Wow, those tones! It’s like someone took the “Strat” knob and cranked it to 11. Those are the glassiest sounds I have ever heard come out of a guitar. Of course, your playing was once again exceptional!

I have been bouncing back and forth between this video and the one where you demo'd the semi-hollow.... while I LOVE the idea of the semi-hollow, the Studio just sounds richer to me and that is were my heart rests. It's also one of the reasons I play bare fingers. Keep playing my friend... cheers.

PRS guitars are one of the best if not the best guitars in the world. From its SE lines, there is nothing really student about them. Nice! I really like position 5! I'm a PRS Fanboy, but I keep my HSS Strat because I think that's the most versatile guitar for my styles of music. The Narrowfields aren't 100% Strat single coil, but they've got their own thing going on which is close and really nice sounding. Thanks for the video! Right now I keep my SC594 with the neck pickup split to emulate the neck sound I love so much. I've actually considered buying a Silver Sky and putting a Full Humbucker in it 😄
Love what you can do with a guitar. I've had a S2 Studio for a couple years and it's a definite keeper. Along with the G&L Fullerton Bluesboy you reviewed I went and got one of those. But still can't get Tortise pickguard, as you did, and locking tuners from G&L. They have no interest in selling that to me. Thanks for the vid.
You nailed it. I have mine for +10 yrs, it definitely does not sound or feel like an HSS with real singlecoil guitar. It doesn't have the sparkle and spank, also due to the set neck construction. It's less versatile than a real HSS that is usually bolt-on. Great for solo's and overdrives but not so for spanky chimy rythm. I hardly play it these days. For versatilty there are better choices, at least for me.
