- Onyx our cane corso pup raw feeding. Onyx is now 7 months and loves his raw diet. I just recently found out the corso bite force is about 700 psi, so he crushes the bone like potato chips 😁 please note he didn't eat that morning as we were out of food so we compensated a bit 🦍 let me know in the comments if you guys feed raw and If so, what do your portions look like.
I don't know why, I love raw feeding dog videos!
I have raw feeding on my channel , Check it out
That dog eats better than most humans haha
It’s amazing how he eats that chicken 🍗 wow I love the sound of him eating ----
The wolf is the dog's closest relative, sharing 98 % of the same d.n.a. Haven't seen any wolves sitting around a camp fire roasting their latest meal. So in short raw is the way to go!...👏 Bravo
To get on a more technical level since people like to argue with that, most dogs share the exact digestive system as wolves with only some breeds having slightly more starch-digesting enzymes than wolves. Raw is more bio-available to them than cooked, less waste in = less waste out and their bodies won’t have to work so hard to digest the indigestible. Cooked is also not safer for them than raw bacteria-wise, this is why you see many recalls because cooked tends to have higher salmonella flora than raw due to raw having a less than ideal breeding ground compared to cooked. So if a cooked food gets infested with salmonella it grows to levels that even a carnivore’s digestive system can’t handle. Sorry for the rant but this is good info for anyone looking to learn.
Not my 9.5 year old. She gets sick so i don't feed her that
What about salmonella? Lol it’s safer just to boil it… wild animals are not the same as domesticated ones lol yes similar digestives… but not the same 🤣💀 not to mention chicken bones can puncture a dogs intestines… 🤷♀️
@@lyssgoddess you would be correct when referring to cooked chicken bones. Uncooked chicken bones are fine.
Do I have to record it?
I definitely need a cane corso you have a beautiful dog
Thank you 🙏🏽
Talking about keeping it simple. Thanx u
What a beautiful dog idk why but this was so relaxing lol I hope you got more feeding video
Thank you lol I feel the same I always watch him eat lol I will upload more soon just been super busy but will have more content soon😄
Been feeding my Rottweilers raw for years. Balance it out with vegetables and fruit will give them a long lifetime. But bone is most important along with supplements.
Beautiful dog.
Nice! Raw is the way to go! Thank you....appreciate it. Do you have an IG. Would love to see your Rottweilers
@@uhmjack3968
I don’t. But they’re beautiful.
@Le e I use The Missing Link. Also coconut and fish oils. Kelp. Glucosamine for older dogs.
So satisfying to watch lol!
this is amazing for him.... full vitamins to grow big and strong
He's like "ughh I already gave you both paws"
Lol I know right 😅😂
Gorgeous Dog❤
Thank you🙏🏽 check out our Instagram for more pictures IG: uhmjack
Beautiful dog and we'll mannered great job
Thank you appreciate the compliment 😄
i would love to see more of these videos
*NICE FEEDING!!!*
Mannnn I miss my Corsos! Looks just like my female who weighed 140lbs. Nice 👍🏾
Thanks bro. Best breed ever!
Love your dog, he is amazing. The way he crunches the bones makes the video quite addictive. I have watched it several times. I am hoping to get a Cane Corso myself soon and start him on raw also. I am in UK and Corsos are fairly popular here too.
Gorgeous corso
Thank you!🙏🏽
Beautiful dog. I want a corso now.
Thanks appreciate it. Yes mine is great with the kids as well 🙏
Do it. They are TERRIFIC dogs. Majestic, intelligent and loyal. Mine is almost 2 and he's grown so fast !
Agreed by far the most loyal and intelligent dog I've owned they're personalities are unmatched. I love mine
yammi yammi
i love the dog
How early did you start him on the raw diet? My new pup is 9 weeks and I want her on raw but don’t want to start too early
I have a question ? Do you have to rinse it off first or do you just give like that with blood and all
Serious question , how often do you switch between proteins when feeding ? Like you’re feeding some beef & chicken then you said tomorrow will be turkey
How many meals a day does it take to make him happy?
Hello I was wondering if you add any supplements for his raw diet, like for hips and joints or probiotics, and your Cane Corso looks great, how old is he?
At what age did you start feeding him raw food?
How much meat is in there? Is it a kilo? And how many times do you feed him ?
Wow he ate those bones like I eat popcorn.
