Той що відпав , єдиний працював.
@@user-ed1wz7jz2c 🤣🤣
Oh what a tragedy....
NOT!
In any case, on a four engine airplane such as this, when you lose one engine you lose 25% of your power but 40% of your performance, due to drag caused by the control surface deflections necessary to keep it flying straight. Engines are mounted on pylons attached to the wings so that in the case of the rotating assembly locking up suddenly, the engine pylon will snap from the imparted torque and the motor will simply drop free. It also saves the wing in case of a fire, which keeps the flames and heat away from the main spar. In worst case scenario, the engine simply burns off and falls to the ground. The sudden loss of weight and drag actually helps the plane fly and improves performance.
He seemed to have it under control, though the fact that they couldn't put the fire out makes me wonder if the fire bottles worked. This is Russia, right? So the answer is PROBABLY NOT. Why did it crash in the end? Either the drunk flying the thing got slow and stalled and/or Vmc'd it into the ground or the wing spar did snap in the end, causing the outer section of the right wing to literally fall off. In any case it sucks that these people had to die. Without Vladimir Putin being on board...

indeed
So these planes can not fly on three engines if one flames out? Good quality pilots.😂
I was thinking same way, like you, comrad…
I imagine the damaged, burning engine caused further damage to flight control systems. There have also been crashes where the pilots were unable to be sure which engine (you may not be able to see from the cockpit) had failed and ended up turning off the wrong ones
Maybe the plane was overloaded, it's a cargo plane, and it's war, and it's Russia, safety procedures come second, or twentieth.
Engine damages wing, wing does not create lift, plane goes down. Simple. Great pilot or not, plane with disabled wing can not fly.
Il-76s are heavy-lift transports, an aircraft type that most militaries never have enough of, so therefore important.
MAJOR fire around the outboard right engine, that apparently went out (extinguished by the crew?), and then something completely detached and fell away (part of the engine?) Aircraft seemed to be flying steadily afterwards, but descending. The fire or whatever COULD have affected that entire wing - damaged the other engine, cut hydraulic and/or mechanical links, render flaps and control surfaces non-functional, etc..
No indication that it was direct hostile action, like a missile hit, but this is a possibility. If the aircraft was flying comparitively low, a couple of dudes with a man-portable SAM could do it. Alternatively, some kind of systems failure / maintenance issue, possibly caused by the sanctions and/or the heightened demands of the war.

I’m no expert but that fire looks hot and if it stopped that wing working the plane was going down, especially when big bits are falling off 😂
@@chrisallsford788It's a very plausible scenario.
@@karbengo Very much so. Concorde suffered the same faith. Fire destroyed the wing, lift was lost and plane rolled and crashed.
Clearly not as good as our C-5s. When I was in Iraq, I saw a report of a C-5 getting shot at during takeoff, one of its engines blown out, just like shown here. Yet, that plane, which is aerodynamically impossible to wield in flight, turned around and landed otherwise intact.
Something else was going on with that plane. A four engine with a engine fire which looked like it went out, should have been able to continue on and land safely. I suspect this may have been an inexperienced crew or Russian pilots spend little time in sims going through various problem scenarios.
A big chunk of the airplane falling off at 1:23 can have something to do with it.
It was an 0rc plane . .
Unlikely. The three engine operation thing requires no other issues. That aircraft had a lot of something coming from the fuselage, or maybe the wing root. So there was other damage. I wouldn't be shocked if they took a missile in #4 and debris sprayed #3 and the wing, or that they had an uncontained failure which also took out other systems. Russian military aircraft aren't built to world civil aviation standards either, there's a reasonable chance they were overloaded.
