swissbiggy There are already plenty of rich pockets ready to take Jumbo's place, which is why the merger with Soudal was being negotiated in the first place. As for having the money, Roglic is also under colntract, but it's clear plenty of teams are willing to pay big bucks for him, so ???-Visma will have that 6 million Euros per year to start with already. I seriously doubt after TJV just schooled him at the Vuelta that he'll want to join with Vingegaard. He wasnt the Tour win. Why is it not possible that Ineos switch its bikes to Specialized next year as part of a deal to entice Evenepoel? Ineos has money. They have Tour win experience (via Sky). I do not think these were ever "just" rumors. I think teams were making offers and Remco was considering the one from Ineos to the point he was negotiating with them. I don't know European cycling as well as you apparently do, but I know how casting rumors originate in Hollywood. They're always based on agents knowing who is having meetings with whom, combined with whispers of interviews "off-the-record." Yes, some rumors this past week were generated from people making simple suggestions on Twitter. It was getting crazy. But the Ineos+Evenpoel "rumors" were actually based on leaks from sources with reliable track records. It also start to add up when you look at things logically and you start ruling other teams out due to who is on their team, how much money they have, their DS experience, etc. What bike they ride can always be worked out separately with the sponsors. Pinarelli has been with the team since they began, but this isn't the Froomer era any more. Time to move on. If they can get Evenepoel, he can ride whatever he wants. Duh. Would UAE ever tell Pogacar what bike he has to ride? Of course not.

    It would not make sense for Roglic to go to a team with any sort of competition for the leadership of the team. Bora doesn't have another rider on his level, so he would be the clear no. 1 with some solid support from Vlasov & Buchmann. And young Cian, who can learn from Roglic for a couple of years, until he is more ready to be the main man himself.

    Bora makes sense given Roglic will be a true number 1. GC contenders like Jai Hindley and Cian U can continue to develop and even focus on Giro and Vuelta while Roglic focus on the TDF. No issues on the order of operations. TDF will be quite exciting.

    • @KD_cycling
      @KD_cycling 8 месяцев назад

      Agreed. And they can run a dual leader strategy (which seems to be the hot GT tactic these days) without any real friction since Hindley and Co are clearly still tier 2 leaders but too good for other teams to ignore.

    • @stacyp3295
      @stacyp3295 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@KD_cycling I don't think they will do a true co-captaincy with Primoz and the other GCs on Bora, he is number 4 UCI and the others are ranked below 20. I think he leads TDF and focuses on the result as sole GC. I think to make transition easier other GCs will be allowed to focus on other 2 grand tours 2024. No way Primoz co captain TDF, the will ride from him. He probably has this in his contract.

    • @KD_cycling
      @KD_cycling 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@stacyp3295 That's kinda my point. He will be the obvious leader as he is clearly a class above but the current winning strategy is to run a "co-leader" to open up strategic options and to be a fall back option in case of crashes, illness etc. Just like Adam Yates for Pogi, Rog for JV etc.
      Co-leader might not be the right word, more like a second protected rider. I think this setup suits Roglic's style. He can send probing attacks with Hindley or whoever while he sits in the wheels preparing to do his Roglic thing in the last 300m.
      The trick is to make sure the number 2 rider is a big enough threat that the other teams must respond but not so good that they threaten your leadership. The Bora GC guys tick that box I believe.

    IMHO, Bora is the best fit for Primoz. And the addition of Dani Martinez gives him a solid high climbing domestique. The loss of Nils Pollitt does sting but is not necessarily the worst negative. Also, I really doubt that Sepp Kuss is going anywhere. TJV will do everything to keep him on the squad. I don't think Hindley can win a grand tour if it includes a lot of the highest-ranking GC competitors, e.g. this year's TdF, this year's Tour of Spain, etc. I think that Roglic and Vingegaard have the best chance of winning the Triple Crown of Cycling next year, i.e. the Tour of Italy, the TdF, and the Road World Championship. However, I'm wondering if Bora-H has the domestiques who can enable Roglic to win a grand tour. I'm not sure if Danny Martinez is as skilled as he was when he assisted Bernal to win a Tour of Italy. Even though Kamna can sometimes win stages at the grand tours, I'm not sure if he'll be as high-ranking of a domestique as a lot of Roglic's teammates at TJV. I think Roglic will be much more on his own at the races compared to when he was at TJV.

    Jumbo had a great thing going! But egos and ambitions never fail? So I guess this is Sepp Kuss fault? Cause they were told to do the right thing? They swept the podium they are winning everything they want ? If jumbo had better management they could work this out …

    • @fruityurch
      @fruityurch 8 месяцев назад +2

      Its not Sepps fault. Things are to complicated with too many GC leaders, Primoz wants to try to win TDF and there is no assurance he will be able to do it in TJV. He does not want to waste more years skipping it.

    • @RonnelVillamar-vv3yf
      @RonnelVillamar-vv3yf 8 месяцев назад +3

      You need to go back to TDF as I believe this is where it started to get sour. I believe Primoz wanted to ride The Tour knowing that Pogacar had an incomplete preparation, but was probably told by the team not to because it’s “not part of the plan”.
      I also believe he wanted to ride the Tour of Switzerland where it’s the only one week race missing on his palmares , and again was told not to ride.
      I also believe that Jonas shouldn’t be part of the Vuelta team and was just a late addition.
      Jonas attacking on Stage 13 and 16 was clearly not part of the plan but because he’s the guy who won the Tour twice , the team didn’t object and protected him.

      It's all about the $$ and making the budget work. No way JV stays the way it is losing a major sponsor. From what I saw, they are still $9million short with all of the changes coming.

    Great news!! Primož have to brimg with him:Sepp, Tratnik,Attila Valter+1, 2 climber from Remco GT riders. BORA is great team,but they need to acquire one 🚜for TDF like Asgreen from Soudal.Losing Nils Politt is bad and they have to replacing for protecting Primož on TDF
    Great choice! GER,AUT ,SLO Alpine countrys have seam Germanic coulture,mentality,fight to the end,great technology,smart tactis.
    Next 2-3 TDF its 100% Jumbo will not win,but Rogla & Pogi show+ Remco(Ineos) Jumbo wining TDF is over for next 3-5years at minimum.
    TDF 2024 with no bad luck and Primož win this TDF.

      Roglic can't just "bring" riders under contract with JV with him to his new team. It's not his choice to make. I'd be shocked if JV allowed Kuss, Tratnik or Walter to go. And why would any of them like to go? Especially Kuss, why would he like to leave a team that supported him in winning the Vuelta and follow Roglic who did not?

They will consider his inputs,but idk how long or tipe of contract they have.I like Asgreen, he is great bodyguard on flat ,cobbles,gravels, like WVA or Ganna .now is crazy in quick step.Roglič in Bora need Asgreen becous Nils Polit is gone. Sepp and Primož and Sepp are good friends. After "Soudal Visma" everything can happened.Wil see,If Bora wana win they need good team. Vlasov cant do much to halpp @@Snarkum

The one race he was winning was la vuelta and he couldn't win that any more if you ask me not that now Sep Kuss won it this seson. INEOS needs a real reset. Roglic to Bora Hansgrohe will hopefully contribute to the development of Uijtdebroeks as a GC-contender. Other than that I don't see it doing much for the team, as Roglic has no hope of winning the TdF where both Pogacar and Vingegaard will crush him. Maybe it will give Roglic the chance of that fourth win in the Vuelta, but that is about as good as it can possibly get for him.
