    Your baby is beautiful! I give my dogs much the same. Stopped feeding them dry about 18 yrs ago and my oldest dogs passed away at 20 and 19. All rescues. I add beef liver, chicken hearts and gizzards, beef intestines, chicken paws, fish that I've caught, blueberries, steamed carrots, apples, greens from my garden, homemade bone broth and goats milk. Plus a high quality fish oil and egg. During hunting season they do have some venison. I try to do all organic when and if possible. Love the coconut water idea! Will try it!

      It has nothing to do with love. Buying food for humans is expensive enough as it is especially when you have other humans to feed. Giving a dig this everyday is too expensive for a lot of people. Especially when the prices keep going up

    • @camthecanecorso
      @camthecanecorso  Месяц назад

      @JoeDirtisawsome it’s actually cheaper than going and buying a $80 bag of dry food that lasts a week and a half at most. Plus they stay out of the vet which is also saving you money. The same argument may not apply for a little dog, but a dog of this size will bankrupt you on a dry kibble diet

    My vet said bird bones splinter and can hurt a dog. They said never feed your dog any type of bird bones. Adult bones are okay.

    • @camthecanecorso
      @camthecanecorso  Месяц назад +25

      Not sure what an adult bone is, but as far as splintering goes, this only happens when a bone has been cooked. Never should you give an animal a cooked bone. Cooked bones become brittle and hard leading to splintering. Raw bones are softer and will not splinter into sharp pieces. Think of animals in the wild such as coyotes, wolves etc. Dogs come from the same species they do which is the canidae family. Dogs have much stronger stomach acid to break down bones. Any dog will thrive on a raw diet. There are too many benefits to list. Vets do not recommend raw diets as a liability due to the fact it’s still up to the owner to do it correctly. Also your pet will be 10x healthier and won’t be seeing the vet as much. Hope this info helps

      @@camthecanecorso very well said. I worked at a vet hospital for 9 years and sadly most people feeding raw do a VERY bad job....then they expect us to balance the diet for them, which we are not trained to do, because they are too lazy. I used to be against raw because of the lazy people BUT after doing more investigating, when done correctly (which isn't difficult) it is incredibly interesting and satisfying. I can't wait to get a dog next year to begin the raw journey!

      RAW is the key. Cooked bones are extremely harmful and should never be given to a dog. Raw bones are not sharp and do not splinter. When a bone is cooked it comes brittle. That’s where the chance of harming your animal comes into play. Raw bones are not brittle and will not splinter.

      RAW is safe. Cooked bones will become hard and hollow. Cooked is never ever ok.

      Raw bones are not hard and brittle. Only cooked bones are

    I have a 3month cane corso puppy that weights 45 pounds almost 50 . She eats 3 bowls a plate I do two eggs a week . And I add raw chicken . My question is for all three bowls do I add the chicken or that’s only for one bowl from the 3 I would give her each day . 😊

    Here is what I want to know do they eat the bone, and if so can't that be dangerous because bits of the bone can get stuck or poke them in the throat as they swallow.

      No raw bones are good because they are soft, its cooked bones that could hurt them or cut them like u say

    No disrespect I thought dogs were not supposed to have chicken bones. Is it safe for them?

      Eh not. Risk of splinters and choking hazards (rare though)
