  • How to use the solidworks combine feature. Solidworks tutorial.
The combine feature has 3 different setting, add (to combine separate bodies together), subtract (to remove one solid body from another), and common (which saves the shape of 2 solid bodies that are colliding with each other). We also give a cavity and core mold example. Great solidworks tutorial for beginners, very simple example given for educational purposes.

hello sir, after mirroring the block can we make a single block. So that we have a body inside a single block. I mean can we make two mirror blocks as single. Thanks

Hello zees, I think I understand your meaning. If I have understood correctly then my answer would be yes. if the 2 blocks are just touching maybe the combine feature wont work to merge them, but if you emboss a small circle for example, that intersects both bodies and then click 'merge results' in the extruded boss feature then it should merge both the bodies together (in the same way you see around 1:30 in this video). If that doesnt work then sorry I dont know of any other way you would do that in solidworks. Thanks Zees :)