Is that once a day wow he just a pup too. I'm getting my blue boy soon I can't wait. Funny I love watching them slop all there food but if a human makes noise I wanna slap them.
Ahahaha omg same 😂
Is this what you guys feed him every day
Can I PLEASE get your advice on measurements when feeding my corso. I have a 9 week old corso. She’s 21lbs. I just started her on raw. I know everything to get and use. Just confused on measurements! HELP!
Is it 7months old.Can not believe, the way eat the bonny flesh.Do you add any additional medicine for digestion because of raw meat?.
Subscribed. I'm supposed to get mine mid January. Can you tell me more about raw feeding like if my 8 week old weights 20# how much should I feed him?
Thanks! Good luck on your journey. For a puppy at 20 lbs I would feed at least 5% of body weight daily so aprox 1/2lb per day in how ever many feeding you brake up.
How soon did you start feeding your cane Corso whole chicken bones not crushed?
Do they ever choke on the bones?
Would love to see how he's looking now. Also his weight now if you know it.👍😊
Will be posting an updated video within the next couple of days 👍
@@uhmjack3968 Awesome. Thanks!
Man that’s a lot of bone to meat ratio
What kind of tuna did you give him
Is that one meal a day for your dog or do you give him another serving of same later on. New to raw diet as I have an 80 pound 8 month old puppy and I’m scared of going raw
When I took this video he was eating once a day. However, he is now eating the same amount broken into 2 portions. Remember generally dogs should be eating aprox 3.5 percent of their body weight. My dog eats about 2 pounds of meat per serving, or 4 lbs a day total. An 80 pound dog would be at about 2.8 to 3 pounds a day. Mine has been on raw since he was a puppy. Good luck and remember to do your research
I liked the video. Is it dangerous for your dog to eat the bones like that? Also, how often do you feed your dog raw food like that? The Cain Corso will be my next dog. I love those dogs
The bone is okay ONLY when raw. Do not give them cooked bone as it breaks differently and can be very dangerous. I now feed 2 smaller portions a day. Look at the new video regarding food agression. It's aprox 4lbs of meats a day.
😍😍😍
How much do u spend in a month on this dog ?
How often do you feed him
Hello I have a question , so how do you get them use to eating raw foods , as a puppy what would be the right way to get them use to it
I did a night and day transition. I didn't feed kibble all day then towards the end of the night I feed raw. He was hungry so he ate it willingly. I also transitioned as a puppy the second week I had him. Good luck. 👍
I own a 4months cane corso and he hates to eat kibble food he eats only boiled chicken, red meat can you suggest me diet plan
I have a 8 year old corso i feed him Prescription kibble
Due to kidney stones..
But my puppy is going to be 10weeks.
When should i start my puppy the raw diet and how much i feed him ....
I have a question how good does he digest this food any problems?
Honestly no problem. He burns the food a lot cleaner...the stool is actually way less in comparison to kibble. Also poop is dry and small so no mess when cleaning up... almost crumbles. Also drinks way less water as food is moist.
Thanks so much I like the way u feed the best out of the videos I’ve watched. Where does one go abkit getting chicken feet and beef hearts??
What a handsome Corso! What Brewster did you get home from ?
Thank you🙏 I got him from bazmadskennel that's their IG. He is actually direct grandson of former world champion X-man.
@@uhmjack3968 I just realized I botched up the last comment, sorry about that. Cool, I’ll check them out! You can tell lol.
Are you still making content, I’d love to see an update on him!
No worries, yea just been super busy with work, I will be posting an update soon.
Also thanks for showing interest 🙏🙏
@@uhmjack3968 that’s great to hear man, I’m subscribed so I’ll be sure to keep the look out
My boy arrived 4 months old. Wow is that 1 meal for the day? I feel like im under feedjng him?
Yes I this was one meal at aprox 4.5 to 5 lbs. Per day...I have also done 2 feeding per day 2.5 lbs per feeding
We may be getting a lil pup soon, and I was wondering, my parents always said to not feed a dog chicken because the bones would splinter, is that statement false or just not super common? I’ve been seeing so many raw diets with chicken and I’m just wondering if it’s okay for a lil pup! 💖
How exciting 😊 yes raw chicken with bone is okay. However cooked chicken bone Is extremely dangerous
@@uhmjack3968 ahh gotcha!! Tysm for clarifying that for me!! 💖💖
OMG
Sardines substituted for the tuna might be a better choice because tuna has a higher mercury count, which if given to too much, may cause mercury poisoning
อยากรู้ว่า กระดูกไม่ตำใส่น้องหมาหรือครับ
I have a small hairless dog and I recently started feeding her raw meat. Not only does she absolutely love it, but her skin is noticably more vibrant and healthy looking. I still give her some kibble and misc cooked meat products but I'm definitely sold on the raw meat diet for dogs.
