Scott, both Olav Kooij and Jan Tratnic are not going anywhere....
Say what you want about UAE, they do give almost all of their riders a chance to win for themselves. Marc Hirshi in the one day races, Adam Yates in the week long stage races, Majka rode for Fisher-Black in a one week stage race. As much as it’s all about Tadej, they do share the riches amongst everyone.
This was also part of their goal to win the UCI ranking. Essentially a free for all to take as many UCI points as possible at the cost of not working towards the highest spot (unless Pogacar is there). TJV on the other hand focus' on taking the top spots, even if that means having only 1 rider in top 10 instead of eg 3.
UAE also signed a lot of these riders with promises that they get their own chances.
@@MDP1702 absolutely. They didn’t do it out of the kindness of their heart 😂. But I think it’s how they can keep their top riders not named Pogi going forward. Sepp Kuss is the exception, not the standard. Most of these guys want a shot. Ilan van Wilder is somebody who will probably leave SQS, merger or not, if all he does it work for Remco
@@MangoJasssss Van Wilder just resigned for another 2 years I believe and said he (for now) doesn't mind working for others if he also occassionally gets his own chance, which he does.
TJV stands in contrast to UAE, you get chances if you are clearly good enough, else you work for others. At UAE you can keep going for yourself, even if you already showed weakness (like the Vuelta or mutliple other races) or if you could have had a rider win if another would have sacrificed himself, but didn't.
Tao Geoghegan Hart, was another big surprise
Big thanks to Ineos! They just dropped a ton of cash in nurturing young talent for other teams.
Demar: Great move, bravo!
Landa signing with Quick-step was most surprising to me.
He must have came at a value as he’s not even been able to keep up with other teams domestiques for the last few seasons!
@@cyclingfreak56 How so? He was one of the better climbers in spring and was also great in the Vuelta. As a domestique he could be at Kuss and Yates level if he's in topshape, else just below that.
You missed Tao Geoghegan Hart’s transfer from Ineos to Lidl Trek, another wheel off the disintegrating Ineos wagon
Jayco is getting stronger! Hope they do well.
Yeah,but Simon needs climbers too,
Is there anyone left at Ineos?
Maybe disbanding
G is still there to lead out Cav.
Maybe Bernal can turn it around next year?
Luke Plapp isn't even out of contract, so that is the only really unexpected one for me.
SKY/Ineos has never replaced Nicholas Portal, until they do the denouement will continue!
Roglic to Bora Hansgroa ? Hopefully this will make them more than a sprinters team,
Out of all the chaos of rider transfers, team mergers, failed mergers, etc. the only team with no real rider pickup-from-the-pieces is Ineos. It seems like they only lost riders despite their huge budget. Let's see how they turn it around....
What about Sam Bennett? What is his confirmed team???
He's going to AG2R Citroen.
+Politt+sivakov
-roglic
Time for tdf#3 pogi?
This is top 10 riders transfer, not unaxpected.
TGH didn't make it? Bc of "unexpected"?
I had him in the top 10 cycling transfers so thought it would be too much hahaha
UAE Should have kept Mateo. jjj
Half of Jackobsons wins have been in second tier races against B-team sprinters! I suspect the team had to coddle his fragile ego by giving him easy races. If he doesn’t get a arm chair drop off to the line he’s usually ends up as pack fodder!
Looks like Ineos planning to plumb new depths of mediocrity ….
@1:54 is there an inside joke I'm not in on? Why do some kit have such ridiculous chamois stitching... and why do people wear ridiculous garb like this?? Sometimes I think kit makers are pranking us by deliberately making crotch clown outfits to see who is silly enough to wear it.
Those of us that ride bikes don't even give it a second thought. Someday, when you decide to get off the couch, you might try riding a bike further than a couple hundred meters and you'll understand.
Caleb is done. His glory days behind him. Sprinters burn out quicker than other disciplines.