Oh and BTW, one thing I noticed right away is that whenever there are bones in the food, her poops will be white and fairy dry. I believe that's just extra calcium and whatnot passing through the body and is nothing to be alarmed about. If anyone has any valid info about that, I'd genuinely appreciate hearing about it.
This dog eats better than me lol
I eat Ramen noodle soup so he can eat like this lol😅
Dang I never seen a dog eat like that 😳 lmao even the bones too
Yea the bone is okay as long as it's raw.
He putting all that like he feeding a lion lmao
Fun fact: the Corso has a stronger bite force then a lion 🦁 😮 lion is aprox 700 psi the Corso is aprox 750 psi
@@uhmjack3968 I don’t believe that lol 😂
I'm sorry cane corso is 700 psi and lion is 650 psi lol google it 😏
We have two beagles and two GSD's they are on a 50/50 Diet.
Do you always leave the chicken skin on?
No I usually remove it because it's high in fat and calories
That’s a lot of food - how many times a day does he eat ?
Once a day aprox 4.5 to 5 lbs
@@uhmjack3968well, it sure seems to be working ! He’s beautiful & healthy & loves his food ! Greetings & blessings to you from sunny Central Florida 😎
Thank you 🫡
Do you feed him once a day of that amount or twice a day?
This was once a day, he now eats the same amount split into 2 servings.
@@uhmjack3968 aww alright awesome and how many pounds or kilos would you feed him at 1yr old vs 2yrs old?
I'm starting to feed my blue cane tomorrow. She's almost 4 and a half months and 45 pounds. Any suggestions?
Awsome! Yea when I transitioned I feed kibble in the morning then didn't feed anything else the rest of the day. The second day I waited till mid day to feed raw. He literally inhaled it. There was a point in time when my pup tried to swallow the chicken whole without crunching bone so I started to feed almost frozen to ensure he works on it a lot better.
No veggies?
How many times do you feed your dog a day?
In this video just one a day. However, currently he is now eating 2 smaller portion meals. Aprox 4 lbs a day
Is a whole egg shell good for them?
Yes it is fine.
Cane corso bite force is 680
How old is he and how many times a day do you feed him ?
He's just over a year old. In this video I was out of food all day so I compensated. I usually feed him the same amount split into 2 feedings. When feeding raw it should be 2 to 4 percent of the dogs body weight.
@@uhmjack3968 ok great thanks
What was the cost of this dog..when u purchased it?
My breeder has the best bloodlines. Scandifio and Bel Monte. Ed Hodas and Mike sotilie original bloodlines
is this a inside or outside dog
Usually inside but has been mainly out the last 2 week.
Don’t you worry about those bones chipping their teeth ? My sister’s dog died from an infection from a chipped tooth
Lol my 10 pound dogs rip through bone like that too. 😂
Ahaha I believe you lol 👍
He has one or two meals in a day?
In this video just one a day. However, currently he is now eating 2 smaller portion meals.
Uhmjack well,ok. Do you think a labrador could eat barf?
I don't see why not. Just take the time to do your research. Best of luck
Uhmjack thank you! I will start!
I have a Cane Corso puppy 2 month, when do I start feeding him raw meat??
You can start him as soon as you are ready I started mine on raw diet literally the second week I got him. To transition I fed kibble in the night didn't feed anything else during the day up until 6 and he devoured the raw food. Loved it ever since.
@@uhmjack3968 currently giving him kibble. Do I continue giving him kibble and raw meat? Im afraid he will stop eating kibble and require only raw meat? Any education or guidance will be helpful thank you for your time
@@robr4147 yea so you can do both you can give raw 2 or 3 times a day then kibble the others. Every dog is a little different but if he looses interest in the kibble you can always add broth to your kibble. This will also help since kibble is usually dry.
@@uhmjack3968 thank you for the education
How old this dog
In this video he was about 6 months

Isn't the ratio for him supposed to be 65-75 % muscle meat
15-17% Bone
7% liver and 7% other secreting organs
And Tuna being high in mercury shouldn't be fed?
Yes exactly. Every once in a while I let him go ham lol tuna in water is okay once in a while I substituted for salmon as we were out.
yes! just providing liver isn't good. the amount of liver he used was also really dangerous.. to much liver is very dangerous!! liver should never exceed 5%! total for organs should not exceed 20% they need two secreting organs in every meal, heart is not an organ.. the bone to protein ratio was way off. I understand chicken drumsticks and leg quarters are cheap.. but chicken should never be used as the main protein, always beef! this meal was lacking several key vitiamin and minerals! including Iron, Iodine, Vit E, K, and maganese just to name a few.. this is not a proper balanced raw meal for a dog.. a whole can of Tuna for any size dog is extremely dangerous!! only one teaspoon of tuna is considered safe for dogs ( size doesn't matter) even then it should not be fed every day.. feeding a dog like this, especially a puppy, overtime will cause serious vitiamn and mineral deficenticies and health problems! I've been studying k9 nutrition for years, I currently own 5 Rottweiler's and I've been feeding raw for 15yrs... these people have not done there research.
@@thetruepatriot7733 These were my thoughts as well, but I guess they'll learn through trial and error
It was only 2 small tiny pieces of liver. The other meat was chopped steak. It was less than 5%
@@uhmjack3968 good!! don't over do it on liver.. some major health issues in raw feeders dogs have been linked to excess liver. i try to include, spleen, kidney, liver, brain, lung, heart ( which is muscle meat,) and glands in every meal.. secreting organs and glands are important to regulate your dogs hormones especially growth hormones. also another tip beef organs are much better than chicken organs.. look into buying an organ mix.
He eats 2 times in a day?
Here he was eating once a day. Now he's eating 2 times a day smaller portions
@@uhmjack3968 you using to much bones, is that safe for dogs?
Raw bone is okay. But cooked bone is deadly. If they swallow the bone whole then give it to them almost frozen they will work on it a lot better.
@@uhmjack3968 my corso is 5 months old i will try this but i will give hom 2 times a day, smaller porties
Instagram is Onyx_grendel6.5
he eat the hole bone.......i love him....shit a brick
Lol need a bigger bowl lol
Gosh what a mucky feeder.
You can't feed your dog chicken bone, the bone can fracture and splinter in the dogs throat and lead to tissue damage.
I thought chicken bones can be dangerous for dogs? Because it can pierce the internal organs of the dogs once they broken? Please let me know
Raw chicken bone is perfectly fine. Has been eating raw since I got him as a pup. But when the chicken bone is cooked it is extremely dangerous as it breaks differently and can definitely puncture intestines
In short raw chicken bone is okay. Cooked chicken bone is a no
He Ate my whole week ration 🙄
I'm concerned giving my 10 pound shihitzu chicken legs because I always see nails on the feet. I'm worried the nails will scratch his toes or he will gag.
Usually remive the nails.
Be carful he don't get gut twist with the chicken !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bite force for cane Corso is 700 psi it is in third place among dogs which second place is a very rare dog the bandog with 730 psi and the number one dog is the Kangal shepherd at 740 psi no dog has a psi of 800 sorry and the tests r iffy cuz how can u make a dog bite with full force???
If y’all don’t get that dog a bigger Bowl that’s little ass bowl
No way would I feed my dogs chicken bones or tuna! Way to much raw
Both my dogs will only eat meat if it’s cooked for some reason
Maybe the consistency, you should try it almost frozen as a treat.
I feed raw but mince the bones up as theres a very sharp bone in the chicken that can splinter inside the dog.and its a fact it can kill the dog ..
You should be careful man
I got a cane corso he 8 months old just came back from training last month
That's awesome! Do you have an ig? I'd love to see your pup. Also have you noticed any drastic changes after the training? How long was your corso gone for?
@@uhmjack3968 he was gone for a month for obedience training and came back like a gentle man he does what he’s told and everything
@@uhmjack3968 and I don’t really have a pic of him on my ig
@@uhmjack3968 we are also thinking about getting a new cane corso a black one or a grey one is what my dad wants
Please do more research because when you post things like this it makes people think it’s ok to feed like this.
If that’s his daily meals that’s too much bone and not enough organ.
Yes I realize he’s a large breed and puppies require more calcium and phosphorus but that is not a good example of a balanced diet for a puppy.
Not his daily feeding. Look at the other video. Every once in a while I let him eat like this. As long as it's not an everyday thing he will be fine.
Cane corso or Rottweiler
